Confused. You said "The other two attack Stannis " but then the attacks are on dogs?? If two guards approach Stanis the first provokes. Also you attacked Stannis 5 times in all that. Even if I hit the first guard I may be down. Can we clarify some of that? Crossbow attacks shoudl be at -4 firing into melee, right? Stanis is a reach fighter and is all about the provoke.

A shoot your right I was doing a lot of copy pasting dice rolls to save a bit of typing and forgot to change the names after the attacks on the dog it should say guard 3 and 4 attack stannis and then the bites should say stannis and cid.

Stannis was attacked by 2 guards and then one crossbow and then a dog.

The first guard hit Stannis for 9 damage (a crit that did not confirm)
Then the crossbow shot which indeed would be at a -4 so a total of 16 ac to hit. If this hits (I think it does? I believe Stannis is down)

The the dogs would both attack Cid instead.

Thanks for the clarification. My action was based on the fact that I didn't realize that he was concealed. In that case, I'd like to change my shot to the most wounded guard. I admit I'm not keeping track of the guards. It would help if the GM would identify the guards and their current health status, such as full/a little hurt/somewhat hurt/very much hurt/nearly dead, or something of the sort.


@Slid I will try to incorporate health bars for the guards and sorry for getting your name wrong.

@Stannis Nearly all of the damage so far has been on Blackerly the only exception so far has been a single bite by a dog on guard 1. Every other attack missed so far. The guards have ac 16.

Crossbow shot is a roll of 18 + 2 - 4 for a total of 16.

Correction for map, R'yzzntyg in previous round moved up 5' to be behind Stan, with Grumble and Slid flanking her side.

When the dogs come to attack Stan and Slid, the one for Stan come close enough for her to strike out at the dog with her scimitar.

The swing misses the agile moving dog.

Seeing Stan getting hit, she casts some healing magic and reaches out to touch his back.

Cori moves up behind R'yzz as she goes to attend Stanislav, drawing her bow as she moves.

She raises her bow and fires directly at the guard in front of Stan's crumpled body, hoping to kill him before he can cause more harm.

Vinnick, Seeing Stan fall curses and then runs up behind the man and pulls out a scroll, he holds it up towards the guards and dogs and lets a burst of lights and colors erupt from the scroll as it burns to ash.

Scroll of color spray, DC 12 will save. angle it to go between stand and slid so it hits both dogs and one guard. (and so it does not hit Stan or Slid) I can't move my piece either.

The spray proves very effective taking the guard and a dog out of action for a while.

There is mist up in the area before the guards can do their actions. It is 20 feet high, and 20 feet radius centred on R'yzzntyg. Grumble is well inside the mist to be shielded by the mist.

A misty vapor arises around you. It is stationary. The vapor obscures all sight, including darkvision, beyond 5 feet. A creature 5 feet away has concealment (attacks have a 20% miss chance). Creatures farther away have total concealment (50% miss chance, and the attacker cannot use sight to locate the target).


*update map to include radious of fog, crossbowmen will simply bindly fire into the fog at the last known location of grumble instead.
