Anjo is able to get in another solid strike as the group slowly forms around the centaur, blocking him in. Milord joins him, just on the other side. His shortsword slipping through the druid's skin with ease.

As Vengeant Thorn falls the Scale returns to its semidormant state, floating to the ground as the wind returns to its normal strong level. The lightning and wind cease, and the scale can easily be retrieved.
the rest of your trip is quite uneventful compared to what you just went through. No more nearby druids or animals affected by it's strange nature.
Back at the Grand Lodge, Zarta welcomes you back and listens to your report. She has a wizard from the Grand Archive take possession of the Scale using telekinesis and take it to the vaults. "The Scale will be studied under isolated conditions to fully understand its effects and any who may have touched it." She looks to Doc and Xun and adds. "The Scale will be stored in the vaults under Skyreach once its secrets are understood, “to ensure no one uses it, and to keep it available in case we need to use it.”
Zarta then shifts her attention to Anjo as she can’t resist mocking him slightly. “It’s a good thing that this item came to my attention! Imagine if one of those reckless followers of Eando Kline had gotten hold of it? It would probably have been smashed to pieces or tossed back into the sea. ‘Vigilant,’ indeed!”
That is the end of the scenario, hope you all enjoyed the strange cursed scale. I a sure it will rear it's head again at some point. if you have not done so already please post your reporting information in the discussion tab along with your day job roll and I will get this game reported tonight along with Chronicles.

Just a question: There's no way we could capture the centaur alive? I would have loved to interrogate him.
Once the storm calms down, so do Khan. His antlers once again fall on the ground and he becomes normal again... well, as normal as Khan can be.
And once again he stays silent when going back to the driver's seat.
When he realizes that the trip goes uneventful, he tells to Xun:
"It looks like the forest was not against us, this centaur was. I'm happy the Lord of the Forest is not mad at us for bringing this scale to the Grand Lodge."
During the encounter with Zarta, he stays completely silent. The lady is too intimidating for him to talk.
Thanks for the game, Tyranius. It was a lot of fun!

He avoids Zarta, for Xun she might be worse demon than the ones that were chasing them.

If needed, and asked, Milord can use his scroll of heal on the Centaur (or cast stabilize).
Then, at the end of the fight, Khan will look at the centaur and ask:
"Do we let him bleed to death? He has powers over nature, I would like to hear him tell us what he knows about the scale."

![]() |

Doc shakes his head, clearly not making a move to rescue the creature. "The man is obviously a raving madman. No real attempt to negotiate our surrender, nor reason with us about what his goals were. A petty tyrant who controls the power of storms and nature ... the world seems better to be rid of him, I would think. Plus, we have no reasonable way to subdue him and take him back as a captive."

![]() |

Anjo seems to nod in agreement with the alchemist,
"Evil is as a man does. He had a choice and he made it. I could not, in good conscious, release this creature back into the wild to terrorize the helpless for whatever crimes he believes they are guilty of."

![]() |

It looks like he's dead, then. Back to the end.
Khan smiles to Milord:
"You like taverns as much as I like the Forest. You came to the forest, I come to the tavern. But how do you eat and drink that much while still being so small?"
