I'm alive but not looking forward to another 3-6 months of isolation. My state just went back into full lockdown because people can't control themselves.

Restuarants in NM were not enforxing masks either were grocery stores.

I'm okay. My state didn't go back to lockdown.

Schools are set to open with online classes in August untol day after Labor Day, then a hybrid model.

It is a mess. Online should be the way to go.

Yeah I am in South East FL so back in heavy lockdown and I teach so Online School is in my future.

This is going to be a mess. They are not giving us time to actually do things and prepare, a week and a half is not enough time, especially when you have 3 or 4 preps (I teach World History, Psychology and Latin I and II this year)

I don't envy that. I teach Chess. Just Chess. I technically have 3 different grade levels (all elementary) so it really is just a matter of how fast we move through the material.

I don't know how they are going to structure our office time but who knows.

Apparently they are going to want teachers on campus even for remote learning. My sxhool is almost 2k srudents with.about 200 faculty.

Got my teaching schedule for the year:

1st: Psychology
2nd: World History
3rd: Psychology
4th World History
5th: English 12 (British Lit)
7th: Latin I and II

I sold my prep for the 5th class because of a hiring freeze that the District has imposed and I have never thought it was fair for students to begin school with a sub.

Yeah Google Classroom works well. We used Zoom last year but they are moving is to Meet now. Meet is not as smooth as Zoom yet and a lot of features that are missing require extensions and so on.

Yes, there is an add on to take attendance but nothing really good to do break outs.
