Hey!
Sorry. Hadn't checked the list in a few days, just saw this. I need to get Grog setup online, have only played him face to face so far, well, the one game I've played him.
When we get our full group I have a Sorcerer 3 as well I could play if that is a better fit for the group.

Looks like all 5 Players have checked in.
@Enchanter Tim: We have 2 Fighters and a Sorcerer so far. Pick what you want.

If you've posted a character, I've added your icon to Slide 2. Click Here or on the "Slides" link atop the page (or in my profile header) and arrange them in marching order.

Flunk Wright, Esq. |

Despite what I'd written in his intro, his last name is obviously Wright, because Phoenix is a much cooler fictional attorney than Harvey. That was a typo.
Anyway, he's a fire sorcerer with all of the usual trimmings you'd expect a fire-obsessed goblin to have. Burn It, Charhide ancestry, etc.

Next Mondaty (8 days from now) Outpost 3 begins and we can get gaming.
Reminder: I will prompt you to make secret checks. If you want to roll secret checks, tell me your bonus and I'll roll for you. If you don't want to make a check, ALSO indicate that so I'm not waiting for your response.
Bottingjf: Please leave a section in your profile about how your character would act if you're afk. Would they make secret rolls? Would they cast cantrips? Would they bludgeon the nearest enemy over the head? I'd like to wait no longer than 36 hours without a response.

Being only my third adventure with Klank, he's only got a few boons:
Envoy's Alliance Reputation boon. I can earn rep with envoy. Free starting boon.
Sand Slide (Reaction) 0/3 Trigger: You would fail (but don't critically fail) a reflex save to avoid a trap's effects; Effect: You Step and then Drop Prone in your new location. You gain a +2 circumstance bonus to your triggering Reflex save. If this would have been enough to resist the trap's effects initially, you succeed at the save instead.
Team Player Reaction: Trigger (Fortune) (0/3); Your time in the Gravelands included many harrowing trials that required you to learn how to work especially well with your companions. An ally fails a check on which you Aided; Effect: The ally can reroll the check and use the better result.
I did also purchase the basic hireling with my Envoy Faction: Gene Stifflestomp. A gnomish errand boy and personal hype man/salesman.

Argoni has the Team Player boon too. That's the only boon he has other than his Envoy's Alliance Champion one.

![]() |

Not many boons here either, given that this is Flunk's second adventure (first was a pregen chronicle).
Faction: Verdant Wheel
Generic: Nexian Researcher

GM chadius |

Alright, everyone. We're starting now. There's a wall of text for you to get through, and then you can mention what secret checks you want me to roll.
Looks like everyone has slotted their boons, but if you want to change boons now is the time.
Overview: You will be exploring a city for about 5 days. To keep things simple we're going from Monday to Friday, and you'll have about 8 hours each day.
This is the first PFS2 game I've GMed, so bear with me. Let's make some waves as we endure the burden of envy.

![]() |

Doing great! So long as you keep rolling high for Klank's medicine checks!

![]() |

It's working well! A little slower waiting for you to have to roll them, but we would have had to wait anyway to know what the effect is.

![]() |

Why does Flitch looks like a version of Superman? Shouldn't he be more of a lowlife?

![]() |

Doing good, GM! Secret rolls change some of the dynamic, but it's how 2e goes.

![]() |

Ya I'd have to agree with Grogg mostly. Hard mission to be a fighter for with all these social skills. Gets hard to figure out an angle to be involved without the skills and the penalty of crit failure.

![]() |

Heh. This is Grog's second run. His first was the initiation. I started him because some friends all played goblins and wanted me to make on to play with them. No one had a champion so I decided to give it a try.
We had a fun GM, a face to face game. There were a few social rolls and Grog was happy to help with his +1. His first roll was a 20 so he thought he should obviously be the group talker... it went downhill fast after that. :)

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

To summarize:
Guaril expect 5 people and 5 sets of payment. He's willing to split the treasure in half with you. Here are the primary 5 and their payment.
Flitch - disguise kit, repair kit, and minor healing potion
Themolin - A collection of artwork worth 65 gp is contained in a number of the crates, intended for payment.
Yuleg - gems and coins valued at 12 gp
Daffrid - gold nodule aeon stone and a scroll of air bubble.
Garrla - aka Astrid Kaliade. +1 full plate, +1 longsword and 20 gp.
Guaril expects to see all five of these. But some of them have complications:
Yuleg - Wants to bring his daughter Vurna
Daffrid - Hopes to have her two kids and husband with her, but she is willing to go alone if necessary
Seddothrum - Large creature weighs about 4 times as much as anyone else. Has no payment.
The ship that arrives on Thursday morning has capacity for 5 people total. Anyone remaining will have to leave with you on Friday through the heavily patrolled docks.

![]() |

So reading through this list (after I've already posted in gameplay of course), do we have any interest in discussing the possibility of Daffrid giving up her spot in the first wave to Vurna? Then we'll be keeping families together, which obviously is a bonus. It also could be an easier sell having a family unit brought through the docks on Friday than two halves of families.
I'm inclined to say Seddothrum can come if he can make his way to the raft launch site on his own (assuming we think it can support him).

![]() |

I didn't realize Vurna didn't have a paying seat. But, I agree, Klank. Ask Daffrid to give up her seat to Vurna and in exchange we try to get her whole family out.

Flunk Wright, Esq. |

I don't think Flunk here agrees, since he'd want to stick to the mission, and Vurna isn't on Guaril's client list, but Daffrid is. The second wave will likely have shenanigans (heavily patrolled, per the GM), so we should probably get the key contacts out unscathed.

![]() |

Daffrid is distraught but holds her composure. "Those are the agreed terms, yes? If you're willing to bring my entire family, then I will wait. Someone else may go in my place."
Vurna exhales. "I can get us to the Shard Cove, no problem. But I want to say hi to Filtch. May be the last time I see him..."
Sounds like you want to bring Yuleg, Themolin, Filtch and Garrla to the ship. Did I get that right?
Yuleg, Vurna, Themolin, Filtch and Garrla is what I suggested. It would be nice to hear some of the other's opinions on deviating from the original plan. I'm certainly fine with keeping the original plan and telling the others we will do what we can. I was just tossing this out as an option.
Klank is LN so he's pretty solid on sticking to the plan but he's also a Dwarf of Torag and family is a big deal.

![]() |

My character is LN but a smuggler.
So, she agrees that the payed one must have priority on the initial plan and the other need to rolled with Plan B.
As it doesn't cost us much to try to take the others with plan B (makeshift boat), I'm ok with that.
If Daffrid choose to go with her family and give her place to another. I don't mind. As long as we have been payed in full.

![]() |

Argoni is willing to go if Flunk doesn't want to. I think 3 of us and 3 passengers are good, though I don't love the idea of splitting the party, even for this short venture. If we think we need athletics checks to paddle the raft, someone else might be better. Argoni is no strength character.

Flunk Wright, Esq. |

Sure, Flunk can stay behind with Klank, no problem.
