@Gm a quick question, are the two towers in the middle connected? Meaning the one that Silas and Aravon climbed and the 60-ft one? I simply wonder if I can minimize the amount of climbing that Aravon needs to do. So clean those two towers and then shoot at other jinsuls from there.

@Aravon; the scenario doesn't mention it so going purely by the map I'd say they are connected. There's the slight issue of the height difference but I'll go with a slope and having the tops connecting to each other (not sure how that works in Starfinder but until I look up/find a rule about I'm going to assume 1,5* distance (e.a. difficult terrain) traveled to compensate)

To inform you;

I've just received a message telling me that Tania's player has gotten ill and won't be expected to be able to post for - let's hope it's only going to last - the next few days.

To not leave you guys short handed during the special I will continue to bot her in during this special.

If I receive more information I'll keep you updated.

There's a bit of time to start another mission. I don't know if any of the repeat players have a mission they haven't seen yet or if someone has a preference

You can:
Go for the landing site
Do a perimeter siege
Repeat taking out controlling devices in the pit (with an adjustment for playing it again which changes things.....dramatically)

I would propose to try another mission: like do a perimeter siege? (no real preference, the siege just resonated better than landing site :P)

Will we have 10 minutes to rest?

Yes, 10 minutes rest can be taken between missions.

Siege looks like it could run fast so let's do that one.

@Qwyn; Not that it matters now that the special has concluded but I did mention that - Cliffs and ridges stand 20 feet high and can be scaled with DC 12 Athletics checks. I'm assuming that's what you wanted to know?

I'll have to admit that even though I said I was going to start on the Chronicles I haven't finished them yet (and was expecting another day before we would end the scenario to be honest). I'll try to get them out tomorrow or this weekend at the latest.

@GM: Yeah, sorry, GM, I see that now...was reading through all the posts and overlooked that upon first readthrough...but you're right, doesn't matter now...

@Revvy - thanks for running this game. I played games with you from when I started playing PBP (exactly on the previous Outpost) and it was a pleasure every time. Good job man. Nice GM'ing, good approach to speed up some parts of the scenario to speed things up.

@Silas - asking out of curiosity, I am almost certain you didn't cast even one spell/used one ability of Whitchwarper, was it intentional? Did you make a drunken bet to pass a scenario using small arms and basic melee? As I said, asking out of curiosity.

I'll admit, I'm with Aravon on that last question. I was a bit curious about Silas only using basic attacks as well.

I use special attack and spells only when there is extreme need for that.

I have to say Revvy, I enjoyed the game. Playing down was definitely a different feel than playing the mid tier. Thanks for GMing.

All, I enjoyed the play and the banter. Hope to see you all at another special. Though once again probably not with Bar...he might be 'retired' after this, as I apparently can't play (or figure out) the best way to play an operative. I have one operative in the wings that will be a non-operative...so maybe that is how I can play them.

Hey mate, I was just wondering. It is your PC and your spell slots ;) If you prefer shooting small arms, by all means, shoot them :D

@Bar - yeah I also struggle with my operative the most, and coincidentally he is also a spy ;) Why don't you change Bar to be an Envoy, in COM there are some cool variations like: Polymorphic Disguise which would fit Bar very nicely.

Just an idea.

Level 2....so I would have to use the mnemonic editor before the sheet is officially applied. It would allow me to reedit level 1 and 2....

But even then...COM's Polymorphic Disguise alternate class feature isn't allowed....it is one I am looking at for a home game though.

Just to check; you do not have the Scoured Stars Veteran boon on this character right?

I think you need to apply the boon yourselves (since it doesn't mention you need to use it right away I guess you could save it? and to be honest I don't know after how much xp everyone lvls and how much bonus credits you would make that way) but I'm happy to write down the bonus fame and reputation and xp on this chronicle if it's easier for you guys if you want to apply it right away (you just need to calculate your bonus credits - if you let me know how much credits that would get you I'll include it on the chronicle)

For people who don't know what the boon does:
(Slotless; Limited-Use): You gain 4 Fame.
Alternatively, if you advanced to 2nd level as a result of the Scoured Stars Veteran boon, you can instead gain 3 XP, 5 Fame, and 5 Reputation for the faction whose champion boon you have slotted. Apply this XP 1 point at a time, each time earning additional credits based on the subtier most appropriate to your level.

As far as I know;

People who have the Scoured Stars Veteran boon (so 1+3xp, 2+5 fame and 2+5 reputation:
Aravon
Bar
Tania

People who don't have the Scoured Stars Veteran boon (so only 1xp, 2+4 fame and 2 reputation):
Silas
Qwyn

1 XP is needed for my character to get to level 3.
So I guess you would apply the credits once from the 1-2 tier, and then 2 times on the 3-4 tier credits.

Hi all. I'm so sorry I was just gone like that and left you all hanging. I was in the hospital on a ventilator...not a lot of fun :(
I got home 2 days ago and am resting but I don't get wifi in my room so this is the first time I've felt good enough to come upstairs and log on.

I hope things in game went okay. I'll catch up reading on the game thread soonish.

No worries Tania. If it was COVID, you are the 5th person I know who has had it, and the 3rd I know that had it bad enough to get hospitalized (and one had bronchitis also to boot so that was like 14 days in ICU if I remember right), so again no worries.
