Hey Folks, looking forward to playing with you all, I know or have played with some of you which is always good.
The scenario has a starship tag and at a certain point, we would have to select the roles for us ;)
3 operatives, Whitchwarper, soldier and a Mystic. Almost all of us lvl 2 beside Eralyn with lvl 1.

| Baurquathus |

Best would be pilot (though probably not as good as Qwyn) at +9.
Then either Engineer or Science officer (+6 each).
Finally Gunner at +4.

Eralyn would be a decent Engineer (+6), Science Officer (+5), or Chief Mate (+5). I can also be a gunner, but I imagine there's better ones on the team (+4).
I'll happily fill whichever role is vacant after the others choose, and will likely hop around when needed.

            Welcome everyone,
Good use of being proactive and working out Starship roles before hand. It would also be nice if you could decide on what Starship to take. You always have the choice of a Pegasus or a Drake, but if someone has a boon to bring another ship that's also an option.
To give you even more homework / prep work. The following boons are being called out as (possibly) being of use during this scenario so you might want to check your stack of chronicles to see if it includes any of them while you decide what to slot.
(I've included the possibly myself since this like the previous special gives you X options to choose from divided over Y parts and some of the boons only do something at a specific option so it might never come into play depending on what you choose to do. And a few of them don't stack so there isn't much use for multiple people to slot the same one)
First Skirmish (Social or Starship): This boon can be found in Starfinder Society Scenario #1–13: On the Trail of History.
High Society Influence (Iteration-177, Ally) This boon can be found in Starfinder Society Scenario #1–05: The First Mandate.
Honorbound Allies (Starship): This boon can be found in Starfinder Society Scenario #1–04: Cries from the Drift.
Iteration-177’s Attention (Ally): This boon can be found in Starfinder Society Scenario #1–11: In Pursuit of the Scoured Past.
(and multiple people could take this for a bonus)
Jinsul Witness (Personal): This boon can be found in Starfinder Society Scenario #1–34: Heart of the Foe.
(I'll have to admit..I haven't found what this one does specifically in the scenario so it will depend on the wording on the boon if this is useful to have for multiple people..turns out this is from a scenario I never played myself so no clue what it does. It's also from a lvl 3-6 scenario and although someone could in theory bring a lvl 3 I don't think anyone here is above lvl 2, so most likely won't matter)
Surviving Companion (Slotless): This boon can be found in Starfinder Society Scenario #1–23: Return to Sender.
(and multiple people could take this for a bonus)

Hey Revvy! Great to be at your table! (bringing some enthusiasm in those weird days ;) )
With regards to boons, I have none of the listed on this PC :( High Society Influence and Honorboud Allies I have on my mechanic.
With regards to starship combat: Croaker can be Magic Officer (+8), a decent gunner (+5 - but only on 1 weapon) and +4 on others, bad engineer (+4) and a lying captain (bluff +7, diplomacy +6) ;)
For starship, I have Mystical Guidance Systems Upgrade which allows me to upgrade one starship weapon to be a hybrid weapon. This allows you to shoot using Wisdom Modifier + Mysticism LVL instead of Dex + BAB/Piloting lvl. Applied to turret allows Croaker to shot from any angle with +5. His Dex+BAB=4 so only 1 point lower
Alternatively, I have Star Monster Slayer that gives me +2 to any skill check against living starship and to others, it gives +1. However, I have no idea if there will be space creatures.

It's a copy of the slides all the GM's got (yeah...less prep for me).
But I think I've covered all the things you're not supposed to look at yet so you can try again.
Also, feel free to fill in slide 2 to see if you also have editing rights so you can move your own character around on the maps later.

            Hi all!
A friend of mine who is a VO suggested I play this character in the special because she played #1-99 which got her to level 2,
I have the "defender of the fleet" starship boon that can enhance our engines (basically +2 to speed), computers (either +1 from every node or one extra node) or weapons (reroll all 1s on damage but have to take the 2nd roll)!
I don't have any of the other boons listed.
For starship combat options:
Captain: Bluff +11, Diplomacy +5, Intimidate +8
Engineer: Engineering +5
Science: Computers +5
Pilot: Piloting +9 (1 rank)
Gunner: Gunnery +5
Chief Mate: Acrobatics +10, Athletics +5
If we know we'll be doing lots of fighting I'd say Drake, especially since my boon can give it a +2 to speed right off the bat!

Like I said, I can be captain.
Captain: Bluff +8, Diplomacy +9, Intimidate +8
Engineer: Engineering -
Science: Computers -
Pilot: Piloting +1
Gunner: Gunnery +2

Tania, yeah, if you have a character that is a Scoured Star Survivor...good idea to play them. Baurquathus (usually runs around being called Ticcus in his human guise) is one.
Looks like Qwyn definitely should be the pilot.
Silas the Captain (because of limited skill set :-) )
Eralyn the Engineer
Baurquathus the Science officer
Tania and Croaker Gunners (maybe one or the other switching off to do Chief Mate (Tania) or Magic Officer (Croaker))
With backup gunner probably myself, if we need to have Tania or Croaker go off to their action, I jump off Science officer to man a gun that round?
And honestly....knowing that this is our return to the Scoured Stars, dealing with ships....Drake is the best combat one.

I like that Baurquathus. Gives us flexibility depending on how we're looking! I haven't gotten to play since chief mate became sfs legal so it'll be interesting to see how well it runs!
I'm also curious on what benefit the scoured stars survivor gives but I guess I'll find out if I survive! ;)

Bar asking out of curiosity, as my other PC played 1-99 and I know that Scoured Star Survivor you can pass to any other PC and it is different than Scoured Star Veteran (A PC starting at lvl 2 as a survivor). I decided to put Croaker here as it seemed like a better fit for the team.
Is it simply cool form the RP standpoint to have PC with Scoured Star Survivor? Or will the ones with the boon get Magical Scepter +12 vs Jinsul Gods ;)
So to simplify my question should I swap my PC's to have the ones that I played 1-99 with or the Survivor one here?

I have played this scenario...at a much higher tier.
Let's just say that if you don't play with your Scoured Star Veteran (be it a rescued survivor, or field experience) you can play with them in a different tier later. This is replayable, but only in a different tier you haven't played it in....umm... I think it breaks down to. 1 to 4, 5-8, and 9- 12...so 3 times.

Thanks Bar! I knew about the repeatable thingy.
I doubt I will get my veteran to lvl 5 before I have the next opportunity to play this scenario.
So I listed actions that I need to take to swap Croaker out and to find a new game for him and it would be too troublesome to couple of tables. So, all in all, I will stick to Croaker for this game.

Do I understand correctly that if I create my 2nd lvl PC as a result of 1-99 boon I don't get the remaining boons from that Chronicle?
Meaning my Solarian - Vecro played 1-99 and got rewards including 2 boons (one of which is defender of the fleet)
As a result of last boon I created lvl 2 PC Aravon.
Now who has the defender of the fleet boon? Vecro? Aravon? Both :D ?

I am almost certain that Vecro has the 2 boons. For the creation of the Scoured Star Survivor, you should write what his number is on Vecro's chronicle sheet next to that boon (so maybe Aravon is your -708 character, that should be written next to Scoured Star Survivor), and then a copy made to be Aravon's Chronicle sheet Zero (along with any other Chronicle Sheet Zero's like racial boons). Aravon ONLY gets the stuff from the Scoured Star Survivor.
Make sense?

There are a few aid tokens available for tables during this special. When you use it it will get passed on to the next table, so don't try to hold on to it till when you need it so more people can use it. If you don't have one, but think you realy, realy need it right now shout out and I'll ask the other GM's if someone has one to send your way.
I'll post an aid token on the slides so you can see what options you have.

Bar is a Rescued Survivor (have it as Sheet 0, along with race boon).
I also mentioned this before, but I have played the midlevel of this special. So don't assume I will make any critical decisions.

I love the Star Monster Slayer...though I have yet to see it come in handy. I so want to fight another starship sized monster.
Solar Powered Weapons I think gives +1(?) to laser weapons (or maybe just one laser weapon)....I can't remember. It might be a decent one if we take a ship with lasers.

It's always a small bonus in starship combat, the other one is only useful against very specific enemies...which I think I've seen one of so far, and that's where you earn the boon from

GM I'm probably only going to be able to post ~ once a day. If that's going to be a problem I'll understand if the pace of the game means I maybe shouldn't be playing.
All though this is slightly faster pace then most other games due to this being a special with a time constrained - and there's an overall schedule which each table needs to stick to - I don't expect 1 post a day to be a big problem. One or two posts a day are pretty much the norm. To be honest I don't expect I can post more then once or twice a day myself most days. I just had some extra time yesterday and so did some other people so it might look a bit rushed.
If everyone posts more/faster it does mean that you'll most likely get to do more encounters but that's the same as in real life. Fast tables get to do a bit more. And time zones matter a lot in this case as well. If your GM is for example 8-12 hours ahead of you it's going to be a tad difficult to respond quickly.

            I haven't explained what the fleet rules do yet;
Each fleet provides air support for its allies in its location, perpetually granting them either covering fire for combat encounters or a +2 bonus to gunnery checks in locations with starship combat encounters. Due to their familiarity with jinsul starships, any PC with the First Skirmish boon slotted as a Social boon ignores any covering fire benefit granted to enemies by the jinsul fleet. PCs in the Starfinder fleet’s location can automatically boost and pass an Aid Token without consuming any resources or needing to succeed on a check. Alternatively, if they use an unboosted Aid Token in the Starfinder fleet’s location for any benefit that does not require a boost to use, they still gain the boosted effect. PCs in the location occupied by the jinsul fleet must overcome additional challenges detailed in the encounter’s description as the jinsul army converges on the location.
Currently neither fleet is at your location (Agillae-2) and they move around based on the total successes all tables in the special gather together.
