Am I the only one besides the soldiers proficient in longarms and heavy weapons? I can use the corona rifle but I already took the grenade launcher and don't wanna be greedy.

Since the corona rifle's a longarm not a heavy weapon, I'll volunteer - it's not a significant damage boost, but Holy sounds relevant for this adventure :-)

Hi all.

The beauty of PbP and other online gaming mediums is that we can play from all around the world from the comfort of our computers. Which is real benefit now, as more and more locations across the globe are shutting down events to try and slow the current COVID pandemic.

I just want to reach out to hope that each of you is secure and all right during this current situation. My own city (Boston) just instituted increased security parameters around public spaces and business, and other cities have done or likely will do the same. I am not anticipating any disruptions to this game (again, the beauty of online gaming), but I hope that all of you are safe and are taking the necessary precautions.

This is kind a side thing, but I find a lot of Envoy abilities are really weird to describe in play by post. I like the way Inspired Boost works mechanically, but what is Moxie actually doing during that standard action?

I think you're doing a good job. When I play my full envoy, I basically just am cheering a person on.

Inspiring Boost is definitely an especially odd one. I think you flavored it fine: to me it's a burst of encouragement that gets them to minimize the damage and fight through it rather then get their energy sapped by the hit (it is recovering Stamina after all).

But I've seen other people shout out quick medical pathcing advice, and one do a weird mesmerism slant to it - "What are you talking about? That wasn't a fireball! Your armor got burned cooking this morning, don't you remember?"

I think it helps if you think of stamina points as fighting spirit or something.

I think there was a mixup here with the grenades. The launcher was loaded with mk 2 frag grenades and I thought I was holding onto the incendiary ones. I also noticed those incendiary grenades that we're with that launcher were actually mk 3 incendiary, so higher level and damage.

Sorry, I missed you asking to take the incendiary from the launcher. Then I would have shot one of the frags, I guess - which is still 2d6, but will get absorbed up by DR. Okay, back to hacking it is.

2 MK 2 serums of healing I'd buy.
Looks like I didn't even get a chance to use my MK 1 serum of healing judging by my ending HP according to the DM of 11 instead of 18, but if he was blinded when the boss died, he might not have known. Just trying to be honest and fair in SFS. Want to be sure before I mark and/or not mark it off.

Eselar did some healing, and I still have an ally boon that can grant an extra Mystic Cure, so I don't think there's a reason for you to use your healing serum.

Appreciate the fairness. The way initiative went, the moonflower would have been felled before our turn was up - you can save the serum.

Also: there is starship combat in pt 2. Now may be a good time to discuss which starship roles each of you would default to taking.

I just starting putttng ranks in Piloting after boosting INT at level 5. Character lore wise, I like to say she wasn't allowed to drive or pilot an aircraft due to some legal charges a few years back. This will be the second time I've piloted in a scenario although I have plenty of experience from GMing!
