I upgraded my cold-iron weapon to +1 and bought a cloak of resistance +1.
I have 671 gold left. Open to suggestions for purchases if something else I'm missing makes sense.

GM TOP |

Prolly save it so you can likely afford a 2k purchase after the next session. I think rewards for a 4-5 tier are usually around 1500.

Will be updating things tonight, but I'm in.

I know my wife has been crushed with stuff lately and LGZ has been sick. Dimple has posted recently so I'm assuming she is GTG.
Kasvot? Merisal? Got any updates?
I'm not really planning on pushing anything till Monday, but would like to get everyone at least checked in before then.

![]() |

I am working toward a CORE mystic thurge myself. About to hit level 5, so still a rough slog.

![]() |

Sorry all, I stopped getting updates on this game, so was completely unaware of all the Sevenfingers planning going on. I'm in!
However, I haven't applied chronicles yet. I'll work on that ASAP, but I have one other PC who needs a chronicle that's in line before Kasvot; it will take me a couple of days at least. I should be ready by Monday, though!

Sounds good, whoever you want to bring!
I would probably base my decision on who would annoy Dimple the most though, just to create some fun RP. ;)

Good to see you Kasvot! I think at the pace we are moving that next monday will pass well before we get into anything other than the briefing.

So long as LGZ is in line of sight, what could be possibly be wrong...or annoying?

So ideally, someone who creates a lot of fog effects that make it hard to see LGZ. Maybe someone who casts Vanish or Invisibility on him constantly? :P

Well now, that's just mean. How is a girl supposed to avail herself if she can't see her hubba hubba man?

Would you like me to add you to the Resources Used section on slides page 2 using that Mage Armor Wand?

![]() |

Yup just trying to see if I have bought a new clw wand or whether I need to grab a new one
(note he likes to claim to be a full elf despite his human features but that bow and sword he carries are just for show)
Also My domain spells are obscuring mist and fog cloud (sorry dimple)
First leaves is the name he gives to his spell book As i do have a wand of mage armour I will swap my mage armour spell for a summon monster 1

Swapped my +1 Ranseur for a MWK Adamantine Ranseur instead. Hopefully be able to upgrade one of them after this session

So some good news, Kasvot pointed out a word on the bonus chronicles. After some digging I have come to the conclusion that the Paizo writer for that chronicle made it a lot more complicated than it needed to be and I missed their intent.
Anyway, long story short, you all will be getting a new bonus chronicle sheet. No major changes other than you now get access to the boons and items on that sheet. The item is the Antiquarian's Monocle and the boons are copied below.
▫ ▫ ▫ Friends in Saringallow: You rescued both Nolaria Wintren and Nixa Volsetti from Wormgnash’s minions. The cousins decide to provide you with assistance on your future adventures. Using any of these favors requires your spending the time or actions to perform the task yourself. You may use the favors listed below in any combination, checking off a box each time you ask for help. When you check the last box, Nolaria and Nixa return to Saringallow; cross this boon off your Chronicle sheet.
• Ask Nixa to share her expertise (Knowledge [planes] +5)
• Ask Nolaria to share her wisdom (Heal +6 or Survival +6)
• Ask Nolaria to cast bless (CL 3rd, concentration +5)
• Ask Nolaria to cast cure light wounds (CL 3rd, concentration +5)
• Ask Nixa to make a full attack against one of your foes. Melee mwk longsword +4 (1d8+3/19–20), light
shield +3 (1d3+3)
Pushing Back the Abyss: You stopped Wormgnash’s plots, and, with the help of the town guard, eradicated the last traces of demon bile from Saringallow. Your experiences in Saringallow have taught you to recognize signs of demonic influence. You gain a +2 circumstance bonus on Knowledge (planes) checks concerning demons, and may attempt such checks as though you were trained in the skill. This bonus does not stack with the benefits provided by tools like pathfinder Chronicles.

GM TOP |

I'm sorta impressed. For having four arcane casters in the group of five, there is very little overlap between you all.
I should have those corrected chronicles out to you all today but again, you really don't change anything except gain the boons above and get access to the Antiquarian's Monocle. If that item fits into your character's plans you are welcome to retcon any purchases you may have made between the last session and this one until we really get cranking along in this scenario.

Hey, I nearly forgot. Under the Temple of Erastil Book on the 'A Foul Breed' chronicle sheet also stated that The give you a wand of CLW with 3 charges. It goes on to say "The wand gains 3 charges each time you apply an additional Gallows of Madness Chronicle sheet to this character. So, by applying Book 2, 3 and the BONUS sheet, that wand is now at 12 charges. Woohoo!!

![]() |

Oops
Back to fromagalli and burning a star replay as I played this one in core with Arboreal already he may be buying a handy haversack before travelling to the gloomspire

GM TOP |

Yeah, those chronicles have some really nice stuff and some of it scales up if you do all of them so... check your chronicles people!

Understood Fromagalli, go ahead and post your character info. We'll have to wait a session or so to see Arboreal I expect. Sure you don't want to bring your paladin for this one since I know Fromagalli wasn't clicking for you?

GM TOP |

Alrighty then, your corrected chronicles may be found here. Enjoy the boons and thanks for asking about that Kasvot!
I'll be bumping us along soon.

I leave tomorrow for a weekend trip to NYC. I'll be out of contact from early Friday through late Monday, EST; please bot Kasvot if necessary.

Thanks for the update, will do!
You might want to double check your botting instructions, which are excellent but may be outdated. I don't know if there are any changes to the stuff you prioritize doing but the preformatted rolls need updated. Also, you don't have to leave brackets off when putting rolls into your profile since it isn't an actual thread. Take a look at Niza or LGZ's profile, they have all their skills and most of their combat rolls preformatted (which really helps me if I need to do a bot).

![]() |

Dimple, are you a masseuse??? This made me think of you. Haha!

![]() |

Amazing! I love it.

GM TOP |

"It was a trap! What's with the evil eye all of a sudden?!? Did you all suddenly turn into witches? Well, you can't; witches don't exist."
Loved this!

![]() |

Part of my concern is the size of BIG LGZ compared to the doorway. If he has to squeeze through, it might slow him down to where he gets caught and dog-piled. They're undead, shouldn't take too much to bring them to us.

GM TOP |

You all should be fine regarding getting back into position (you'll see why in a bit). That said, who is planning on plugging the hole and will they be in the hallway or at the end of the hallway?
The person plugging the hole will have the best chance to hit the enemies, but will also likely soak most of the attacks.
Being at the end of the hallway would allow multiple players in melee range to hit the enemies but would technically allow the enemy to try to attack any of those players in range.
I could see it working either way, just wondering. Technically Niza is the best Armored by far and most of her stuff requires melee range. LGZ currently appears to be a poor option since he can't use his big weapon in melee range. Fromagalli is pretty easy to hit, but does have blur and would be immune to the paralysis.
Niza does have a shield spell available that would make it quite difficult to hit her, but I don't know what other abilities the rest of you have that might effect the decision.

![]() |

I wouldn't plug the hole; I would leave the first square (where Fromagalli currently stands) open for them to enter our room, with attackers on all three open sides. Kasvot will be attacking from range with positive energy rays, so can be farther back from that.
Maybe LGZ takes the southern position, with Niza and Fromagalli in flank on both sides. That lets LGZ make reach attacks on the 2nd undead in line (1st still in the hallway) while Niza and Fromagalli take on the lead undead. Dimple can bounce around and heal-stick whomever needs it the most.

GM TOP |

That is a third option for setup, good thought. The downside being that the enemies can move past a lot easier via the open diagonals, assuming they are willing to soak 1-2 AoO's.

GM TOP |

Neither Festrogs nor Ghouls are mindless. But... they will likely provoke a bit to swarm in and eat you all, depending on the final setup you all have.
I will allow you all to adjust the layout of your pieces a bit since you are planning the trap. So to make sure everyone is where they should be, please decide on a setup and be descriptive of where everyone will be standing for it.
I say this because currently Kasvot and Dimple are on the front line and LGZ isn't helping to block anything.

![]() |

Mindless undead being willing to soak some AoOs should be to our advantage... I hope!
What should be to our advantage and what actually is to our advantage may not be the same thing I fear

GM TOP |

Flu is beating me up, might be a day or two more before I get back to regular posting. It looks like Dimple has healed everyone mostly up. Go ahead and do any RP related to fight and let me know if you all wish to attempt to destroy the necrotic polyp.

GM TOP |

I'm back, yay! That was a looooong difficult fight vs. those buggers. Could have gone really bad there a couple times. Good job perservering.

GM TOP |

IRL Update
I'm working from home with minimal change to workload, so I'm one of the lucky ones.
Niza has extra work with an extra kiddo home, but posting shouldn't be affected too much.
I know LGZ is being flooded with more than usual work due to his job field.
How is everyone else doing physically and mentally? Do we need to put the game on hold or just keep plunking away at a slow pace? I'm fine with whatever.

![]() |

With the school closures, I don't have anything new to plan or grade, so I am good to keep going right now.

![]() |

Personally, I doubt we can successfully convince this thing to play nice...but I'm amused by the attempt.

![]() |

With face to face gaming out of the question I will be keen to continue. Physically ok for now

Have you never met Dimple? How can anyone say "NO" to her? Well, okay, there was Grumpy, and all the goblins, and the BIG hobgoblinny guy. But other than that, she's adorable. Who would want to turn her down?

GM TOP |

I'd be surprised if you all took very long with this fight, so I've started working on Chronicles already. It appears that Kasvot and Fromgalli never filled out their intro information, but I was able to find most of that stuff on the prior chronicle. That said, I will need a dayjob roll from Fromagalli. Thanks!

![]() |

Fromagalli is going to take the opportunity to help Dimple rather than turn out a trashy sculpture
perform aid?: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (12) - 1 = 11
Also will spend some PP on a restoration for the drain 2pp I believe should cover that
(not entirely sure you can aid a day job roll 32 or 34 is same result anyway and is done for flavour more than anything. This most likely is Fromagallis final adventure and he will have planty of time to sculpt come retirement)

GM TOP |

Chronicles are up! Take a look, let me know if anything is wonky.
So... what do we do next? I have another scenario in this chain lined up (no prep done though) but it is also a tier 3-7. You all would fall flatly into the middle of that which isn't ideal (risky to play up, super boring to play down). So I'd rather wait till everyone is lvl 6, which would require a 3XP module or 2 scenarios.
We'll start with this question, any volunteers to run something?

![]() |

I have a module for level 5 characters I could run if you guys were interested.
Dawn of the Scarlet Sun is based in Magnimar.
I would caution you, while it's a short module, it's a bit of a rough one. Interested?
Edit: Doing some research - this only grants 1 xp due to being a shorter module instead of 3 from the standard 32pg ones
