Did we get a scale from "Monarch"?

Yes, a few shed scales were given to you all.

I can't say I like the Monarch, but it may be on the level. It certainly is an elemental spirit, and this is a place where such a one might reside on the material world. As for these cultists - we'll have to see what they make of it. Maybe they'll take their chances, become the servants that the Monarch desires.

The cultists take the scale and look it over. They seem to be able to identify it as a dragon scale and mutter a bit, "well this changes... I'm not sure."

The apparent leader bows down and hands over the scale and a package secured to a small floating platform, "We need to tell our leaders of this new development. Please accept these gifts intended for the Deluged God as gifts for the servants of the Tempest Monarch and thanks for the new information. We must go now, thank you again."

The Monarch did not give us a specific time in which to complete our task did it? I believe we are free to return to the Venture Captain. And I suspect our Monarch would be displeased if we returned without the desired scroll."
