I figured I should have run, but Raseri has a bit of a chip on her shoulder at the moment. She isn't about to back down unless she doesn't have much of a choice.

Carn, sitting here thinking about it I believe Lexi went down the night before in relation to your kitchen scene with Kjeta. So, you might have information from that venture that she shared with you such as: its below the well (location 23) near the changeling court and links up with the goblin court below the palace. its guarded by a vicious arctic predator; her observations and deductions.

Ah good. Anything would be great. Maybe she might want to guide us.

Indeed, I was imagining getting the party together for a bit of a dungeon romp down there.

The clerics can Locate Object on the part of the dragon hoard that Carn gave Scutarius.

After her harrowing journey to the morgue, Lexi returned with both the tape and the information she had gleaned from the dead bodies. Getting everyone together, she explained what had happend (omitting the part about the goblin turning into a human child).

House projects distracting me a bit from boards this weekend... O_o

If a cleric wishes to cast those spells they may of course.

The memory gears however require another gearforged to read. Lexi observed that Deimus' soul gem was missing, questioning even if he is truly dead. Destroying a gearforged's soul gem is the only way to kill one, as Zobeckers understand.

To remind us the rules of the festival, no armor, but weapons are fine. Or at least one sword?

Helmet is your call (they're all gonna laugh at you). Weapons are fine, but they must be peacebonded. Meaning a knot binding a weapon to its sheath such that the only way to draw the weapon is to cut the tie.

Or you could be a sneaky b#+#~ and try to sneak something in.

Lexi is going to wear her rapier peacebonded, but will stow all her knives on her person.

As an Eldritch Knight, Hrungnir can summon his weapon and shield, so there is no need for him to have them on his person. It’s more effective than being peacebond if things go south.

Would it be appropriate to consider Hrungnir’s clothing to count as padded armor? Given that he went with a Dwarven design, I’d imagine that it would be thick. That, and it would bring his AC up to...10! 12 if he summons his shield.

Re scrying from the puzzle, did we determine there's nothing more we can do to locate them or intervene? Any useful rolls from Hrungnir for that encounter? K would love to try to find them!

I'll also roll the LOL ritual, and Hrungnir certainly should too! (He's got a MUCH better shot at it.)

Kjeta, there was a viewfinder scene just before Raseri's massive post. But you know they are out there somewhere and trying to escape, if only you could find this second dark labyrinth.

No worries. And while I love amazing posts, don't feel like you have to every time...its tough to sustain that level of output for long. Just one little 2 or 3 sentence meh thing each day is fine to keep me happy/going.

Sweet, settling in for some writing now. Body insanely sore from walking 5 miles/getting sunburned.

ow... Sunburns suck. Hope it wasn't too bad.

Will know in a few days, but already pretty red. That's what I get for staying inside 5 months straight and not exercising like ever. ;) Feels kind of good though, like summer. Was too gorgeous outside to let it get away today.

Was supposed to be a little reward for remembering that clue from previous info gatherings. Are you saying you sat there and did nothing while the first 2 soups were eaten, then once the last was consumed you decided to eat all 3?

No. What I tried to write was if the majority of the table picked A, then Carn would have picked A. He tried to do the same as everyone. So, if the table picked every soup he’d go along too.

There was no clear preference at first, they just started eating. If you want to eat all fine. Drinks next.

I like the thought of a way to reward remembering clues we've received (and I certainly received that one). I'll note though that it wasn't clear to me that it was even an *option* to get all three. since the menu says,

1st Course: Bells, Flakes, and Sparks

Choice of Bell Soup, Snowflake Soup, or Sparkling Goblin Stew

Now, it seems EMINENTLY reasonable that Kjeta would misunderstand the choice that was being given to her (given the many cultural differences)...but I wonder if Kolya, there beside her as her date, would have let her know that she could (and should) choose to accept all three.

(If he *had* explained, she'd still have probably tried to find out if there was *actual* Goblin in there. She'd lose status in a heartbeat if the alternative was cannibalism.)

Also totally happy to just move on as things are. You continue to impress me as a DM and I don't want to get snagged on a detail.

If you guys don't like the soup thing we can ignore it, I really don't care. It was built in to the module like that from Kobold Press, not a GM Infinity thing. I didn't think to give a rats ass about it honestly.
