Satu Varis |

Someone trying to make fun of us? Satu growls between her teeth.
What is it with haunted girls in this forest? Either we go or we ignore it. I don't like being made fun of though. Not one bit.

Satu Varis |

Don't know. We should go on. Every minute we stand around here is wasted.
Satu shrugs and then turns to proceed through the valley.

GM Nayr |

You proceed into the valley, each of you on edge and being cautious in your own way. The sounds drift away and the valley grows silent, until....at about half way through the valley, a large whirlwind of white snow appears at the end. In a very, unnaturally controlled manner, it advances upon you!
To clarify, the whirlwhind is only about 5 feet diameter at the base, but widens to about 15-20 feet.
Cnut: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Garrasay: 1d20 ⇒ 17
Mordred: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
Kishai: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Whirlwind: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
Another player?: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
What another player?: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

GM Nayr |

Before anyone can react, a small, winged creature appears atop the rocks to the southwest. It instantly fires out 3 missiles of force, which launch out and slam into Mordred.
Magic missile: 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (3, 3, 1) + 3 = 10
A moment after that, another small creature appears...small, but not flying...from this distance it's hard for you to make out what it is to the north. It scrambles down the rocky slope toward you.

Garrasay |

"GrrraAaaaH!" Garrasay shouted in frustration. Knowing that it was likely an ambush didn't make being ambushed any more pleasant. Petal quickly retreated into the relative safety of Garrasay's pack as the gnoll pushed forward through the snow.
Having learned his lesson from the encounter with the weasel, he quickly summoned forth his magical shield and prepared his flail.
Cast shield (AC20), quickdraw flail, move forward (what are the movement penalties in this area?)

Kishai |

Officially back from all the craziness. I see I'm not up in initiative yet so will wait to post but wanted to let you know I have finally returned.

GM Nayr |

Mordred curses in pain and growls in frustration, seeing another of these vile flying creatures hovering up high. He knows that he can't reach the creature, and so moves to the north, pulling one of his cold iron throwing axes on the way. He readies himself to hurl it at the creature scrabbling down the slope towards them, should it get into range.
Cnut and Garrasay move and spread out into the valley; confronted by multiple enemies at many angles, they try and figure on which to focus.
The whirlwind suddenly condenses down into a vaguely humanoid shape and flies in with incredible speed to attempt to slam Garrasay with the force of the very air around him.
Slam: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

The flier to the south moves down above the rocky cliff, to hover above you. Hover: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15 You can see it a bit closer now, and the small creature looks like a blue skinned hag with evil yellow eyes. I cackles and waves its hands in an incantation. Immediately, Garrasay and Mordred feel their armor grow cold.
Will save DC14 - either from your armor or you...whichever is greater.
The creature to the north scrabbles down the slope, seeming to half run...though on all fours, and half float as it skims the cliff face down.
