While switching out runes Omari is going to pick up a longsword to put their rune on. The longsword works better with the Magus stuff. If I ever get a staff with true strike I'll switch it back. =D
Assuming a magus could use a staff with true strike - there’s some confusion on that point in the current rules.
Alright folks, I'm in a serious period of burnout thanks to RL stressors.
Normally I push games through Christmas at reduced posting rate but I am going to place all of my games on hiatus until January. We're making good progress and I hate to do this but APs are years-long commitments and part of doing these successfully is recognizing when I'm at burnout risk and taking appropriate breaks.
So with that said, I'm going to cease all postings until the week of January 3rd. I will PM you all when the game gets going again.
Thanks for sticking with me, I love this group and I'm not going anywhere. I just REALLY need a serious break from even small obligations like my PbP games.

While I know we're on hiatus, I thought I'd share that there are two new classes for playtesting coming January 5th.

Current speculation is Gunslinger and some kind of Tactician/Warlord class, with hopes for Inquisitor, Kineticist, and Occultist thrown in.
EDIT: Oh, also hopes for Arcanist and Shaman, although I'm not sure how you do Arcanist in PF2, given that their spellcasting style can be covered by an Arcane Sorcerer with the feat that gives them a spellbook and their Exploits can just be new Sorcerer/Wizard feats.
I would think any of the hybrid classes would be less necessary in the new system, but I don't have time or inclination to really dig in. I've pretty much given up on the general discussion threads, to be honest, for that reason.
I do recall that the Gunslinger is awaiting rules for their weapons, so that makes it sound like it is something in the works. I don't know what a tactictian/warlord class would be that couldn't be done with a warrior bard. But - like I said, I have only spent enough time on this thought to write it down - there are probably many factors that I'm glossing over.

The Inventor gives options for special armor, construct companion (like an animal companion), and special weapons.
The Gunslinger, interestingly, gets Legendary proficiency in firearms and crossbows, as well as Perception.
Okay a new class is cooler than a retread, inventor looks pretty sick and Gunslinger looks fun.
Hahaha. Well nobody -uses- them in PBp which is a problem I've run into. In RL sessions they are burned and given away constantly.
Everyone has one hero point for either a reroll or cheat death. If I find people are using them, I'll start giving them.
Raff pushes into the southern tunnel.
The gloom and tunnels snaking away from each end of this open cvern make it seem like merely a corridor rather than a proper chamber. Thick sheets of spiderwebs hang from the northern wall.
Nothing seems to jump out at you; the spiderwebs loom ominously on the north wall. Otherwise the cavern continues on.
Bon Mot will hopefully soften up the barghest's Will save for Omari's fear spell.
Hey everyone. So the week of hell seems abated and I guess it's time to come clean.
I'm gonna hang up my GM hate here on the paizo forums and discontinue the play by post games I'm in including this one. I start APs with the intention of finishing and I just hate stringing the group along with "well maybe this week I'll have the time to do it". It's not fair to everyone and when I took over this game it was to owe everyone five more yeras of running it. I just can't commit to that now thanks to duties with my union that will likely continue for a few more years at least.
Thanks so much for playing such colourful wonderful characters. It's been a blast but I'm done with the game here. If you would like someone to take it over, just lemme know and I'll pass over the keys.

Me too. I would offer to carry it forward, but the way my time has been, I can't even make a reasonable attempt to search for a replacement game to play in, let alone commit to running one.
