I see Varook's name on the wolf fang talisman, so I zeroed it out.
Raff's name is on the silver morningstar, cleared.
Lenna has picked up the bottled lightning, tanglefoot bag, and holy waters. If anyone wants to carry any of these, just let me know.
Does anyone's weapon have a cool critical effect they want to see happen? It sounds like you can enable the owlbear talisman when you have a critical, so you don't have to worry about wasting it. For the longbow, I would pin the target to a nearby surface. There might be more desirable effects.
No one has picked up the silver dagger or the silver longsword. There's also a lesser antidote and a lesser antiplague available. I'm carrying some similar items already, but I could carry these if no one else wants to.
GM SpiderBeard
I'll give it another day to resolve all of the loot.
If nobody wants the silver longsword and dagger that goes into general revenue.
You guys have 33 silver, 8 copper each -regardless- of who picks what. So keep in mind you have that for all shopping needs.
If the silver weapoins are sold that'll give you another 8 silver or so each.

Hey guys, sorry for the absence. FYI this month is going to be INSANE for me. I may have some spotty posting and have a stupidly heavy game load because I got excited about PF2 lol. So bear with please!
Aramil Wellys
I'm just gonna say that I feel like I have so many more options on my turn as a bard than I did in previous editions. I also have a meaningful reaction that makes sense. It's different, yet nice.
GM SpiderBeard
Hey guys so as the world goes into pandemic mode I don't ANTICIPATE disruption to my games. I'm working from home starting immediately. However I understand this may mean some life disruptions to players so if posting rates relax we'll just work with it.

Hey, I feel like I'm way overdue to say this. I know a lot of people that I share a virtual table with are involved in the healthcare industry.
This is to all the doctors, nurses, technicians, eldercare specialists, all of those folks that spend their lives caring for the health of their fellow man.
Thank you. You need to hear this more often, but in this time of world-wide crisis more than ever, I want to say thank you.
And please, please take care of yourselves.
GM SpiderBeard
Hey guys, sorry for the spotty posting. My routine is messed up and things are weird. As a result I'm going to put the games I'm running on temporary hiatus for two weeks, resuming April 6th.
Hope you're all doing well. Sorry for taking this break but I'd prefer to run these properly and ensure I've got everything in place to commit to regular posting.
GM SpiderBeard
Yeah. I'm at home all the time but I don't have the brainspace for the games. Short breaks like this (considering we're in at this for a while) help me refresh and come back enthusiastic.
GM SpiderBeard
You too! I'm in Alberta in Canada and I think we're not going to get hammered like many other parts of the world and for that I am extremely grateful.
GM SpiderBeard
Hey Varook! Athabasca, so north but not nearly as far. My wife's family is from Mennonite stock up in Peace.
No confirmed cases here -yet- but with all of this it's only a matter of time.
And I'm back! Let'sg et this show on the road.
Aramil Wellys
I just discovered I've been using Counterperformance wrong - it's a focus power reaction, not just a reaction.
Going forward we will have to remember that.
GM SpiderBeard
Ah hah, thanks. Something for me to remember in my in-person age of ashes game as well, which also has a bard.

@Lenna
I can 100% promise that terrain expertise forest will be SUPER useful in the next chapter.
As for quiet allies, the way it works is that if you follow the expert, everyone gets to add their level as their proficiency bonus but everyone still rolls. If everyone rolls stealth, your odds of oneperson failing are very high.
Quiet allies lets the one person with the lowest check roll stealth for the whole group.
GM SpiderBeard
@Aramil - Probably skip it. You'll have limited use unless you guys go in directions I don't expect.
Aramil Wellys
Okay. I was going to take Ancestral Paragon for the Sociable Ancestry feat to grab Hobnobber, but I'll grab something else instead.
HP +9

Gains General Feat - Cat Fall
Gains Lightning Reflexes (Expert Reflex Saves)
Skill Increase: Performance (Expert)

Well, that’s decided, then.
She doesn’t get much else at this level, I think. I increased her Stealth to Expert proficiency.

HP +11
Gains Incredible Movement +10'
Gains Mystic Strikes (Magic)
Gains Skill Feat (train animal)
Gains Ancestral Paragon
Gains Natural Skill (diplomacy and survival)
Skill Increase: Diplomacy (expert)
I small change, taking expert in Thievery instead of diplomacy. Fits with my character concept better.
Aramil Wellys
We haven't shown much inclination to take the stealthy approach thus far, so I say go with Terrain Expertise (forest). You can always circle back to Quiet Allies later.
GM SpiderBeard
Realized that tokentool had an update a couple years back I never looked at and then bought someone's token art for my games I moved to roll20 lol. Realized my minimal effort in years long PBP could step up on the token front.
GM SpiderBeard
Fiiine new token for Alak in a bit.
@Lenna -
So there's no masterwork anymore (they found it was just too confusing for players) and thus your standard 'masterwork' weapon is now a +1 potency rune.
It is JUST to hit.
The damage one is a striking rune which rather than giving you a +1 to damage, gives you an entire extra die of damage. This has consequentially made magic weapon one of the most powerful level 1 spells.
And yes you can transfer runes which requires a craft check and some money.
https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=733
Aramil Wellys
The way the rules for transferring runes are worded doesn't specify that you need the Magical Crafting feat, but they do say you must meet all prerequisites needed to transfer a rune, which I believe means that someone needs the Magical Crafting feat and expert in Crafting.
Omari, is that something you were planning on doing? I can go that route, as well, if needed.
We could also possibly find someone to do it for us.
Aramil Wellys
Okay, cool. I was planning on grabbing Expert Occultist at 5 so I could pick up Trick Magic Item, but I was open to changing it.
GM SpiderBeard
Okay, so. Hero points.
They're a core mechanic in PF2 and something I've got in the rhythm of using frequently with my in-person games. They haven't been picked up much in PbP so I'm going to try to implement my own system for them.
1. Hero points reset now. Everyone has one hero point.
2. I am going to create a sidebar in the google slides doc which will show your current hero point totals per PC. That means every time you look at the battlemap, you will see hero points.
3. Hero points will reset every 28 days or four weeks, subject to discretion since you may get stuck in long combats. I'm going to see how this works in terms of pacing.
4. I will attempt to reward hero points more readily but please nominate each other for hero points. The game is more fun when the system is used.
---
Now on use of hero points, you will normally be asked to use hero points within yhour own post. Just like you hit 'preview' to see if you critted and adjust the post accordingly, so too will you be expected to use hero points for reroll. Using them to prevent dying will be done normally.
Let's see how this works.

A note on wands:
Wands in PF2 are very different, and weaker (a big design decisino was to get rid of the CLW juice phenomenon). They way they work is:
- The spell must be on your spell list (or you have trick magic device)
- You can then cast the spell at level once per day. The spell uses your own spell DC and stat bonuses.
- You can then 'overcharge' and recast the spell one more time with a DC 10 flat check. Success, the wand is broken (and repairable). Failure, the wand is destroyed.
