Milady' |
Milady will come back from the pub, with a pint for Flint: "You moved me, deeply..."
Zanderel Elerin |
Zanderel chuckles, then says to Hopper, "Can I read that? I'm not familiar with their work, and would like to see if there are other tidbits worth knowing."
He nonetheless doesn't disturb the proceedings.
Milady' |
"Oh, no! Sorry... Did you not run off to the inn, as Flint asked us all to?"
GM Aerondor |
As you take out the potion you hear a commotion as an angry man smashes several jars to the ground! Several horrid flying creatures emerge, as the man falls over.
init: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
If you beat the roll above, take a round of actions.
Flint Thunderstriker |
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22 "What in Torag's Forge is happening!?"
Flint strides forward, draws his hammer, and lets fly with the head as he orders everyone, "Unless ye got a weapon SCRAM!"
Hammer of War!: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24 for DMG: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 Crit maybe?
Arrus Lionius |

Anjo Aroh |

Anjo draws his bow, designates his target Blue because it's outside volley penalty and fires an arrow with his longbow.

Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 3
Recall Knowledge (only Trained in Nature): 1d20 ⇒ 6
Milady' |

Milady pulls her dogslicer out-- "This will do for flying hounds!"

1st attack w. Dogslicer, S: 1d20 + 1 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 1 + 2 + 4 = 9
--ineffectively...
"Why are we attacking these?"
GM Aerondor |
Arrus is pretty sure these are fiends of some description, probably minor ones. But still dangerous. He thinks they may have...ahhh..."fed" recently so they may be more dangerous than normal.
Religion for recall knowledge
Flint strides forward and strikes hard But not critically
Arrus draws his bow, and then draws blood with his arrow. Anjo joins him, and soon all three demons are wounded, but not dead.
Milady tries to change that, but misses badly.

Hopper still needs his init, as does Zand..
Hopper ninit: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Z: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
A sizzle slices through the airas Hoppers bottle explodes over the red fiend. It vanishes.. maybe dead.. or .. maybe not.
The green one snaps at Flint, but without effect. The last one however does get a good mouthful of Milady. Yummy!
Perhaps most distressingly, the creatures wounds seem to vanish before your eyes as their fiendish nature exerts itself!

Sorry GM, forgot about init roll
Hopper pulls out his sling and loads it.
He begins to swing it and lets go the bullet yelling
"Leave that Goblin Lady alone!"
Attack, sling: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4
1 action: pull out sling
2 action: load - reload(1)
3 action: shoot
However, he aims badly and the stone flies up in the air.
Flint Thunderstriker |
Shoot. Not sure how you want to handle the order of operations Aerondor. Flint would use his reaction to protect Milady. His retributive strike provides Milady with DR 3 versus the attack. The foe is too far for a strike though, so it's just the DR.
"Ye damned fiends. Go back to yer hole!" Flint takes a guarded step to get closer to Milady as he swings his hammer once:
ATK: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14 for DMG if hit: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
He then raises his shield for the retort.
Pell the Peerless |
Realizing that, now, he almost certainly won't be enjoying any ale in the near future, Pell draws a javelin and hurls it at the nearest fiend.
Ranged strike (Javelin) v green: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14

@Flint, no worries, happy to retrospectively give the hp back to Milady. Feel free to put a reminder to be in text or OOC, about standing ready to defend companions (and OOC reminding me what the mechanics behind that actually is)
Milady is thankful that Flint manage to deflect part of the blow against her at the last minute. His own return strike however is slightly off.

Pell has no more luck with his javelin, but Anjo manages to get an arrow past the blue creatures defences.

Zanderel Elerin |
Apologies for the delay. I'm here now.
"Oh my," the elf manages to say before closes his eyes and delves into his fractured mind palace to recall what he can about the strange creatures.
Religion (Recall Knowledge): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
"Damnit! No time!" he opens his eyes and begins weaving a spell. With several complex gestures and a pair of muttered arcane syllables he evokes a pair of magical spheres of force that immediate fly out and strike one of the creatures!

Milady' |
As the flying whatever is about to take a big chunk of Milday, Milady tries to dodge it, but is unable to, but then Flint steps in and blocks the teeth, so that she is only scratched.
"Why... why... why, thank you kindly, sir!"
Milady would have used Nimble Dodge as her reaction to add 2 AC (spent for this round)
She then starts to feel a little bit green--
Fortitude, trained: 1d20 + 1 + 2 + 0 ⇒ (14) + 1 + 2 + 0 = 17
--but, being a Goblin, she is used to it, and shakes her feeling off.
Very unhappy, Milady frowns at Blue-biter, and decides to go after it, forgetting the better tactical moves.
She moves to the left, but then jumps back to the right, trying to feinting it--

If it is flat-footed: +1d6+1 Precision damage (Sneak Attack + Backstabber)
1st attack S damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Then she glares at it with her big red eyes, and bellows: "YOU MAKE ME SICK!", in a pretty intimidating way.

Arrus sends an arrow straight between the eyes of the green creature. It vanishes in a puff of foul smelling smoke.
The green one continues to try and munch on Milday - with only minor success. Again her companion puts his shield in the way, taking the whole of the blow.
However the red one reappears, looking for revenge on Arrus. It sinks its disgusting teeth into his flesh as well. Ouch.

GM Aerondor |
The elven master of magic sends one bolt of force after another slamming into the blue fiend. It reels, but is still flying and looking pretty darn angry now. Anjo quickly shows that mortal instruments are at least as good as magic, by dropping it with his first arrow.
The ranger then glares at the last demon, moving to get a clear shot at it.
Hopper sends a sling bullet into the last fiend.
wow, PFS2 you just get a lesser cover penalty for firing through your friends, and I can't see any penalty for firing into melee.
Pell then moves to surround it and slashes the creature with his large sword. Ouch, that looked like it hurt.

And then there is quiet. Everyone has left the square during the fight. There is just you and the stone statue that you have come to release...
Pell the Peerless |
"Murderous fiends are one way to clear the streets, I suppose." remarks Pell as he wipes his blade clean and then looks to retrieve his javelin."Still, I would have preferred dancing girls...or guys...or just about anything dancing, really."
He stows his weapons, pats down the non-existent pockets on his armor, then points to the statue and asks, "So, anyone have any stone salve for our quiet friend here?"
Zanderel Elerin |
2 people marked this as a favorite. |
I don't know if we established who is carrying the salve, but for the sake of moving things along let's say Zan had it
Zanderel removes a bottle from his backpack. He takes a moment to read the instructions, which are written in several languages, and smirks. "In Elven it says to, 'Gently rub the contents of this bottle to any area that is hard' which, I must say can be misleading. Fortunately, in the Common tongue it says, 'apply topically'."
The elf then opens the salve and spreads it liberally over the stone form.
Anjo Aroh |
Anjo goes about searching the area and whatever bodies remain.
Effectively Take 20, Perception is 27
GM Aerondor |
The demons leave little but a foul scent in the area.
The salve works like...magic. The pathfinder looks around, startled, and takes a deep breathe of fresh air. "Oh my. You have my deepest thanks.."
She reaches into a hidden pouch and pulls out a small golden idol and hands it over. "A token of my appreciation. Now, if it okay with you, I'd like a drink, and to get back to the Grand Lodge..." She looks around "I see there have been some changes. Ahh, what year is it?"
Mission successful! Which do you want to try next?
Milady' |
Milady tries to catch a few drops of the salve...
"I know a guy who's heart is cold as stone, maybe try this on him."
Looking the idol over, she tries to see what it is.
"Thank you, ma'am, thank you!"
Then she will follow along...
Zanderel Elerin |
What Anjo said. GMs choice or follow in order, since I suspect we'll be doing them all anyhow. :)
Zanderel conveys what year it is. "I understand your plight, as I'm a man out of time too. Perhaps we can compare notes on our experiences, as it fascinates me academically. For now though, we have additional tasks to attend to. Farewell."
Flint Thunderstriker |
Flint watches as Zanderal steeples his fingers and gets back to the mission. Before leaving though, the champion gives parting words, "ye've been given a gift. Use it wisely and make the most of your days. It's the year 4919, and the first year of your new life."
GM Aerondor |
The team, flushed with success, if feeling still a little under the weather from the brief encounter decide to tackle the college of mystery. You briefly recall what you learned at the party the night before.
If you want to try and find some information out, let me know as you put an RP post in on your way to the Petals district. Give me your diplomacy modifier. Remember you also have a one off use of a list of names that will give you a bonus on this type of check...
Milady' |
Milady finds the piece of paper with scribbles on it and reads: Lord Aldimore Bumblecut owes for having requested help in slaying slug-fiends summoned to cure his gout...
Well, I could stop in to see this one.
If he has the gout, he won't be wandering around, and he seems to know about esoteric and fiendish things, if only for his own feet."
Milady cleans up her nice - shredded at the legs - silk outfit, and goes to knock on the man's door and try to glean some information.
"Dear sir, are they any people in the area who might have some ailments that required them to turn to esoteric means of reprieve?"
Diplomacy, trained: 1d20+7 (+1 Make an Impression on nobility & upper class)
Is the bonus a one off per person, or for the whole group?

Hopper looks at the saved pathfinder saying:
"Given the petrification, please drink a lot of fluids. You longshanks have a tendency to dehydrate quicker than others. I would not drink too much alcohol tonight if I were you, especially given the quality of the antidote. I am almost sure I smelled horses piss, so I recommend shower."
Parting with those words Hopper jumps on his mount and follows the team towards Petals district.
"Along the way live some a wierdo that is into occultism and fortune-telling among other things. He might know something about the discovered esoteric lore as he is a big critic of the College of Mysteries. His name is Gullveig the Seer."
