All right, so Thyste is sitting on more-or-less 2k gold. I'm thinking:
-Masterwork Doru (304gp)
-Masterwork Shortbow (330gp)
-+1 Leather Armor (1310gp)
-A potion of Reduce Person
Does that work? Just kind of a base upgrade to my combat kit, really.

I just realized how much this party must stink.
I'm sure neither gnolls nor hyenas are particularly fragrant nor hygienic.
Buddy is a wilderness Half-Orc (I was going to comment on how HE smells like orc after the "armor smells like orc" part but you already did.)
Lidia is a wild woman who doesn't care.
I assume Thyste and now Kioshi walk around with clothespins on their noses.

Thyste has a grooming kit and everything...
...but she is part fox, and thus doesn't find smells as objectionable.
You might notice she has a habit of walking upwind of the group, though.

True re: Lidia. I think she usually does have a fair amount of BO going on. There's a little bit of Calamity Jane from the old 'Deadwood' TV show about her.

As I sit here at work, I'm imagining soundtracks for our characters.
Lidia is an Evanescence song come to life. Just gothic. See if you and I agree about the other characters.

Working for me! I really don't mind an occasional slow down in the game. I got lots of balls in the air anyway, so if one takes a little longer to come down than the others there is still plenty to do.

It's good for me, too. Weekends are generally deadzones for me but I don't mind catching up on Mondays.
And I can't argue with your soundtrack for Ulretha. I'm not a huge fan of the artist you've chosen but his attitude and songs are just right.

I went looking for a dinosaur of medium size that has swimming to no avail. Anyone know of one? Or a mega fauna? Heck, it's hard to find anything medium sized period! Flying would be useful too. I think he is limited to a velociraptor for his wild shape ability.Or can you always turn into a medium sized version of the animal and gain the traits offered by beast shape? I n=know that the beast shape spell/wild shape ability does not exactly duplicate the creature anyway, so maybe!

You pick a small or medium dino or megafauna. You gain their natural attacks, movement (up to what is stated in the spell), sense etc. but your equipment melds into your body so no benefit of armour and no activating magic items. All other constant bonuses from items remain like a cloak of resistance.
In addition to these benefits, you gain any of the natural attacks of the base creature, including proficiency in those attacks. These attacks are based on your base attack bonus, modified by your Strength or Dexterity as appropriate, and use your Strength modifier for determining damage bonuses.
If a polymorph spell causes you to change size, apply the size modifiers appropriately, changing your armor class, attack bonus, Combat Maneuver Bonus, and Stealth skill modifiers. Your ability scores are not modified by this change unless noted by the spell.
I can't find anything with swim until you large and tiny shapes.
Large
Plesiosaurus (swim)
Pterosaur, Pteranodon (large Fly)
Medium
Dimorphodon (fly)
Tiny
Rhamphorhynchus (fly)
Compsognathus (swim)

So it does sound like if you cannot change into something of the size of the creature you cannot take the shape. Does Dimorphodon really count as a dinosaur? When I went to the roll20 list for dinosaurs it was not listed there but was instead listed under pterosaur. What, then, makes an animal a dinosaur?

I recommend using the archives as it is the closest thing to an official list we have. Dinosuar list

| GM_Grandlounge |
Pterosaur are technically not dinosaurs but pathfinder has some of them listed as such so I'm happy to use the kid definitions of dino and megafauna. Dinos are extinct mean reptiles, and megafauna are big extinct other things.
Anything on the list you are good to use within the limits of the spell.
Check for things that don't have megafauna or dinosaurs in there name.

I would posit that pterosaurs are megafauna since they're not dinosaurs.
The largest (which was native to Texas, naturally) was the size of a fighter jet. That seems pretty "Mega" to me.

Pterosaur does not appear on either list. I guess that means it is off limits.

| GM_Grandlounge |
Pteranodon is a type of Pterosaur and is on the dino list for that reason will allow any of these. But ultimately it is up to you.

I'm more than fine with that. It makes sense to me at least. I'm just so used to the PFS RAW obsession I tend to be cautious so that I don't get figuratively spanked. This is one of the things I like about playing non-society. The GM can and will alter things in favor of sanity and sometimes even make up cool things.
Yea! I can fly!

Ya for PFS I would go with the lists but we don't have to do that here so we don't have to deal with lack of a staff taxonomist.

To answer Lidia's questions - Not Well and No They Will Not as they are also not great swimmers.
@Grandlounge - How deep is the water? Do I need to fail some swim checks or can I stand up?

Let me know if want me to pin anything to the game thread, as I'm clearly still watching the discussion (though I don't check gameplay) and try and help out sometimes.

Fixed. Something crazy happened on my end and a post I never copied posted to two games at the same time. I had two versions of the page for this game opened with two different posts with identical times.
