Shake it off it is! I believe the pack will be inheriting teamwork skills from you too, right? Makes it lots of fun!

I also like outflank, precise strike, and Blades Above and Below (once we get larger companions) for lots of flanking goodness. There's also that one I don't remember that gives you a flank if we are all attacking the same enemy.

I guess what I mean is, if Ulretha and his 3 hyenas are in melee against something, do they all get +3 to save? That seems crazy good.

That is crazy good, but in my case Little Buddy would not get the feat for free and he'll have to learn it from us! I have an inquisitor that has that feat and solo tactics and she can get a boat load of bonuses if she positions herself in the midst of the group. Combined with Stalwart and a Ring of Evasion she almost never suffers ill effects from spells and such.

Not sure if Ulretha's pack get teamwork feats from Ulretha for free or not. I know certain archetypes and classes do that, but haven't looked it up for him. Would be nice though!

Animal companions are limited in the feats they can take, at least until you use an ability upgrade to bump them up to 3 Int, and teamwork feats aren't on the list.

I do have the Tactician ability as a Cavalier which lets me share my teamwork feats with my allies for a limited amount of time each day.

So, for a while, yes, we could get some crazy high bonuses using this ability.

My ruling would be that animal companions would have to take the feat themselves when they qualify or use inquisitor and cavalier abilities to do so. I don't want to make class features pointless. Bouse feat custom rules apply to PCs.

That said if there were strong opposition I'm happy to change that.

That is how I would rule it too. No bonus feats for companions.

Ditto. It's adding a feature to a feature, so double dipping, basically. And, unless Little Buddy is smarter than the Pack, none of them are actually eligible to take the teamwork feat.

Thanks for keeping the spirit of my custom rules alive Grandlounge. I really wanted to give players the opportunity to do something different from standard PFS stuff. It does sound like a ton of free bonus stuff, but I tried to avoid the options being just raw power.

The players are good at not abusing them. It is as much to their credit as anything.

If the lily pads are the only way across, I’m probably best-suited (being Small and having 23 Acrobatics when I take 10).

I have a question. I noticed that a Velociraptor has the evasion and leaping charge ability and the Improved Initiative and Weapon Finesse feats. Does an animal companion get things like this for free?

No. They're different.

A lot of times you'll get one or more of those abilities at 4th or 7th level but you have to actually use the Feats your AC gets to get those Feats.

Ulretha has it correct. Evasion you when get as all animal companions do, level 3 and improved evasion at 15.

What would I need to do to take Gorum as my patron and do I have enough information from the sword/Kioshi's identification to know there's an additional ability and how to get it?

Look, as with any smutty romance novel, they are epitomized by lazy writing and cliché tropes. So I saw the title Thyste proposed and the book instantly wrote itself in my head. This is a story of moral collapse, culminating in the perversity of the headline relationship. The chapter one encounter is only meant to highlight the first steps of the protagonist's degradations, at the hands of some creepy old schoolteacher. But the delicious Thysty parts come soon afterwards, and lead by nasty, grubby steps to the headline embrace of an actual monster in a weird BDSM back-and-forth, at which point 80% of the prose is just vulgar descriptions of girl hentai intimacy.

I mean, I can write this book if you want to read it. But why on earth would you? :D
