We're making good time and ought to be able to include the optional encounter, but I don't want to rush the finale.

Thank you. I like the idea of having the shaman use a focus to cast spells. Similar to a voodoo doll, but with more versatility.
I also love the fact that Tem is the 'character' and Poe is more of the vassal/buffer. I am really interested to see what the boon is on the chronicle. Props for sticking with your character concept.

Graves, do you share anything of what you learned in the spoiler? Your post doesn't indicate any form of communication with the rest of the party.

I hope you all don't mind the (slight) breaking of the fourth wall in my latest post. It seemed an interesting angle to me. :) I won't pursue it further to the point of breaking immersion.

Don't go disbelieving yourself out of existence, we should be fine. :)

Very quick post, already quite late for bed and I need to sleep. Yndra definitely will drink, but not sure whether she'll come out of her current mental state before doing so. I'll think it over... Busy day ahead tomorrow, it'll be in the afternoon before I get a chance to post.

Whilst there is no legal entry for Roidira as a PFS deity, pathfinder wiki says that some consider her to be an aspect of Irori. It cites the sourcebook "Qadira: Gateway to the East." I suppose you could worship Roidira as Irori. It's not precisely canon, you might get some GMs grumble, but I've occasionally seen other PCs take some licence in the name of character development and the story justifies it imho
Taking it here, so as not to clutter up Gameplay any further. I'm reading the text in the wiki a bit differently. Some claim the white feather to be an aspect of Irori.
I've read some more on retraining my class entirely. It would be 7 PP per level, or 5 if I retrain into cleric, paladin or ranger. Cleric or paladin would leave me with the same problem (need a PFS-legal deity), ranger just doesn't suit. That leaves other classes (oracle or spiritualist, most likely), at 7 PP per level. That's quite a hefty sum. As I wrote to the GM earlier, I don't think I'll play much PFS1 at this point, so it's probably not worth the hassle. Maybe I'll just stat her up as a deity-less inquisitor for posterity. :)

I could find only two references, neither of which is of much use.
The first was in the afore mentioned Qadira sourcebook.
Monks of the White Feather
These monastic wanderers from the East deny all suggestions that they are worshipers of a splinter faith or aspect of Irori. They claim only to follow the White Feather, a peaceful guiding spirit (some argue a deity) who impels them to spread a message of peaceful contemplation and self-improvement, abandoning the need for both material wealth and societal position.
Given their outlook, it is little wonder that the satrap, who is already distrustful of new faiths entering Qadira, is doubly suspicious of any faith that preaches against the war he longs for with Taldor. Debate continues as to the identity of the White Feather. Some people (particularly Varisians) believe it is the Peacock Spirit, while others suggest it is a mostly forgotten entity called Roidira, Dark Sister of Knowledge. Still others contend that the White Feather is an aspect of a deity already known in Golarion, such as Apsu or Shelyn.
The only other reference I could find was in one of the early Pathfinder Chronicle books.... which amounted to about the same thing.
The arrival of new ideas and new cults from the East is almost as common as the arrival of camel fleets and silks. A small group calling itself the White Feather Monks recently arrived with such a caravan, teaching peace and serenity to those who listen. Their meditations and prayers are closely watched by the satrap, who fears any new faith or idea as potentially dangerous until his people can investigate its leaders and find them worthy. As pacif ists, the WhiteFeather Monks face a long struggle to win the satrap’s good graces, for he has little use for those who cannot feed his war machine as he prepares the next offensive against Taldor. Some believe these monks are simply another cult of Irori, but others believe their origins are much older and more dangerous, perhaps related to the lost cult of the Peacock Spirit or to Roidira, a figure called the Dark Sister of Knowledge.
Dunno what the scenario itself has to say on the matter.

I know you are not planning on too much more PF1, but it seems like characters rarely get opportunities to actually evolve. I really like how this questioning/break of faith is playing out, especially for an inquisitor. (I am imagining one of the Spanish Inquisition converting to another religion.)

That's a wrap folks - if you want to post any additional RP or epilogues in gameplay please feel free.
Success conditions: your primary mission is achieved as long as at least one of you experiences Roidira's visions by drinking the waters of enlightenment, and making a report back to the high priestess. Your second prestige point is earned by achieving a 'clout' threshold with the high priestess, or experiencing at least 4 visions in total. You did this. (Clout is a 'hidden' measure of influence, which you accrue by succeeding at the theatre challenge and by how you conduct your conversation with the high priestess. For skill-light parties there is an alternative combat encounter that offers less influence, but you didn't need that.)
Everyone not dead or retired earns the "High Priestess' Patronage" boon - this gives you a one time 10% discount on a purchase which you have to use during the scenario or when you receive the chronicle sheet. The purchase gets entered on the chronicle. I am happy to leave this blank if you want some time to think about it, but you'll have to use this part of the boon before your next adventure.
Everyone who drank the Waters of Enlightenment gets a one use boon that adds a random number to a skill check (which could be -1 or zero).
The phantom boon is as follows - this is what Poe rejected:
- a normal phantom has INT 7, so Zarisha is getting an extra 2 skill ranks per HD.
I'll aim to get chronicles done by the end of the week - it'll probably be sooner.
Sorry that UJ died to that stupid lizard; and kudos to Yndra for a cool retirement story; she'll be marked dead in reporting (becoming an inquisitor with no deity is an "effect that is intended to mechanically affect your character in a negative way." (Guide p.19).
Boons are potentially available - on a roll of 1 or 20. Rolling in alphabetical order (character names)
fate: 1d20 ⇒ 11
poe: 1d20 ⇒ 16
GM supervillan: 1d20 ⇒ 11
mr graves: 1d20 ⇒ 20
tsschas: 1d20 ⇒ 18
uncle j: 1d20 ⇒ 18
Yndra: 1d20 ⇒ 4
Boon for Mr Graves - choose from boons listed here - if you let me have your email address the powers will be will sort that out for you.

Thanks for running, Supervillan. I had a great time. Too bad that we couldn't find a way for Yndra to stay on; it just wasn't feasible to retrain all of my class levels with the PP that I had. It was a great way to say goodbye to this character. Who knows, maybe if Roidira ever becomes legal in PFS2 I'll remake her. :)

GM supervillan |

I think Irori-Roidira would work; but I agree it's a stretch. I've read the wiki entry as "Roidira = White Feather (?)" + "White Feather = Irori (?)" therefore "Roidria = Irori (?)"
Retirement as the Prophet of The Everlasting Road is a great story to tell though :)

Thanks for running the game.
It's great to see how a character can retire in game and with style.

GM supervillan |

It's the Online Support Program. Very similar to the RSP but for online play.
Reviewing the Guide, I see that an ex-inquisitor doesn't have to be marked as dead if they don't immediately switch deities or Atone: it's one of those "conditions" that is allowed to carry over. An Atonement to restore Inquisitor powers cost 8PP.

![]() |

Let's do that then. I'll keep her in limbo until there's a way to make her legal, or she realizes she's made a mistake and atones.

![]() |

Sounds good enough. Who knows maybe the restriction gets lifted in future.

GM supervillan |

Yndra I have left the High Priestess' Patronage boon available to you, in case you should ever return to play, because you did technically qualify for it along with the rest of the party.
Anyone who drank the waters of enlightenment receives the "Visions of the Void" boon.
Let me know if anything needs changing or fixing.
Thanks for the game!

Graci! Looks good on my end.

Reroll?

![]() |

Got it, Supervillan. Thanks again, and the rest of the players too, of course. See you around. :)

I could let you have mine if it's allowed.
Thank you for the game.
Chronicle received.

GM supervillan |

Rerolls can definitely be given via campaign service coins - but I don't know of any other way.
