Arlen, I really need to do maps with Roll20, as all my games are linked on there. I'll see about making a google drive copy to see if that works for your devices.
ROUND 4 MAP
You just can't move your tokens about with it.

Arlen Ducote |

If we are losing PCs should we reallocate their treasure?
Who wants the +1 chain shirt?

Arlen Ducote |

So what's the roll call for who is still with us?
Does anyone want to figure out what loot the departing PCs had?

Arlen Ducote |

Also, I'm sorry my posting has been so slow lately. I have been spending most of my waking hours on work, and what's left has gone to family, etc. Things should go back to normal for me in the next week or so.

Faerieth |

Probably not a bad idea. Sor's been gone for the better part of a year, so the sheet wouldn't have been updated anyway. There haven't been any major magic items distributed so probably no need to redistribute anything.
Recruiting would likely be a good idea and breathe a little new life into things.

Arlen Ducote |

If there's 4+ PCs I would lean towards *not* recruiting. More players slow the game down IMO.

Faerieth |

We don't have a full arcane caster. We have 2 mounted frontliners, a divine caster, and a ranged half arcane caster.
If regular posting, more players can actually move the game along, as most GM's wait for 3 or 4 posts before progressing except in combat. There is a higher likelihood of 3-4 posts per day with a few more players.

And one with diminished spellcasting, at that.
That said, I think adding one or two players works as long as they can keep the pace.
Incidentally, I'm back. :)

Arlen Ducote |

Hmm, alright. Adding a spellcaster probably makes sense. I would still prefer we add just one more PC; two tops.
--
GM, how close are we to our next level up?

Faerieth |

We'd also likely benefit from a skill-based character. The GM would know better if we'd suffer for a lack of those skills later on.

Darry Swiftfoot |

so good news. its not covid killing me. Its a bronchial infection mixed with walking pneumonia.... good times
I will try to manage more energy for posting things im terrible sorry. Today was the first day in like the last five days ive been able to be upright for more than an hour.

Yaron Oravar |

Um, glad to hear it. I mean, compared to the alternative, in any case.

Faerieth |

So right now we have two cavaliers, a bard, and a druid right?
For our arcane addition, I'm partial to two of the witches:
Tamarantha Callandriil Elven Hedge Witch
Diane Ghema Elven (Hobgoblin-hating pyromaniac) witch
although both of them being potion brewers means that going with either one would mean either doubling up on the availability of potions for the group (not a bad thing), or me possibly retraining my Druidic Herbalism class feature when there's time and maybe taking a domain instead.
Cuthalian Elven Magus looks pretty solid too.

Arlen Ducote |

I love Magus and Occultist as classes, so I like both of those submissions. Probably one of them plus one of the witches or wizards would be best. But I don't have the time/energy to read each submission and give more detailed feedback.

Vanulf Wulfson is a great player So im pretty pro Tamarantha Callandriil is a go for me.
team witch eh?
The burning witch is pretty cool albeit very very scary *lawls*
I like the background Rabscuttle put into his older fellow wizard Iosef Vocar but i would put him at 3rd

Yaron Oravar |

I thought I'd posted here, but seems it didn't take.
I think the hedge witch would be an excellent addition - arcane magic plus some healing -- and the fact that it's also a player that's solid makes it even more attractive.
My only concern is that we've not got a trap finder following the loss of Sor -- Yaron is the wrong kind of bard to do it.

Although you could get a hold of a couple scrolls of this

Tamarantha Callandriil |

Hello everyone, thanks for the votes of confidence and I hope I don't disappoint (this is only the second Witch character I've played. The first being a Winter Witch in Reign of Winter and Tamarantha is the complete opposite approach. Aelethea was a debuff/screw over type, while Tamarantha is more the buff/aid type)
It's been a busy weekend for me so hopefully I'll get an in-game post up soon.

Yaron Oravar |

Welcome! Happy to have you!

DM-Camris |

Tamarantha Callandriil |

GM, sorry if I got a little bit meta with the knowledge roll.
There's no range listed on the Ward hex description but I'm going to assume it's 30' like some of the other hexes. If you could place Tam somewhere within 30 feet of Arlen (and preferably not in the middle of the vegepygmy horde) I'd appreciate it.

DM-Camris |

Tamarantha: Cool with the knowledge check; someone was going to realize what they were and how to deal with them.
I've placed your starting square well back out of the melee scrum on the middle western border of the map.
If you need to get to the party quickly, the big tree in the middle is clear terrain. The rest of the bushes are difficult terrain.
Hex target is OK, We'll assume you scored a critical spellcraft roll and got extended to long range to get him.
You should be good to control your icon, as well as Sundancer now.

Tamarantha Callandriil |

Has anyone heard anything from Arlen? He hasn't posted since the end of December.

Arlen Ducote |

Wow, I did not realize it had been that long! I have decided I do need to drop from this game, however. Thanks for running it, GM Camris. I enjoyed playing with the rest of y'all as well.

Yaron Oravar |

Sorry, everyone. Got caught up in a home improvement project over the weekend (that and binge watching Reacher).
I paced myself and so the season lasted *3* whole nights. ;)

Faerieth |

All loot has been added to the loot sheet (Link located in my profile). Check it out and if there's any gear you want to claim, just say so here, and we can adjust the sheet once you add it to your character sheet.
Looks like it's down to Yaron, Darry, Tamarantha, and myself. At least we have a good balance (Melee/Ranged(buffer)/Arcane/Divine)

Tamarantha Callandriil |

Another body was a dark skinned elf with long white hair. He had masterwork studded leather armor, two masterwork alchemical silver scimitars, and a cold iron boot dagger.
Someone killed Drizzt

Shouldn't we get a figurine of wondrous power, then?

Faerieth |

Anyone have thoughts on the Amulet? Looks like Tamarantha has the lowers AC (13) but can boost that with Mage Armor which increases time with level, then me (14).
One thing is that Natural Armor would stay with me when I gain Wild Shape eventually.

Yaron Oravar |

I'd say that letting Faerith use it for now makes the most sense, given the mage armour -- and, probably the same is true over the long term.

DM-Camris |

The only natural shelter is under the larger trees, and even so it is cold and rainy. Only those who have tents (or magical substitute) can get any true rest. Those who don't are Fatigued the next day.
The cold camp reminds you that the refugees, while they have the rain shelters you obtained from the Ironfang Legion, they definitely don't have winter clothing or shelter. And gathering food is getting harder and harder.
You wonder if the Troglodyte caves might be large or extensive enough to shelter the refugees.
Next day, what do you do?

Faerieth |

There were tents on the squad we killed just before the spiders, and we haven't been back to the main camp since so we should have tents on us.

Faerieth |

Nope no mention of leveling prior to this.
+8 hp (5+1 favored+2 Con)
+1 BAB
+1 Reflex
2nd level spells
2 2nd level per day (1+1 Wis bonus)
Mediator’s Ear (Ex)
By 3rd level, a Green Faith initiate is respected for her neutrality and even-handed attitude toward all people as well as other living things. She quickly develops some sense for others’ attitudes, much as she does with animals. A Green Faith initiate gains a bonus on Diplomacy and Sense Motive checks equal to half her druid level. This ability replaces trackless step.
