The refugees need a place to call home, however temporarily, and it needs to be somewhere secure.
A set of caves in the area offers multiple opportunities, including concealment, food, and water, in addition to some wealth.
Aubrin vaguely remembers a troglodyte tribe called the Children of Stone that often harassed—and feasted upon—Chernasardo Rangers in the area during her time. Aubrin recalls the creatures—and their secure home—and asks the party to investigate the location as a possible long-term home.

Nah, that first attack was a 7-- Miss. But that second one was a hit for sure. I'm sure he's giving retreat considerable thought.

Yep, Big John lives... for the moment. But that Energy Drain hit is significant. -5 hp, -1 to all die rolls. In 24 hours roll a fort save or it is permanent.

And a second hit does you in. Besides, that's gonna hurt more when you drop out of rage
Just a note to Big John that having used a Standard act to make an attack, you also have a Move act if you like.

So looks like Darry's the only one with a shot at making a Knowledge Religion check, otherwise, we're clueless as to the effects of fighting undead.

So the save for the level drain (wear off or become permanent) happens 24 hrs after initially gaining the negative level. So we'll have to make saves just before sundown right?
Yep, about sixteen hours from when you rose in the morning, about 14.5 hours from the point where you are looking at the mites home base.
Or you could go visit the Wizard Veld; she might have good advice if not an actual cure. She's maybe 6-7 hours travel away from here.

During the night, Faerieth will spend 3 hours working on the most injured members of the party.
Heal (treat deadly wounds :DC 20: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16 Self
Heal (treat deadly wounds :DC 20: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28 John
Heal (treat deadly wounds :DC 20: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (10) + 12 = 22 Darry
When treating deadly wounds, you can restore hit points to a damaged creature. Treating deadly wounds restores 1 hit point per level of the creature. If you exceed the DC by 5 or more, add your Wisdom modifier (if positive) to this amount. A creature can only benefit from its deadly wounds being treated within 24 hours of being injured and never more than once per day.
Plus my Frontier Healer trait adds 1 to hp healed.
John heals 1 per level (2)+ Wis mod (3)+1 =6
Darry heals 1 per level (2)+1 =3
+ normal healing 1hp per level for each person.
If you're still down after that, jus roll a use of the Cure Wand and let me know, to keep track.

Those boots are super cool, that being said, Darry rides a wolf dog, so they definitely should go elsewhere. I suggest Sor or Big John, bonus movement always helpful to set up flanking positions. Just my 2 coppers :)
