Hello everyone, and thank you for your patience getting this game off the ground. I hope that everyone is still excited by their characters and ready to get things moving again so our motley band of supernatural misfits can start their various misadventures in Washington. There are just a few things that need to be finished so we can start properly.
1) Finish mechanics: I know that most people are at least partially done with the mechanical side of their character, but let's get those finished. I'd like everyone to have their mechanics ready and in an alias by next Saturday (May 4th). We'll still have room to change stuff during the early stages of the game, so don't worry if your character isn't 100% perfect. We can tweak to make sure everything plays well.
2) Backstories: I need a mostly finished backstory for everyone to finish setting up character points and the like, as well as to get everything situated. Make sure to give a write-up (not asking for a novel, but give me something to work with) and answer the questions your splat book asks for your character type. If you can get it done at the same time as mechanics, great, but if not, I'm setting a deadline of May 11th to finish up so we don't delay any longer than necessary to get moving.
3) Character Connection: Since we're playing with a wide variety of character types, there's less of an innate assumption that you'll be able to work together by default. So I want everyone to come up with a general character connection that connects the whole party (you're all in the same club, you all have detention together, etc) and one personal connection to another party member (you have a crush, you know what they are, they helped you at some point, etc). The personal connection doesn't have to be reciprocal.

Hey there, I'm in the same boat as Helix. All my stuff is on my other laptop, and I still haven't gotten my laptop a new charger cable (since I had the Chinese adapter).
My character is a changeling - a Fairest Plaything, she will be primarily good at Empathy, Intimidate, Brawling and Street Smarts. She is a homeless person whose fetch was killed by her own parents, so she has to live off the grid after returning home from her durance.
She probably knows all of the other characters from a shared childhood, but is only presently acquainted with those characters who specifically would have recognized and approached her.

Zoey dotting, alias is still a WIP but I have most of my mechanics picked out save for totem which I'm still not really sure how to approach.
Elizabeth is a werewolf built for stealth. She is mainly good for scouting and exploring. her brawling is pretty good but I mainly plan to use flanking in combat to lower enemies armor for other people instead of attacking directly.

I see several possible ways to approach the Pack and Totem.
The first that comes to mind is that it might be best to skip over it for the moment. Considering the characters are teenagers and she Aspires to find a pack of her own, perhaps she doesn't have a totem yet. That would mean that she simply wouldn't have that extra Aspiration yet and we wouldn't have to worry about building a totem yet. Finding a totem spirit (or perhaps making a deal with a familiar one like her touchstone spirit buddy) could be a fun part to play out as part of making a pack. The other player could also potentially act as members and help strengthen the totem, if they were willing.

If you're ok with it I think skipping the totem for now would be best. Maybe when I save enough xp to build a totem I could just buy it solo and the others could benefit from it? I'm not sure how rare Xp is in this system but I don't think people would want to buy in on someone else's totem.

All of my crunch should be completed aside from armor. I'm sorry but I couldn't find what page that was listed on or if we start with any at all.

The Faceless GM |

Weapons and armor start on pg. 168 of the Werewolf book, though they should be standardized through the different books. Other types of equipment are listed in the same section a couple of pages later.
You can basically start with any gear that makes sense for your character, as long as you have enough Resources dots to match it's Availability rating. I may institute a small houserule I use a lot with CoD that everyone gets a free Resources dot unless you have a character reason to be destitute.
Also, I have some of the details worked out about the general supernatural scene around Nightwood that I've had for a while, but I think it slipped my mind to share them. Feel free to ask questions and I'll share my thoughts.

Booping in. I think my crunch is done. Still need to get you a fuller backstory, though.
