Jethro is alarmed to hear that they are being followed and uses another charge of his wand of mage armor to bolster his defenses.

If we wish to travel at night, Jethro will cast light (he has normal human vision). However, he is in favor of camping for the night and, given that they are being followed, having three people on each watch.

Witch's Winter Holiday

The Pathfinders press onwards for the time being, using as little light as possible to navigate through the jungle. Banon keeps an eye out for whatever is following them, and every minute or so catches a glimpse of scaly hide or leathery wings that quickly disappear through the trees.

Continue hiking or make camp? Three votes moves the party.

Witch's Winter Holiday

Then it is decided.

The Pathfinders stop for the evening, find a relatively open patch of jungle to set up bedrolls and tents. As Alaric, Tere, Thran, and Banon (and Shredder) settle in for some sleep, the jungle looms ominously around Telka and Jethro.

Please include in your next post (if applicable) if you would prefer to sleep in medium armor and be fatigued in the morning, or if you would prefer to remove your armor for the night.

After several hours, the hairs on the back of Jethro's neck tingle, as if some spider sixth sense is warning him of danger!

If I have to wake the others by shaking them, I'll do so to the one nearest me - Alaric. If this doesn't use Jethro's standard action then he will ready to cast color spray (DC 17) at anything hostile (unless it appears mindless) that comes into view, being careful to avoid hitting his comrades.

Looks like everyone except Shredder is awake at this point. Remember that you are effectively prone (excluding Jethro and Telka).

Jethro:

It might appear similar to a dragon, but this creature is a wyvern - and a young one at that. While they share some traits in common with true dragons (such as a wide variety of natural weapons and immunity to both sleep and paralysis), wyverns are much more opportunistic creatures who prefer to use the poison in their stinger to weaken their prey before swooping back down for the kill. When pressed into a corner, wyverns fight back fiercely by grabbing their foes in their powerful jaws and raking at them with their strong legs.

Telka:
Knowledge (arcana): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

It looks like a dragon!

Alaric shrugs, which looks a little odd on a dinosaur, and then he starts running forward. He leaps up at the wyvern, talons and claws at the ready!

Tere feels unsteady on his feet as the poison continues wrecking havoc on his system, and he hopes the antitoxin will help him resist the rest of the poison's damage. As Banon and Jethro prepare counterattacks should the wyvern show its face again, Alaric decides to take the fight to the dragon. He races across the jungle, the plants parting before him like waves on the shore as he launches himself into the air, claws and teeth bare to the wind!

If wyverns had the facial musculature to appear surprised, this one would be. But it gladly takes advantage of Alaric's distraction and snaps at him...

You dont really need to put the grappled penalty into your attack rolls when hitting the thing grappling you as it is also taking -4 dex so they wash out. Unless of course I GM is applying the dex penalty to its AC separately. That could well mean the 17 bite hits if it hasnt been applied.
