Three dishevelled young men sit around a small campfire, passing around a small glass water pipe. They all take heavy pulls from the thick smoke within. Their eyes are glassy and unfocused and they clearly have no idea that you are there.

The men look at Andor with tight expectant faces. They have weapons to hand but cling more protectively to their pipe.

As they wait for a reply, one takes another deep drag from the milky vapour.

The notes suggest that the slave operations here may be more than they appear, and the word “Lamashtu?” appears in the final entry before the writing abruptly breaks off.

The map shows a path through the qanat.

It does not show where the tunnels which are not on the path lead, or how they might twist and, they are just marked as 'not this way'.

In essence, you have a route laid down by Othine. You can choose to follow it, or try to pick up the slavers' tracks again.

As you continue down the tunnel, you round a corner and find more evidence of people living in the tunnels. See maps, Slide 6.
A small, black iron cauldron sits over a bed of faintly glowing coals. The wall above the small cauldron is scribbled with measurements and recipes. On the floor next to the cauldron rests an alembic and a small open chest filled with various alchemical substances and regents. A sleeping pallet lies in another corner. Next to the pallet sits an old crate stuffed with cactus leaves, their blossoms still bursting with seedpods.

Suddenly, a slim vial arcs through the air toward Brallenera and, as it does so, a woman appears. Clearly she has thrown the vial.

The vial explode on Brallenera's armour, engulfing her in flame which also reaches out to lick against Xim's beard.

Parry/Reposte
In case Andor is attacked he uses 'Opportune Parry' and parries by expending an AoO to parry and spends a panache point (so if the attack roll of the opponent is lower than Andor's parry then the opponent does not hit and Andor could potentially reposte)

Opportune Parry: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (10) + 12 = 22

In case Andor successfully parries he uses 'Reposte' as an immediate action to attack the opponent that attacked him.

Sorry, Roderick, with you in the trough, cover from the table, cover from the doorway and Andor in the way, I'm calling that an impossible shot. To move things on I'll transfer it to Sehema, you can still exclude everyone.

Roderick's bomb explodes on the woman's chest and the flames bring her to the edge of death.
Sehema is unconscious, dying, on fire and very close to death.

The three addicts, cornered and with their supplier dead, surrender instantly. They throw there weapons to the ground. The one with the red turban falls to his knees and begs for mercy, pawing at Andor's legs. The one in the green shirt stares blankly at Sehema's charred body, muttering, "No, no, no, no..." while the last one with the wooden teeth vomits and shakes.

End of initiative but if you want to save Sehema then you have six seconds to do so.
