Andor Katsu |
Andor follows Zadim.
Stealth: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
GM Elberion |
After a further 400ft, the party reaches another junction.
Here the tunnel intersects with a wider route. This path is 15ft wide and 12ft high. The tunnel is not level however, instead two 5ft wide ledges flank a 5ft wide trough that goes down 4ft.
The tracks lead west again. They show the passage of many humanoids.
You no longer need to roll any more survival checks to follow the tracks unless you enter different terrain or something disrupts the tracks.
Incidentally, the grey circles on the map are well-heads. So far all except the one you came down have been blocked or sealed in some way. You may assume all you pass are like that unless I state otherwise.
Andor Katsu |
Andor suggests to follow the tracks.
Roderick Xim |
Roderick continues as well with an occasional puff from his pipe.
”Much more expansive than I would have estimated for a well. “

@ GM - Would you like us to continue to make Stealth or Perception checks?
GM Elberion |
I will roll over stealth checks for the tunnels. Perception checks, I will call for if needed.

The woman cries out in pain as the rapier slides under her armour, "Who are you? Which company do you work for?!"
Zadim - Pregen |
Zadim rapidly follows Andor, drawing his blades, but he stops short of using them.
Double move
As he gets closer to the woman, and somewhat off put by her query, he eyes her more closely. He looks particularly for any signs of tattoos matching the descriptions the party was given.
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16
What exactly was the code we were to speak? he ponders. "Take her hand", we were told, and then to speak thusly, "Only in silence the word, Only in dark the light, Only in dying life: Bright the hawk's flight, On the empty sky.'
Yet, still unsure of the woman's identity, he holds his tongue at present, moving in silence.
Andor Katsu |
Andor hesitates to attack again and readies to thrust his Rapier should she be hostile.
”We are the ones who will bring down this slaving operation! Who are you!?“

Andor studies his target intently and attacks with his Rapier.

Alas, a bit too tight for bombs, gents. I am assuming you have her duly handled now.
He advances, avoiding the combative woman, and attempts to heal Andor with a wand.

All magic items not claimed Andor carries in bag of holding.
GM Elberion |
Can we have an individual just say that they are the one who searched to corpse. Otherwise I am going to have to wait each time before I post.
Alternatively, if a corpse is trapped or disease-ridden or takes over your mind or whatever (this one isn't but, y'know, Pathfinder...) I can just have it affect every party member?
Otherwise, I will have to wait for somebody to declare it each time and that will slow down the pbp.

Kyra takes a peek at the tattoo, assuming Roderick makes mention of it.
"By the dawnflower's light, we've got ourselves a follower of Lamashtu on our hands, demon mother of monsters. Gnolls included."
Her face turns serious.
"Now an individual follower is a nuisance but, considering their patroness is a dark demonic deity of -beasts-, i must speculate where there is one, there are more."
*peers at everyone*
"Oft beasts live in packs."
Zadim - Pregen |
"Your insight, as always, is well-appreciated." Zadim says with a bow to the cleric. Turning to the others, he adds, "Let us be moving, but you would all do well to heed Kyra's words."
Zadim will search the bodies in the future. He will not claim any of the recent loot. Ready to move on.

Assume that all loot goes into Andor’s bag of holding. If someone wants a piece then just take it.
Andor continues following the path.
GM, she didn’t have anything that we could use, right? The Monopoly money wasn’t clue? Andor moves on with Stealth.
GM Elberion |
No, I just picked that up from another GM. PFS players don't need to approach treasure in the same way as regular players and I am just acknowledging that.
As you follow the tracks, the passages branch several times but the route you are led on follows the broadest path.
Eventually, you enter a passage which bears signs of visitors from the world above in the form of scribbled lines of graffiti that gradually evolve into fullblown murals portraying twisted, nightmarish caricatures and jumbled rants against the city’s Pactmasters. Farther along, the corridor becomes littered with broken bottles, scraps of paper stained with brownish resin, and the stink and stains of urine.
and several empty cloth pouches containing a salty powder: DC20 craft (alchemy)
Roderick Xim |
Roderick examines the resins.
Fascinating. What is this, I wonder.
alchemy: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18
Taking a closer look, this appears to be pesh, of all things.
Of course, "pesh" can refer to both to the bulbous, vibrant green cacti that flourish in the Katapeshi deserts and to the narcotic distilled from their milk.
Andor Katsu |

Andor nods and with a bitter voice he says "Drugs are often used by slavers to make slaves obedient! Look here ... I found several empty cloth pouches containing a salty powder. This is nagri, a bitter salt used in the pesh refinement process. If we can stop the production of this drug it would be of personal interest to me!"
Andor really searches the place and then tries to support to see where tracks might lead.
Survival: 1d20 ⇒ 6
GM Elberion |
Kermit peers further down the tunnel and moves along a slight curve. A faint syrupy odour lingers in the air and a dirty blanket stretches across the corridor ahead, creating a ragged partition. A flickering, fire-like glow emanates from the other side.
Andor Katsu |
Andor moves forward with stealth and tries to check carefully what hides behind the blanket.
