Wrath Maps

You just squeaked in.

Nik's plan to grasp them with tentacles works wonderfully grasping each of the monsters and putting the squeeze on them.

Everyone but Nik:
Nik then promptly turns 90 degrees and plummets to the bottom of the Salience.

Nik:
Fall damage: 5d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 4, 5, 5) = 24

Nik manages to get 5ft back before Yggdrasil seems to rear up on its own clamping down on Nik's feet and tossing him off the branch. He plummets 50ft before landing at the bottom of the Salience.

Nik says as he falls, impacts, and then struggles to recover himself from a pile of crumpled Nik.

Nik flails in the air for a split second before remembering the magic word for "Feather Fall!"
He repeatedly gasps for air while gently floating the rest of the way down into the probably holy place that he has so recently desecrated.

Careful, those stairs descend 50' over 10'. That technically makes them a "ship ladder," so I'm not sure if a climb check will be needed.

it's a 50' drop to the branch. Stairs are only down into the scar. 30' down. Also, depending on the exact meaning of that oval, I think they're 20' long? Probably still quite steep, but not 5:1 steep ^^

Nik opens is mouth to answer, then closes it. After giving himself a one handed pat-down he shouts back up "I think so."
Completely ignoring/forgetting about the visage that is entangled not far enough away on the same branch.

@Conor: I moved you 45' left since you either got +5 move speed for your first move, or +5 move speed for your second, depending on if you delayed until after Jek or not.
@anyone curious: Shamblers would've waited for Jek to move, so they get nothin' from his flag boost xD

Huh- why do I feel the urge to roll when I'd succeed on a nat1? xD

Nik, quickly recovering from his hyperventilation, casts Fly on himself. He flies back up to the branch with (almost) everyone else and resists the urge to call out to Rinika (and give away her position). Instead he remembers his shamblers and calls for them.

Black Tentacles +already grappled: 1d20 + 7 + 4 + 1 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 7 + 4 + 1 + 5 = 25 well, if 22 squeaks by, 25 should be plenty ^^
I'm so glad that grappling is a weak point for these guys @_@

Meanwhile, the tentacles maintain their grips on the visages that haven't broken free yet, and continue to squeeze the unlife out of them slowly.
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 another moderately lucky damage roll ^^

@GM: btw, Nik isn't landing on the tree again just yet. But would gravity make him want to orient himself correct-side up according to his teammates' perspective? Or is this branch (twig?) still unwilling to apply gravity to the defiler of probably-holy-tree-scars.

right. Though if you use the scrollbar at the bottom of the map, you'll see that they're almost on the map :D
Also, the brown lines are the ... outline of the shadow of the upper branch? So it's rather narrow compared to the lower branch, being narrower than the scar in the lower branch (which is the black oval with the stairs on each end).
In case anyone has forgotten about the spell effects:
the dotted circles represent the area that is under the effects of entanglement (on the lower branch), Nik auto IDs spells of that level :3
The purple dots are supposed to wrap around the upper branch completely in a 20' long band, Nik cast Black Tentacles, so he can explain that too xD
And the little black cloud outline is an ... well Nik can explain later that it's an Aggressive Stormcloud, which is very much like a flying version of Nik's Flaming Sphere :3

The gravity from the larger branch from the Salience dominates here. It's the same reason that you weren't walking up the wall in the fortress carved into the tree in Crux. Considering Yggdrasil's connection to a mostly chaotic pantheon, you can expect a little wibildy wobildy gravity.

Nik squeezes the unlife out of two of the creatures.

The number of Visages outside of Nik's rubbery black tentacles continues to grow as they fly around the battlefield. They are careful not to approach any tree branches closely.

One stares intently at Rinika and commands, "Kill the Ratatosk" The others look like they are just observing the battlefield.

Rinika or sense motive 15:
Rinika needs to give me a DC 20 will save vs Dominate Person. I'm unconvinced that the above command is against Rinika's nature.

You're in range for both moves, so I moved you 50' :3
Also, moving more than 10' gives you +1 AC
Also, the PfE spell doesn't stack with your Automatic Ability Boost to deflection or resistance, so it only gives a net +1 to AC and saves vs evil guys instead of the +2 mentioned...

Nik casts a spell before reaching above his head to tap the upside-down (or right-side up?) Conor on the shoulder, giving him Protection from Evil.

In a vicious display of her hunting prowess the cat girl murders the squirrel man. Nik continues to carry the combat by having a ranged option and crushing two more visages. Meanwhile Conor walks off the branch. He clearly saw the branch fall out from underneath him suddenly, right after being tapped by Nik.

Falling vs Conor: 5d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 3, 2, 6) = 18

Several eagles of unusual size appear to be approaching at a fast clip.
