"The praeda this godsforsaken place provide continues to grow. Some of these are of immediate use, and we should see them used."
Vinas puts his hand on Atium's shoulder, "Maybe nothing here, but I suspect soon." He then follows after Aishe.

Aishe Danior |

Then he turns to Aishe. You see anything I can bash or destroy? That gate still needs to be taken out.
”Nothin’ yet. Maybe up in the North.” Aishe responds to Atium.
"The praeda this godsforsaken place provide continues to grow..."
Aishe raises an eyebrow at the word, but shrugs, guessing its probably meaning from context. ”Yes, it is dark.” he mutters as he heads to the north.

More powerful magical treasures concealed within niches behind them: a scarab of protection and +5 bracers of armor with fire resistance.
Vanyan will identify the items and offer them about, but is also interested in the bracers...but also realizes they should also be sold. How much fire resistance 5 or 10?
He will say little and follow Aishe to the north.

Tessenarin |

"Well, at least we have done one good thing this far down. We have helped a creature escape that had been trapped and tortured. One hopes that counts for something. We should divide these treasures before we go on. Some of them are useful. Vanyan, is this rod helpful to you?"

![]() |

Gathering your treasures you head north. Desks, tables, and worn plush chairs fill most of the floor in this large chamber. Doors to the north and south open into numerous smaller chambers.
The small chambers are private crypts that functioned as apartments for the Whispering Tyrant’s elite. Minions shared the common rooms for reading, study, debate, and—quite often—frustrated fist-fights after spending centuries trapped in close proximity. As those trapped within were undead, they had no need for bathing or dining facilities. Those undead who relied on blood, life force, or other substances provided by the living were either sealed within their tombs or destroyed outright.
Each of the small crypts here is roughly identical, allowing for personal tastes. Stone furniture has been rendered marginally more comfortable with threadbare pillows and blankets. Only a few have any sort of sleeping accommodations—normally a sarcophagus. Four rooms each have a single hole recently blasted into their walls, as though to access small objects sealed within the walls.
Inside the room is a lich. Beside her sand a trio of bone devils, each trapped within a runed circle. A fourth rune (empty) stands in in front of the lich as she draws invisible runes in the air. The spell seems to fail as the lich curses. "Too many years down here. Damn spell atrophy, I need to practice." She doesn't seem to notice you and the bone devils just seem more intrigued by the situation to say anything themselves.

1d20 + 26 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 26 + 2 = 38 Perception
1d20 + 16 ⇒ (11) + 16 = 27 Know (Planes) - bone devils
Vanyan pauses when he sees what he sees, then backs up to explain what he sees, which is bone devils and a lich.
”No surprise that there are lots of undead around here, but them boner devils, that ain’t good.”

Vanyan Kaleseder |

Obviously, Vanyan isn't going to go talk, because that would be awful. He looks at the more violent or voiceful people do either attack or talk...but something please.
Vanyan will explain what he knows about bone devils. Anything from the check above, GM Tyranius?

Aishe Danior |

Aishe kneels and raises his crossbow to line up the shot.
He waits for others to talk, as he's not much of a talker either. Nor does he particularly want to talk to a lich. Smart folk, liches. They'll talk your ear off while planning something... unpleasant.

Vanyan Kaleseder |

Did you move up Tess or are you in the back?
With Tess opening up his yapper-trapper, Vanyan readies for trouble by staying out of sight..

![]() |

Vanyan knows Bone Devil's are large outsiders. DR unless the weapon has good qualities. Immune to Fire and poison and resistant to acid, cold and most spells.
The interrogators and inquisitors of devilkind, bone devils delight in torturing those weaker than themselves—mortals, souls, and other devils alike. Born of ancient heresies mired amid the Styx-fed swamps of Stygia, Hell’s fifth layer, bone devils—also known as osyluths—enforce infernal order and the will of the archdevils. Powerful fiends favor these terrifying sadists for their unwavering devotion to Hell’s laws and the commands of their masters, as osyluths eagerly report the disobedience of other devils—regardless of standing—and take to the craft of torture like morbid artists. Diabolists risk much to bargain with them, as bone devils glean many infernal secrets amid their nightmarish calcified torture hives. These devils especially delight in journeying to the mortal plane, as their cruel talents and service to evil spellcasters often mean gaining much valuable information, which they might hold in their perfect memories for centuries before reporting back to their diabolical masters.
In battle, an osyluth uses quickened invisibility after each attack to confuse foes. Many osyluths carry twisted and eerie bone weapons, but these tools are more for torture and intimidation than actual combat.
Osyluths tower over lesser devils at 9 feet tall—though their tails and fearsome but useless wings make them appear much larger—and weigh upward of 400 pounds.
The undead elven woman begins another ritual as Tessenarin yells at the top of his lungs. he spell sizzles and sends sparks across the chamber to hit the walls. The bone Devils snicer in a guttural sort of way as she grinds her teeth. "Leave me in peace or I will disintegrate you where you stand."

Aishe Danior |

Aishe itches to open fire, particularly as he's the only one brave enough to actually be in the room. He's not feeling very brave at the moment though, concerned about disintegration rays and invisible enemies.
But he holds off. He waits to see what the skilled Tessenarin can learn from this creature before they kill it. Or at least try to.
After all, it has probably been down here a loooooong time. It might know where to find what they seek. He keeps his breathing even, and his crossbow ready.

This is now a swift action FYI
He then gestures and sings a word in his song and drop a glitterdust in the 10' area in front of Atium, hoping to catch all of the creatures that might be here. He pulls out his rapier in case of up close trouble.
Also, if I can't actually see the spell caster, I would try to move to make sure I see her. I can't access Google docs on work computer.

The average on-looker might this that an ivory statue, probably immune to smells. But Atium? Shouldn't he be gagging? Or his ability to make noxious gases of his own -give him some sort of gag prevention.

Tessenarin |

spellcraft: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (12) + 17 = 29
Tesseanrin sees that stinking cloud coming and thinks Not today.
Everyone listening to his song is pretty sure he emphasizes a "no" as he sings. He expends more rounds of his performance (along with a third level spell) and counter spells the stinking cloud as the lich casts it. The cloud dissipates before it even forms.
He then casts "grease" on himself and moves up.

Vinas uth Antimanes |

FORT: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (9) + 20 = 29
Vinas rushes through the cloud, not worrying about its effects. He does his best to close distance. He adds a spell to the mix as the lich is nearly in reach. Cast Litany of Righteousness.

Aishe moves out of the noxious fumes, just barely clearing the minor cloud with his action. Once on the other side, he sees the wall of ice and swears. That’s not something he can help with. So he moves along the ice wall to a more advantageous position, in case someone can bring it down.

Vanyan Kaleseder |

Round 3
Vanyan flies in and takes keen stock of the situation.
"That's a wall of ice there, ain't it? Huh," Vanyan identifies the obvious easily. He debates how much of his precious magics to expend against it, versus letting the blades and bows of the party to blow a hole in it.
He flies closer, then flies closer again. He's in position now to help out better.

The bone devil invisibly flies about the room, tossing forth another wall of ice in front of Vinas.
