I'll say Old Ironside or wherever the majority of the smuggling is, an illicit street doctor might get threatened once in a while but he has friends in low places who don't want their source of needles to be injured.

I'm thinking I live in Old ironsides as well. It sounds like a dim and dismal place, just how I like my light levels. It also affords her opportunity to help with healing people on occasion, though only the most desperate would go to see Lady Bones. It also would help explain the nickname, she probably got accosted by some handsy thugs who though the coldly gorgeous nearly naked lady would make a good play thing...until she summoned her armor of bones and proved she knew how to use that scythe on them while snarling at them in Necril.

Faithe: The problem with living in Old Ironside is that it's part of Smokeside, which is the half of the city where magic doesn't work.

There is a portion of Skyside's south end that's close to the Tinwound Hydroplant. The hydroplant is a blend of a water purification facility and a mechanical power plant for Alkenstar. The neighborhood it's located in is decidedly more rundown and smoggy to live in, thanks to the facility's own machinery.
I'd say that'd fit in well with your idea.

Just a question. Do I have to prepare spells outside of an Anti-Magic Zone (AMZ)? Due to the nature of my (SU) Familiar I would assume yes.

Scorpion Whips: How do scorpion whips work? There are several published sources of scorpion whips, and they seem inconsistent.
Change the last sentence in the Ultimate Combat scorpion whip's description to say "If you are proficient with both scorpion whips and whips, you can use a scorpion whip in either the normal way, as a typical light performance weapon, or as a whip. When you use a scorpion whip as a whip, it is otherwise equivalent to a whip, but it deals lethal damage and can harm creatures regardless of their armor bonus." This change will be reflected in future errata.
What this means is that the scorpion whip is normally a light performance weapon with no other special weapon features, but that someone with both proficiencies can also use it as a whip, in which case it acts precisely like a whip in all ways (one-handed weapon, attack out to 15 feet, provoke an attack of opportunity, can use the Whip Mastery feats, etc) except that it deals lethal damage and can harm creatures regardless of their armor bonus.

I usually rely on Google! "[thing] Paizo FAQ" is what led me down the right path this time, I believe.

Jase’s post brings up a point I had made an assumption about but might not be accurate! I had assumed two wounds per case: one in the body, one in the neck, which would make this one a strange case since there were many stabs. A rereading says that I may have made an ass out of u and me. Do we know if previous cases also had numerous wounds, per the autopsy reports?

The crime scene has been abandoned for now, yes. Tuco, Jase, and Alorea are out and about, asking folks if they saw anything and gathering info on Verne, while Joie, Faithe, and Daerokh are questioning the neighbor.
