Pangea is curious as to why Envar would not have emptied these bottles.
Wondering if they are not an illusion, Pangea taps one--
"OUCH!"
The android is zapped!
3 non lethal damage
Startled, Pangea nearly jumps out of its boots-- and then it starts laughing too.
Later, Pangea catches the passcard.
"Who wants to log in?"
Pangea has +9 computers, so can either try to hack away, or gives an automatic +2

![]() |

Nole would like to lead. If anybody else would like to jump in on the aid, let me know. You can also totally talk Nole down.
Computers + circumstance: 1d20 + 5 + 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 + (6) + 5 = 36
I think I do it. HAHA! MAAAX!
"Thanks buddy! Hoverboard here I come!" Nole says as he hops up onto the desk and begins fiddling with the computer.

![]() |

Pangea goes over to help Nole.
"No, that's the delete button, enter is... here."
+2

![]() |

Shaking its fingers, that still hurt from the trapped bottle, Pangea nods: "I'm sure she did it on purpose. She's a tricky one that mother of his."

GM bigboom |

Tap tap tap! Click click click! The computer should be absolute child's play for Nole to bypass as he taps and clicks away at it. But it doesn't seem to register his commands after the first time. Nor the second time. Nor the third time. It's getting quite frustrating....
Pangea goes over to help Nole.
"No, that's the delete button, enter is... here."
"It's an older model keyboard. The letters are all out of place. Thanks! Who'da though it would be in the middle!"
And Nole gets past being like a kid going to a school for the gifted, then accesses the computer!! You find the secured files you've been tasked to recover and download them with ease!
You don't have time to examine the data closely, but from your brief glance through, you can tell that Arch Energy is essentially a front that funds clandestine meetings between the members of its board of directors. Each of the directors is hidden by a false identity. This must be the data Historia-7 is looking for but a dedicated team of data analysts will be needed to sift through all the information.
Mission accomplished! Well... if you can get off this station alive that is..... dun Dun DUN!!!!
What do you guys do now...??

![]() |

"D@#M!" Nole shouts. "Just missed it. Guess I'll have to ask Tess to build me one. Sorry Pangea, I guess you can't ride it later." Nole puts the USB stick (I assume?) in his cheek pouch (which is water tight. He's ensured it several times). Nole then stands up and heads out to the balcony, giving Envar the card. "Just missed it. Oh well. That's eDock for ya! Well, we really should be going now."

![]() |

"Hey, Envar! Ever been on a gladiator ship? Come with us, we'll take your for a spin!"

GM bigboom |

"Well, we really should be going now."
Envar responds, "Righty-o! You've seen everything worth seeing. So hey, maybe I'll book you guys for another match next week? I know a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy who said something about some little halfling who claims he can wrestle down a dragon! Imagine that! Wrestle down a dragon?? A halfling?!? He must be hopped up on drugs, I tell ya! But maybe I can book him and his team versus you guys. I'll give y'all a buzz!!!"
"Hey, Envar! Ever been on a gladiator ship? Come with us, we'll take your for a spin!"
"Oh really?? Yah! That sounds like fun!! Sure thing!!" He gets onto comms and says, "Hey Kim baby!! Yah, it's me, Envar! Guess what!?? Oh that's right! You know me so well!!! Party it is!!! Gladiator ship. Yes, that's right!! Us? Pay?? OH PUH-LEEEZE!!! Of COURSE the ship owners are covering the entire cost!!
"Yes, bring your man Kanye and all your sisters and brothers and their plus ones!! Yup, Kourtney, Scott, Kloe, Kendall, Kylie, Rob, Tristen, Travis, and so on! Oh yes, each of them should definitely bring one hundred of their closest friends!
"Yah, probably about... oh I dunno... two, three thousand people total! Fit? Of course they'll all fit!! The party hosts are primo people baby!! They're big time gladiators!! Their name? The Mumbly Manholes or something like that....
"GREAT!!! See you in an hour!! Love you baby!!!"
Envar turns to Pangea. "All set! We've got the Carbashians coming with like 10,000 of their closest friends! Gotta keep up with them, amirite?!?!? Gonna be one helluva booze cruise on your ship!!! Let's go!!! WOOHOOO!!!!"
And he leads you to the elevator.
What have you all gotten yourselves into???

![]() |

Slightly distraught, Pangea raises an eyebrow... and follows along towards the elevator.

Once he gets word that Nole has finished the job, Gamuzali follows Envar back into his mother's office. As the drug-addled lashunta jabbers on about the party he's planning on their ship, Gamuzali forces a laugh. "Ha. Ha. Ha. Great idea," he says through gritted teeth.
The vesk takes a deep breath and stretches his arms high. "Man, I gotta tell ya! You are a party machine! Listen, I'm all down for keeping this thing going, but I got a pretty major idea. You pretty much showed the people around here who the party king is, but there's some pretty massive party animals back on Absalom Station. Maybe we show those dweebs in the Eye what a real party looks like?"

![]() |

"Whoa whoa Envar man. The whole Carbashian clan! We are definitely going to need a bigger ship. You have anything you can loan your favorite set of gladiators?"

![]() |

"woah woah woah Envar. yeah. They definitely won't all fit on the ship. We were hoping for some, like, smaller scale thing. We may be big shot gladiators, but we definitely aren't, well, full on party animals."

![]() |

"A super VIP private party... just for YOU!!!"

GM bigboom |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Envar only half pays attention to what everyone is saying while he's staring at his comms unit flipping through the latest social media postings. As you exit the elevators to the docking area, Envar says without looking up, "OH please!! You all are just being too humble!!! High rollers such as yourselves!?!?! Don't sweat it, I'm sure your....."
And stops talking mid-sentence as he looks up and sees your ship. His jaw drops a little while he pulls down his sunglasses a bit to look at your ship with his own eyes. "Look fellas, I'll admit, I'm high most of the time. And I'm probably seeing things that aren't real eighty percent of the time. Like that like this family of purple and yellow striped centaur acrobats balancing on top of each other to form a period next to me..." He points at nothing but thin air to his left. "But even I can tell there ain't no party gonna happen on that ship of yours.
"Welp, big arena fight next week. Be in touch!" And in a flash, he's gone!
Now if this were a homebrew game, oh the shenanigans that'd happen to your ship..... muahaha!!
You head to your ship, fire it up and detach from Brilliance station. But shortly after you depart, a pair of security fighters approach! They hail you saying, "Power down now!! Or we will open fire!!"
I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume you guys don't power down.
Starship Combat Initiated!!!
Round 1 initiative:
Rin Jabo's Piloting: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 9 + 1 = 27
Security Fighters' Piloting: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 9 + 1 = 16
Rin has won initiative. I've moved the security fighers - they're heading straight for you!!! Everyone may declare your actions and take your rolls!
Rin, when you move your ship, please use the green arrow to indicate your flight path. Also, if you wish to roll initiative yourself for the next round, feel free to do that as a part of your next post. Otherwise, I'll roll initiative for you each round.

![]() |

"Looks like we're doing this," Gamuzali shouts as he powers up the coils on the turret-mounted coilgun. "Keep me in range, Rin, but feel free to give us a little distance. I've got the room for it."
Once Rin has maneuvered the ship into position, Gamuzali swings the turret around into position and opens fire on the nearest security ship.
I'm going to take one of those two computer bonuses to give us a better chance at hitting here.
Coilgun: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 2 + 1 = 7 Damage: 4d4 ⇒ (3, 3, 1, 2) = 9
Not that it helped... Whomp whomp!

![]() |

"Gotta love that guy! He's a riot. I'm coming back here... oh? Or not! WE'RE UNDER ATTACK!"
Pangea will be in Engineering (if okay for all)
Pangea will start banging away on the pipes, to Divert power.
"Where do I try and send the juice?"
increase speed by +2 ; +2 to science officer ; weapons have 1's become 2's ; (can divert to shields, but I act before gunnery so only next round)
+12 Engineering so 12+1 = 13 and auto-success.

![]() |

"Give it to Nole so he can give us a better idea of what we're up against," Gamuzali shouts back to Pangea.
Personal recommendation would be to boost the Science Officer early on so he can scan the enemy ships and tell us about their load-out. See what arcs we really want to avoid most and that kind of thing.

GM bigboom |

"Look fellas, I'll admit, I'm high most of the time. And I'm probably seeing things that aren't real eighty percent of the time. Like that like this family of purple and yellow striped centaur acrobats balancing on top of each other to form a period next to me..."
Gah!! The typos!! This was supposed to read: "Like this family of purple and yellow striped centaur acrobats balancing on top of each other to form a pyramid next to me..."
FYI Tolmu, Diplomacy to encourage is actually just a straight up DC15 not DC17. See the starship action sheets linked in my GM bigboom header or at the top the campaign.

![]() |

Typos? He was stoned is all! Great RP
Pangea diverts juice to overclock the computers.
+2 to Science Officer

GM bigboom |

All the starship DCs got FAQ'd. See here: CLICK
So you can reference the sheets I have linked for easy reference.

Nole scans the ship:
"Umm. There's a red thingy moving towards the green thingy. Let me see If I can tell what it is!"
Computers to scan: 1d20 + 5 + 1d6 ⇒ (18) + 5 + (4) = 27
"Yep. It's security ships, they've got..." (insert details here)

Slamming the controls to the port, Rin maneuvers the Pegasus around with the engines on full throttle. "I hear you big man, let's get all the guns in the mix as well!"
Dodging some small debris Rin is pleased to hear the coil gun kick off. "Anyone know what we are up against here? How tough are these fighters?"
Piloting Next Round
Piloting: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16

GM bigboom |

Rin, aside from your piloting initiative for next round, it appears you forgot to take a piloting action for this round. For now, I'll bot you in line below attempting an evade stunt.
Round 1 Results
Engineering Phase:
Helm Phase:
Speed 8; Maneuverability good (turn 1)
AC 16; TL 13
HP 35/35; DT —; CT 7
Shields basic 20 (forward 5, port 5, starboard 5, aft 5)
Attack (Forward) light laser cannon (2d4), micromissile
battery (2d6)
Attack (Aft) light laser cannon (2d4)
Power Core Pulse Gray (100 PCU); Complement 2
Gunnery Phase:
Cumulative Damage Dealt to purple fighter: 0
Cumulative Damage Dealt to red fighter: 0
Pegasus Status:
HP: 44/55
Shields (F/P/S/A): 0/10/10/10
Power Core glitching (-2 to most engineering actions)
Round 2 initiative:
Security Fighters' Piloting: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 9 + 1 = 12
Rin wins initiative! I've moved the fighter ships - they split off in two directions in an attempt to flank you! Everyone may declare your actions and take your rolls!

![]() |

"Aye aye, cap'n!"
Pangea yanks a wrench out, and slips down the pole to the PCU.
You hear him banging away...
Engineer DC13 w. 1d20+12 = 13 minimum, so auto-success
The android pops its greasy head out: "Patched!"

![]() |

Gamuzali shouts up to Rin, "Looks like they're not armed on the port and starboard! Let's hit 'em where they're vulnerable!"
For his own activity, the vesk focuses and utilizes the ship's targeting computers to aid his shot with the coilgun as he fires once again at the purple fighter.
Going to Fire at Will from the turret and one of our Light Laser Cannons, assuming we'll have a target in one of the front three arcs.
Coilgun, computer bonus, FaW: 1d20 + 2 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (10) + 2 + 1 - 4 = 9 Damage: 4d4 ⇒ (3, 1, 2, 4) = 10
Light Laser Cannon, computer bonus, FaW: 1d20 + 2 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (17) + 2 + 1 - 4 = 16 Damage: 2d4 ⇒ (4, 2) = 6
Frustrated at the small amount of damage he is able to do, Gamuzali shouts out to the acting captain, "Tolmu! Come give me a hand down here, I need another hand on guns so we can actually land a decent hit on these guys."

![]() |

"All front. Crap! Gotta quickly rebalance those shields aaaaand..."
computers: 1d20 + 5 + 1d6 ⇒ (15) + 5 + (4) = 24
"Done! Would you mind charging up the shields again?"
30 split evenly. That puts 7 in each quadrant and 9 up front.

GM bigboom |

Botting Rin down below.

Security Fighters' Piloting: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 9 + 1 = 13
Rin wins initiative yet again!!
The red fighter closes in but the purple fighter swings around and comes at you head-to-head for a flyby attack! ; Purple Fighters' Flyby: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 9 + 1 = 13 ; But the fighter's reactions are sluggish as he fails his gutsy move!!
CRB pg 319, Moving Through Other Starships: Gamuzali, due to the failed flyby, in addition to the normal attacks you get during the gunnery phase, you get one extra free attack against the purple fighter's aft arc with any of the ship's weapons.
Everyone may declare your actions and take your rolls!

![]() |

"Ha! They think they can come in that close without getting a shot? Not with THIS vesk on the guns!"
Free shot - Coilgun: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14 Damage: 4d4 ⇒ (3, 3, 2, 3) = 11
After Rin maneuvers the Pegasus into position once again, Gamuzali continues his full-on assault with both the turret and whatever weapons he can bring to bear against it.
Fire at Will on whichever ship is closest, preferring purple if both ships are equidistant.
Coilgun, computer, FaW: 1d20 + 2 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (3) + 2 + 1 - 4 = 2 Damage: 4d4 ⇒ (4, 2, 4, 1) = 11
Light Laser Cannon, FaW: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (20) + 2 - 4 = 18 Damage: 2d4 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2

![]() |

Pangea, seeing that the PCU is patched, moves back up to shield control, and starts diverting power to the shields.
Say 1/2/2/2
So from 9/7/7/7 to 10/9/9/9

Tolmu jumps onto one of the Light Laser Cannons fires....
Light Laser Cannon(Shoot) vs. Purple: 1d20 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 1 + 2 = 13
possible damage vs. Purple: 2d4 ⇒ (4, 2) = 6

![]() |

Rin turns the ship in a slow turn to the port, looking to line up again on the Purple fighter.
Piloting, Evade: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 9 + 1 = 29

GM bigboom |

I'll assume Gamuzali fires at purple and Tolmu fires at red. Rin, just FYI, your arrows are a bit off...that isn't where your ship started from. However, you have more than enough speed to pilot your ship to it's current end spot, so no worries!!
Round 3 Results

Security Fighters' Piloting: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 9 + 1 = 29
The fighters wins initiative! I'll wait until after Rin moves before moving the fighters. Everyone may declare your actions and take your rolls!

Gamuzali wordlessly concentrates on bringing the coilgun to bear on the nearest enemy (or purple if the same distance away), and fires once again.
Coilgun, computer bonus: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 2 + 1 = 18 Damage: 4d4 ⇒ (2, 2, 1, 2) = 7

![]() |

Pangea is still a little wary, and will boost the shields again, to pump them up to max', just in case...
auto-divert for 7 sp but only 3 sp used, to max all over
...and back to the crosswords!

"This is going to hurt"
If possible, Nole will jump on the other Light Laser Cannon to shoot the other ship. If not, he'll computers to target purple's engine again.

Working his way through an S-Turn, Rin maneuvers furiously to keep the fighters off their tail. "Sorry folks, these fighters are a bit quick.". Placing the Pegasus where he thinks the field of fire could be maximized, Rin shouts to the weapons stations. "I've always been partial to light shows, can I order up some fireballs in the night sky?"
Piloting. Evasion: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 9 + 1 = 14
Sorry for arrows last time, it was finicky on my mobile setup

GM bigboom |

No worries about the arrows! I'm impressed you were able to draw arrows at all on a mobile device! Speaking of which I'm on a smartphone now and can't really do the arrows. But I don't want to delay this post so I'll be moving the fighters without drawing their path this turn. Sorry for that! I can look at putting the arrows in later when I'm back at a proper computer.

Security Fighters' Piloting: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 9 + 1 = 16
Rin wins initiative!
Both fighters go straight at you attempting to perform criss-cross flyby attacks on you!
Purple Fighters' Flyby: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 9 + 1 = 30
Red Fighters' Flyby: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 9 + 1 = 30
Like crazed mad daredevils, they pilot their fighters insanely close to your ship and succeed with their flyby! This time, during the gunnery phase, they will be able to fire any weapon at any of your arcs!
(Note that this means their pilots have already taken their actions for round 5 so they cannot evade. Also note that their gunners still have to roll during round 5's gunnery phase to actually hit you so they may still miss.)
Everyone may declare your actions and take your rolls!

![]() |

Pangea is happy to have not boosted weapons, since we were sadly hit.
Again, the android diverts power to the shields.
+7 SP so going from (F/P/S/A): 10/4/4/10 to 10/8/7/10
