Scenario Tags: Starship - Levels 1-4
With tensions rising between two Near Space civilizations, the hosts of historical sites are at risk of being caught in the ensuing conflict's crossfire. The Starfinder Society's been called in to catalogue one such site, believed to be the ruins of a now-defunct hobgoblin empire that may have ended during the Gap. Speeding into the distant star system, the PCs must navigate the politics of the escalating conflict and reach their target.

An OOC place to present your PCs, and to see if you wish to organize/balance the party, purchase things (like spreading out getting tool kits, library chips...).

I've got two possible characters to bring to the table. Either a level 3 soldier or a level 4 envoy. I'll wait a bit to see what others are bringing.

Hello, and fine, we'll see what the party looks like.

Since it looks like we'll be high tier and diplomacy may be useful here, I intend to bring my Solarion.

It is not built with a focus on starship combat. Looks like we have a few pilot options and a couple mechanic options in the group. If you would rather I brought someone that could fill one of those roles better, I do have a couple level 2s available.

I will submit THE Umbral Dawn, yet another Solarion, but one who is superior to all other Solarions in grace and deadliness of form.

Tier:
Whatever you choose, it is probable we'll be playing in Tier 3-4, but possible to go 1-2.
So, first question is: does anyone want to play down in Tier 1-2, if so you have to choose to go w. lvl 3 soldier & lvl 2 operative (then the average is 2.5, so you get to choose your Tier).
Otherwise it'll be Tier 3-4 (and can be Tier 3-4 even w. lvl 3 soldier & lvl 2 operative if you choose to play up).

Choices:

My only feeling is that maybe it is best to go w. the lvl 3 over the lvl 4, to not outshine our lvl 1 too much? But that's only my feeling (and Dariox might not care at all), and no problem with either choice otherwise, totally up to you guys and gals.

Once you've chosen which Tier we go for, and you have the character you are going to play, can you please go to the Sideshow slideshow link that is up on the top-left of this page, and fill out the info' and the perception/init' rolls on Slide 2 ; and pout your mini on Slide 3 (the marching order is just to have an idea, I'll normally let you all place yourselves before each fight... if there are any!).

Note: Ratatat and Lightfoot have the same avatars, so if they both end up both in play, can one of you change their avatar for this game? I'm afraid we'll get confused even if we put different colored rings around your minis.
Unless you RP as twins, and I just put a note up on the maps as to which colored mini is who...

So, let's see if we can decide who plays and at what tier, and I'll start adding the briefing, so that we can get started after the New Year... when move to AG 319!

I do not care about being overshadowed by anyone else, and I am fine with playing in either tier.

Looking over the team, it seems to me no one is particularly pilot-focused. Given that we're going into starship combat I'll bring Ratatat along as he's trained up in piloting.

For starship roles, his piloting is +11 (possibly +12 with a boon) and his gunnery is +8 (possibly +9).

I'll go ahead and change Ratatat's icon so that it doesn't clash with Lightfoot.

If level 3 (soldier / envoy) you play up in Tier 3-4 (more credits, more items on the list!)
if level 2 operative you have the choice of playing up in Tier 3-4 (yes, still more credits, and more items on the list!) or playing down in Tier 1-2 (safer?)

Dariox (the only level 1) is fine with playing up, so the choice is totally open.
