Hello Pathfinder people!
I'm interested in converting The Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh to Savage Worlds (Adventure Edition) and relocating it to the world of Golarion, specifically the Lost Coast region near Magnimar/Sandpoint. Depending on how things go, I might continue into the next adventure in that series, or take a sharp left turn into Burnt Offerings. I am not looking to run an entire AP, but I might hijack certain elements.

Savage Worlds Adventure Edition:
One point to mention during character creation is that EVERY PC starts with a free d4 in the following skills: Athletics (which replaces Climbing/Swimming & Throwing), Common Knowledge, Notice, Persuasion and Stealth. Then you have 12 (no longer 15) additional points to spend on extra skills.
I'll also be using the abstract wealth system. You you start with 500gp to spend on starting equipment as usual (you can now use 1 creation point to get an extra 1000gp for starting gear). Then you have Wealth d6. It's assumed that you can afford mundane items and lodging without having to count coppers on your character sheet, but if you want to splash out on anything extravagant you will be rolling wealth. Your wealth die will go up and down over the course of your adventuring career.
I'm excited to run this game by PbP on the Paizo forums and hope at least 3/5 of you are interested in playing. :p
Any questions, post them here or drop me a PM.

Nope. SW is super easy to pick up. It's not really rules-lite, but it is rules-intuitive. You'll assign attributes a value between d4 and d12. On every roll, you get an extra d6 called a wild die and you pick the better result from the two dice rolled. Dice explode (on the highest number).
You can find free test drive rules that explain everything here: https://www.peginc.com/store/savage-worlds-test-drive-lankhmar/
just bear in mind that the test drive is for the Deluxe edition of SW and there will be a few changes for the new Adventure edition.
I love that SSoSm keeps turning up, such an iconic adventure (I'm currently in a PbP PF version).
Just wanted to say that - I'm in enough games and Savage Worlds doesn't grab me. Have fun!
Thanks! I just hope I can get it off the ground. Fingers crossed.
Good luck in your own game(s)!

This sounds like fun. I have experience with SW and am one of the many backers of SWADE so have access to the rules. Please let me know if this flies and when you plan on starting.
(I can play almost any type of character so I am willing to let the rest of the party select their focus before I build my character.)

That's three interested parties so far. I can run with three, although 4/5 would be better. You folks can start thinking about your novice characters and hopefully a few more players will jump in. I posted an ad over on the Pinnacle forum too, so might get some interest from over there.
Any questions about character creation/concepts?

If there is room for one more, I would love to play. I'm very familiar with SWD. I wasn't aware there was a new edition though. Just out of curiosity, are survival and tracking still 2 different skills? That always drove me crazy.
The character creation rules seemed easy enough to follow. I was thinking of an arcane trickster rogue. Maybe halfling?
Sidenote. Abadar clerics don't get enough love.

Nope, they have been merged under Survival now.
You are welcome to join. Arcane trickster sounds fun.
I have put up first post in the gameplay thread, jump in whenever you like.
Can someone remind me what I have to type to trigger a die roll plz.

If there is still room I would be interested. I have enjoyed all of the Savage worlds I have played. is there still room?
What are other people playing?
You are in! We have a charismatic cleric, an investigative wizard, a ranger type and a trickster rogue. Party balance is less of an issue in SW, just play what you want to play. :)
That's six players. Recruitment is closed until someone drops out.
Test: Fighting: 1d8 ⇒ 7
Wild: 1d6 ⇒ 3

Oh confound!
A curse upon all the forces of space and wibbly-wobbly time that have caused me to be late to this!
EVER have I been a friend to the SW. And, look here, my free copy of the test rules doesn't even need a download. ^_^
Ah, well, consider me an alt, if you ever have the need. =)
(Good thing about giving everyone a free d4 in those skills, tho, since most all characters were gonna get them anyway. Also, yeah, Interface Zero did something similar with the Athletics skill and that worked out quite well.)
