Ah, makes sense...saw where the demon was prone but overlooked where it mentioned him trying to escape...if the GM will allow, Flyn will not fire this round but will retrieve and apply oil of align weapon (good) on his bow (or his arrows, whichever is applicable)...if it's too late to change, after he fires one shot, he'll retrieve the oil from his bandolier and in preparation for applying it next round...

Enjoying the brief respite from demon advances, the group searches and heals. Despite his best effort to spot a demon, Flyn finds another wounded defender laying in a pile of those less fortunate. Mvumbu salivates as she waits for another monster to arrive. Kelumur, well... may just outlast the duration of the spell cast upon him.

"I'm heading back in to the fray. Please accept my thanks." one of the crusaders grumbles as he hands Cygnus another oil of align weapon.

The relative peace is broken as you watch a paladin wearing a rainbow colored cloak and bearing the songbird of Shelyn on his breastplate. He gallops through your battlefield on a white horse, followed by three other warriors bearing the sword of Iomedae on their shields. "Seekers may have perished in that Balor's destruction! Make way! Make way!" He shouts to you as the group gallops by heading toward the flash you saw a few moments earlier.

With a crack and the smell of brimstone, a hideous demon violently appears in the air to the southeast. It looks similar to the vrock you encountered in Thurl's lodge, but this one seems more savage and hmmm, something else...

Kramac will raise holy symbol of Kurgess, the Strong Man, high in the air towards the Vrock. He invokes the power of his god to shield him from harm. Casting Shield of Faith, as a swift action activating the runic tattoo I charged earlier to cast Divine Favor.

Kramac will then lean down and scoop up his cold iron weapon, and direct Jino to interpose the pair between the demon and Kramac's allies.

@Kramac, I have the same boon. Nice use of it.

Cygnus' aerial fireball lights up the sky, but the demon laughs off most of the burn. Kivuli heals the fallen again. Flyn does his best to clear the images but only nets two, despite hitting one of the images dead between the eyes. Kiboko protects and serves. Kramac calls in an old debt from the Duke of Thunder and Jino takes flight.

The crusader next to Kiboko does rise finally and pats his shoulder. "Let's do this, my friend." before giving him an oil of align weapon. Must be standard issue.

With a jolt Kelemur begins moving again and strains to review the battlefield as his eyes regain perfect focus.

The demon's skin flashes as another effect strengthens his body and it speeds away from the new airborne threat.

The beast (sensing the sharp shooting of the elf) drops closer to the ground and prepares for the inevitable onrush by letting out a shrill, deafening screech.

GM - I seem to remember you saying that you liked to resolve things in initiative order rather than post order, whenever possible. If I remember that, please add +2 to all of Jino and Kramac's attack rolls from the menacing bonus from Mvumbu.

Cygnus and Kivuli botted race to help the downed crusaders as the battle intensifies. Flyn finishes his volley, blasting the last image then finally hitting the demon itself. But there is a purple-black flash of light as the arrow's force is dissipated.

Kiboko strides forward first as Mvumbu leaps forward to please his master. The demon strikes out quickly at both, opening up a deep gash across Kiboko's chest.

Kelumur moves in to strike as well and is greeted with a face full of claw. The cold iron dagger hits the beast cleanly but is absorbed by the same dark flash of light and does not penetrate.

Kramac drops down upon Jino, but only his first strike penetrates the demon's skin through whatever evil protection surrounds the beast.

With a disgusting plume, the air around the demon fill with nasty spores that attach to all with fiendish accuracy. Sticky tendrils erupt from each and begin to clench hungrily. Enraged by the blow from above, the demon attempts to destroy the brave souls and gets several bloody strikes in before the retaliatory gambit comes through, albeit with a flurry of dark flashes that weaken each blows' impact.
