Hell's Vengeance - Slides

Your bonus alone would kill the goblin.

Heading towards the arguing goblins, or are we hoping to go down the hallway a bit?

I've moved Merritt to outside what I think is the door the voices are coming from; please update his position on the map if I'm wrong.

Merritt approaches the door the voices are coming from cautiously, doing his best to stay quiet.

Stealth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

With the voices so loud, he doesn't bother listening at the door; he knows the goblins are behind it. But he takes a moment to check it for traps.

Perception, heightened awareness: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 6 + 2 = 21

Once he's comfortable that it's safe, he quietly nods to the others; he points to Torrak, then the door, indicating that the dwarf is likely the right one to barge in.

He readies his crossbow with a bolt loaded.

Now that's what I'm talking about! Maybe this devil will turn out alright after all. Torrak dutifully posts up by the door, ready to step in first after it is opened.

Haven't moved my token just yet, I'll wait to see which door is the door we hear the arguing from. IF we get a surprise round, I would appreciate it if someone opened the door for me. Merritt investigates the northern door first, then examines the southern door. "Goblins are indeed a menace. I'm grateful to have survived that first trap! Sneaky little bastards. I agree, there's no sense in leaving even the weak possibility of an ambush behind us."

Just a quick check-in as I still have company.

Hell's Vengeance - Slides

The doors do not appear trapped.

The northern door leads to a stairway upwards. These stairs wind to the right, circling around a glowing wall of semi-translucent green stone. It seems the Azlanti tower was built around a core of some other material--a spire within a spire. There is nothing of note to see on this floor.

The southern door leads to a plush, human-sized bedroom. The bedroom has obviously seen better days, but in this chamber stands a table holding a bone scroll tube and jars willed with eyeballs, claws, and teeth. Various automation pars lie scatter around.

"How abhorent," Tseghet declares as he investigates the bedroom. "Perhaps these foul goblins kept these jars and their contents for study? Or for use? Perhaps they are magical?" He sweeps the area with detect magic, determined to get to the bottom of this.
