DoubleGold |

Heroes take down the two Mephits
Masu'd fort: 2d20 ⇒ (10, 2) = 12 +3 to each fort
fort save round after that: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
and after that fort save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
and after that fort save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18 So Masu'd took 6 extra damage before defeating the cold unless someone can cure an affliction, like lesser restoration.
Just then two ice elementals and a winter touched atomie arrives
init: 3 + 1d20 ⇒ 3 + (16) = 19 Icy fey
init: 3 + 1d20 ⇒ 3 + (6) = 9 Emma
init: 3 + 1d20 ⇒ 3 + (10) = 13Goliath
init: 3 + 1d20 ⇒ 3 + (20) = 23Bronoval
init: 1 + 1d20 ⇒ 1 + (13) = 14Kurgen
init: 2 + 1d20 ⇒ 2 + (11) = 13Mas'ud
init: 5 + 1d20 ⇒ 5 + (4) = 9Andor
Bronoval is up, Map is up

Kurgen Stonehammer |

I could cast lesser restoration, but it takes 3 rounds to cast, so that's pretty useless. I'd also need a round to prepare it in my open slot, so 4 rounds total.

Kurgen Stonehammer |

How can you prepare a spell in one round? Archetype ability?
Nope I can't, apparently it takes 15 minutes and it's just not a rule I'm familiar with.

Bronaval |

Bronoval moves to cover casting Shield on herself as she moves.
Skygge keeps to the shadows and claws one of the ice elementals.
Claw +6: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4/2 2 slashing + 1d6 Bleed
Eidilon has 50% concealment in all but bright light. 20% in bright light

DoubleGold |

bronaval misses with the claw
The atomie and two icy fey attack
attack: 7 + 1d20 ⇒ 7 + (16) = 23
attack: 7 + 1d20 ⇒ 7 + (14) = 21 vs the shadow
atomie attack: 8 + 1d20 ⇒ 8 + (16) = 24 vs the shadow each hit deals 1 cold damage and the shadow must make fort save dc 11 or take ongoing cold damage
Just then a talking elk joins the battlefield vs the heroes.
All heroes are up

Goliath Maul |

Goliath swings mightly at the icy fey: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 271d10 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16
Goliath Swing Hits vital organs: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 281d10 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19

Bronaval |

All attacks against the Eidilon have at least a 20% miss chance, most 50%

Mas'ud |

Talking Elk?
The gnome struggles to get to a spot where he might provide a less attractive target for the elk before casting another spell which wraps the atomie's head in a wreath of fire that was formed from sounds . . ..
Casts Ear-Piercing Scream as a fire spell
Fire damage; DC17 Fort for half and to avoid Dazed condition for 1 round: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 5) = 7

DoubleGold |

Goliath kills two of the fey
miss chance: 3d100 ⇒ (18, 14, 57) = 89 20 and below on each of the rolls miss. only the last one did hit
reflex: 6 + 1d20 ⇒ 6 + (14) = 20 and Masu'd damages the atomie a lot, but it dodges some of the damage. It has single digit HP though.

Cannot access the map. Can you move me please.
Andor attacks one of the opponents with his Rapier.
Rapier attack roll : 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
Damage roll : 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Parry/Reposte
In case Andor is attacked he uses 'Opportune Parry' and parries by expending an AoO to parry and spends a panache point (so if the attack roll of the opponent is lower than Andor's parry then the opponent does not hit and Andor could potentially reposte)
Opportune Parry: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15
In case Andor successfully parries he uses 'Reposte' as an immediate action to attack the opponent that attacked him.
Rapier reposte attack roll: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
Damage reposte roll : 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

DoubleGold |

Andor slays the fey
Kurgen will ready an attack for the elk hit: 9 + 1d20 ⇒ 9 + (13) = 22 dmg: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
The elk that just barely reach his charge: 2 + 1d20 ⇒ 2 + (15) = 17
Then heroes take out the talking fey Combat over
Heroes come across an icy bridge and a snowman just before the bridge. He speaks as you get closer. Turn back! Read the freaking sign, turn back! and scadattle.

![]() |

Andor steps forward and greets the man.
”Hello, I hope that you are well! We are here to investigate the sudden cold weather and an abduction! And please don’t worry about our safety as we know how to fight!“
He points at the bridge.
”Would you mind if we crossed the bridge as we need to further investigate the circumstances of the abduction and find clues where the brigands and also the fey are actually coming from!?“
Diplomacy : 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29

DoubleGold |

Andor talks to the snowman but it doesn't respond. It isn't even alive, it was speaking under a spell triggered when you got close to it.
As the heroes stall, they do spot a trap just before the bridge.

DoubleGold |

Andor disables sound burst trap. Heroes are 30 feet above the ground. Underneath there is cold water. The bridge is very icy. You can choose to cross the bridge in 1 round and make an acrobatics dc 15 to not fall off the bridge. Or you can choose to cross the bridge in one minute safely. Only 2 of you can be on the bridge at the same time, so this may take up to 3 minutes. Anything else you'd like to do on the bridge?

![]() |

Andor examines the bridge and it’s surroundings for any further clues.
Perception : 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30
kn engineering : 1d20 + 8 + 1d6 ⇒ (16) + 8 + (3) = 27
Then he crosses over slowly.
Acrobatics : 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22

DoubleGold |

Andor see three bandits underneath the bridge, they will eventually reach you and don't notice yet. All heroes, this is you chance to attack at range, via surprise round.

Goliath Maul |

Goliath chucks a rock from his sling (If a rock can be stored in it or loaded before the surprise round).
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Attack: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Goliath shrugs as if to say my hands are too big I can't use this thing. Then he drops the sling to be able to use his fauchard.

Kurgen Stonehammer |

"You lot weren't thinking of attacking us as we crossed, were ya?" Kurgen says as he casts Forbid action (attack) on one of the bandits.

DoubleGold |

One gets shot by Andor will: -1 + 1d20 ⇒ -1 + (12) = 11 We have to come at the top of this hill first around the spiral before we would have seen you. But how are we suppose to make a living if we aren't bandits? Our only skills are building things and raiding things. The one fails and they surrender
Heroes cross the bridge and find a dead body, not killed by the bandits, but by the fey, and he has a masterwork handaxe on him.

![]() |

”I am quite glad that we can leave violence behind us as this would’ve only lead to more bloodshed! Please let us cross this bridge and please do not hinder any further innocent people but find peace and live your lives as productive part of our society!!“
Later ...
Andor investigates the murder scene.
Perception : 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29

DoubleGold |

But building buildings takes time. Not sure we want to build buildings all our life. We can build our own homes, but constantly building several and on deadlines, boy we wouldn't last.
As the bandits make their way up the hill and on the other side, you can no longer call them bandits, but citizens. In the middle of the snow, the heroes reach a large sentinel lodge building. This use to be our home we built ourself, before some fey took it over. Oh let me disable the crossbow trap in front of the door, the fey bypassed that by taking the 2nd floor, floating up there. The Lodge though not square is well over 2,000 square feet if ask the bandits, not counting the 2nd floor and basement. They then disable the crossbow trap to the entrance. There are inside the house one icy fey, and 9 bandits that joined a half-orc named Ten-Penny Tacey and we were thrown out. We've been hiding out in the warm cave below the house. Nothing in it, but it warm.

![]() |

Andor looks at Mas’ud incredulously.
”No! We won’t burn anything! We will go in there and help these men to reclaim their territory!“
Andor starts sneaking into the building.
Stealth : 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14

DoubleGold |

Andor, would you like to sneak into the Kitchen, stable, small bedroom or sickroom? The entrance has no enemies, so you'd have to make a lot of noise to attract attention.

![]() |

Perhaps I can make a friend of two from them and find out what is going on she suggest.

Kurgen Stonehammer |

Seeing Andor try to be stealthy, Kurgen holds back, "Holler if you need us. This metal is a little clanky to be sneaking around." he says sheathing his shield and warhammer.

DoubleGold |

Andor sneaks into the stable, not connected to the house. Twin doors open into this low stable, where five stalls hold three horses and mix of loose straw. A rack of riding gear hands on the east wall, and a cast-iron tub sits empty in the corner.
You see a single ice mephit in the other stable
perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8 and it doesn't see you.

![]() |

Andor slowly draws his weapon and looks back at the team to signal them that something is lurking there.
Stealth to draw weapon : 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
He then starts to silently approach the mephit to be able to charge attack.
Stealth : 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21
Was he successful?!

![]() |

She will approach well behind the kitsune always in human form after casting message on him.

DoubleGold |

Andor is already not seen or heard. Roll attack. You likely won't kill it in one hit, so likely init happens here unless multiple people want to stealth and beat the perception of 8, but it will be gone in one round.

![]() |

Andor charges forward to attack!
Rapier, charge +2 : 1d20 + 10 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 10 + 2 + 2 = 32
Piercing damage : 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
Crit confirm : 1d20 + 10 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 10 + 2 + 2 = 23
Crit damage? : 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14

DoubleGold |

Wow, even with resistances Andor moves in, hits it hard in the head and kills it. Now where, or is there something you'd like to do first now that the stable is clear? You can now camp out in the stable as it is warm enough.

![]() |

Super Lucky!
Andor signals to the others that they can come into the stable. He starts unpacking a couple of alchemical items and begins brewing another mutagen!
1 hour time needed. Assuming we have the time.
”Can one of you please observe the house from here? Check what they’re doing?“

Mas'ud |

"'Observe' the house? Really? Do you have any idea how BORING that is? Houses don't do anything, really. They sit there, and slowly catch wood rot, that sort of thing. Now, a good fire is always moving, always changing, always reaching out for more fuel. Watching the house burn wouldn't be anywhere near as boring . . .."
Yeah, I know. No, you stupid little gnome, you may not burn the house down. Just too good a chance to skip.

![]() |

I can keep our communication a bit quieter she says focusing and manifesting message.

Goliath Maul |

"How are you all doing with the cold? We don't know when the next warm spot will be so sleeping here may be a decent option. But, I'm happy to watch the house and get moving in an hour or so."
