Anyone else notice we in melee are all using rapiers?
I'm thinking of switching even though the rapier is the favored weapon. We will see what we stumble across in the dungeon.

Yeah, deadly was kinda confusing. I read it as using a d8 instead of a d6 for your second die vs. fatal which changed both your damage dice to the higher die. I still think you only get 2 dice, But then they throw masterwork weapons adding dice, etc. and it's a mess. The desc for deadly even appears to then use the wrong dice type for rapier so ???

Bruno "The Keg" Ironspine |

Fatal changes die size AND adds a die, so it would be consistent with an additional die for deadly from a weapon trait "power" level
And yeah that's weird about the deadly rapier example

Tried looking up dying on my phone. Dont know if this is the latest. But it appears I take a condition, not negative hp. Since this was a crit, I'm Dying 2, I think and i make a save (fort?) Against the goblin that dunnit? Let me try that or i can burn a hero point. I'd rather give Keg a chance to finish the goblin if possible.

Ah, no, detect magic is pretty lame now. Doesn't tell you what is magic, just that magic is near by. Interesting.
Arcana skill required for identify. Hopefully Ben has that? Ze Keg does not.

My wooden shield was only 3. Should carry a door around.
I saw that and wonder if it's a typo. How could wood be 5 and a wood shield 3? I could see a wood weapon shaft being thin and have a 3 hardness, but a shield should solid.

With clearing the first level of the dungeon, you've earned enough experience for level 2! Please post your level up choices and new stats.
(I find the new xp system to be clunky at best. I'm going to handwave xp tracking at least until the actual PF2 release, in case they revised it for the final print.)

OK leveling up... took Assurance (Athletics) for skill feat, Furious Focus for fighter feat. Am I reading it right that your level raises your proficiency modifiers which pretty much raise everything- skills, to hit, armor class, etc?

Bruno "The Keg" Ironspine |

Took Battle Medic as a skill feat and Healing hands as a cleric feat. Should significantly increase my healing ability in combat.

Loot #1- yeah, here it is:
Searching the bandit leader's body and room, you turn up the following: leather armor, 2 scimitars, a composite longbow, 35 arrows, a magical ring, 3 garnets, 124 silver, and 3 keys on a keyring.
You are able to search the rest of the room and the goblin bodies. Among the six sets of goblin leather armor, dogslicers and shortbows, you collect 36 copper, and 95 silver. Skizzertz carried an expert quality falchion, leather armor and a wand. The automaton remains of Clanky -- an arm, leg and its head -- appear to have some esoteric value, perhaps for a collector of odd curios.

Dropbox requires me to pay to allow editing which doesn't work for this effort. Will take other ideas.
I've updated the spreadsheet as far as I can with what I know. Need the DM to add in other values (gems and finer things) and the party to make claims on things they want to keep. If you wish to claim and keep an item, ensure it is no longer calculated in the resale column.

DM NomadSage |

Well, the rulebook apparently doesn't have anything about gems as treasure, other than an offhand mention in the intro to the treasure chapter. Consider them worth 50 silver each.
I'm assuming the gold-to-silver standard change from AD&D/2e/3e/PF1 >> PF2 is a 1:1 conversion. Am I the only one who feels this was an arbitrary change?
Same for the magical ring... playtest rulebook doesn't have ring of feather falling, which I cannot imagine they won't add in the final release. Lets just go with a PF1-equivalent function for now.

I think well be waiting for the complete rules for a whole lot of info. The playtest is really just about testing mechanics.
I very much like the change to silver standard. It's something I've toyed around with in the past. The prob with gold standard is that only gold is used. copper and silver become meaningless and platinum is too rare. It's really just a style thing, but I like the more diverse use of coin and more realistic feel imo.

Tarnished silver salt cellar.
Someone needs to take the ring of feather falling for now, I'd say either our fighter front man or the rogue trap springer.
Split is 191 silver and 65 copper each. I'm hiding the sold items on the tab.
Did we get anything for Clanky?

Bruno "The Keg" Ironspine |

Bruno is going to throw away his broken wooden shield and buy a heavy steel one for 20 silver.
Additionally he will sell his scale mail and purchase chain mail increasing his AC slightly and gaining the Noisy trait.
EDIT: gonna purchase 3 javelins as well for 3sp ... need some sort of ranged

Bruno "The Keg" Ironspine |

Have updated the split to 217.9, or more accurately:
2 gp, 197 sp, 9 cp
Final split, am calling it good for 1st level clearing here. Feather fall ring goes to ...
1d2 ⇒ 2: 1 Mikos, 2 Rodi
... until we figure a better place for it.
DM, please add link to loot spreadsheet on campaign tab.

So instead of DR/slashing, zombies now have Weaknesses: Positive 5, and Slashing 5. In PF2, weaknesses add the number to any matching type damage dealt.
For example, the disrupt undead spells do positive damage, so each of those spell rolls was boosted by 5 damage.
If Mikos had connected, his falchion would have done +5 damage per hit.
Pretty cool!

I don't know about an SRD, but that would be huge.
The Playtest CRB says:
Grabbed: You’re held in place by another creature, making you immobile and flat-footed. If you attempt a manipulate action, activity, free action, or reaction while grabbed, you must succeed at a DC 5 flat check or it is lost; attempt the check after using it but before any effects are applied.
EDIT: This exists but I don't know if it includes the playtest updates or not.
