Tomb of the Iron Medusa (Wasatch Front PFS push for 20)~ (Inactive)

Game Master into the aether

maps, handouts, etc.

I and a couple IRL friends want to get PFS characters to 20, so we're going to be doing high-level modules until we're at level 19.2. I'll be GMing Tomb of the Iron Medusa, levels 13-15. We are looking for two more players to join us at least for this module. We are:
Cleric 15 (me)
Investigator 15
Sorcerer 14
For this module, the party could really use a divine caster and a frontliner. Since modules are written for 4 PCs that's how we prefer to play them.

If interested, post here with the character you'd like to play.

The Concordance

This character will be done with a pbp shortly and jump to lvl 14 (due to AP book credit). He is a beastly earth kineticist that has melee and ranged options.

Sovereign Court

Hey, Saashaa! Fancy meeting you here.

For some context for those looking to sign up: We absolutely need to begin the module by October 24th; any later than that and it will be too late (very complicated circumstances; I'd be here for a while if I elaborated further than this).

Grand Lodge

Next Friday I will have level 13.1 ranger, if you can wait?

The Concordance

Oh, hey Xavier

We'll definitely be done by the 24th. Will it be PbP or another medium? I'm cool with any medium, just wondering.

additional note: 8-25 and 9-25 are 12-15 scenarios

Sovereign Court

I am aware of 8-25 and 9-25, however getting to level 20 in PFS is a very delicate balance that requires a lot of forethought. You must get your character to 56 XP (1XP away from 20) and play the multi-table special Race for the Runecarved Key. Conveniently, the Eyes of the Ten series concludes with each participant being 1 XP away from level 14, and the All for Immortality series is a 3-Part series each worth 1 XP, bringing it up to 1 away from 15. From there you could play either 8-25 or 9-25, but one would need to slow-track or else you would become over-leveled. From being 1 XP (or 0.5 XP if you did what I said in the last sentence) away from leveling, the character needs to exclusively play modules (worth 3 XP) from among Paizo’s relatively few sanctioned modules, most of which are from APs. However, there are a handful of sanctioned modules that are not from APs, but in order to hit 20 you must receive a Chronicle from the last book of an AP. I personally know that this specific module is appropriate story-wise for my character (he’s a Taldan noble, after all) which is why I’m persistent on doing this module in particular.

To answer your question Saashaa: Yes, we are doing this via PBP, but as for the multi-table special you’ll need to figure out how to do it yourself. Those of us that know each other IRL have already coordinated having that special be run at a local convention, which we’ll be playing at IRL.

As for why I’m responding to these questions out of nowhere instead of just having Picatrix answer: he and I are both coordinating our efforts of getting to 20 and I tend to be on the forums more frequently than Picatrix (he has a full-time job and I don’t).

The Concordance

I have a lvl 19 mystic theurge that I have done the same things with, minus the Race for the Runecarved Key.

FUN FACT: There is a boon (Extended Travels) that allows you to give a level to a character if you don't play it for a full calendar year. Thus, technically you could play at level 20 (which is my plan)

Silver Crusade

I have a L15 Champion of Irori to toss into the ring.

Note - I have played this before twice (once heavily modified in a home game)

Silver Crusade

I should have put a link to Maudril, shouldn't I :-).

Note, haven't played him for at least a year. A couple of minor things may be illegal at this point

I would also be interested, I have a level 13 sorcerer or witch ready to go. I would be burning a replay star.
