Chance for ray of enfeeblement (9 or 10 means there is one): 1d10 ⇒ 8
No one has it in their spellbooks, but there is a scroll of it for purchase at a 25% discount.
DM-Salsa
Alrighty. Looks like most everyone's ready to go. I'm going to be moving us on tonight. Sorry for the delay, but we're finally getting this show on the road!
Wayland Egorius
Okay, so that will cost Wayland an extra 14 GP (19 for the scroll instead of 5 for borrowing access). Got it marked off. He now has 238 GP left.
DM-Salsa
Scrolls are 25 gp, right? You should only pay 18.75 gp. Remember, silver and copper are a thing.
Morgrym Stonestepper
I got a convoluted system right now until I can get my laptop fixed.
I use office for the characters, but my wifes laptop doesn't have it, nor am I buying it again to install it on it.
However, work uses office, so I can update my characters there.
But work blocks things like roll 20, so I can only access that through the wife's laptop.
Will have my character profile up to date today.
Only change will be a bit of money back from selling my scale mail.
Morgrym Stonestepper
Hey, I can take the PUN-ishment. :)
DM-Salsa
Okay, so Lazur's comment has me wondering, is there anyone else who's not entirely happy with their build?
Wayland Egorius
Sorry Calin, not meaning to step on your toes. I can change my tactics if that is an issue.
Wand of True Strike is a nice low-cost option to save spell slots but it may not be a usual option at higher levels.
Lazur Anil
I wouldn't say I am unhappy. I've got a few characters that deal out the damage currently and Lazur isn't anywhere near them, but Lazur isn't a full BAB class either. Only change I might would like to make is Combat Reflexes for Lookout, though it was helpful this combat. Pretty much once I get those feats I think I may be happy with the combat capabilities of the Lazur. He will never be a huge damage dealer unless he is getting numerous attacks and even then each hit won't be for much.
As far as I am concerned, the more tripping the better. Those AoO will add up.
Calin Moonbreeze

Oh no what you are doing is great.
Trig Fanabarellalisa
For some reason, when I made Trig I had it in my head that Shamans got spells like Command and other language based effects so I picked Magical Linguist. They actually do not get them, which means some of my previous castings were ILLEGAL.
Probably changing out Magical Linguist would be the only thing I'd do for Trig at this point. Everything else works out nicely.
Morgrym Stonestepper
I will just stand there and glare at the goblins.
DM-Salsa
okay, so a couple of things.
1) I'll allow some reshuffling of characters now that the fight's over. If you want to swap out some feats, skills, spells, or traits, that's fine. Run anything else by me.
2) While not the most reliable sources, you do have two goblins that could potentially give y'all some information about Thistletop and the goings on there. Get creative by all means, but remember that you do have an inside source for information that you could use to help you in your raid on Thistletop.
Morgrym Stonestepper
Only thing, is that I just noticed that I had forgot to change my languages when I ported over.
Only change would be tien to Giant.
Still prevents me from understanding the goblins, but more suited language for the AP.
Trig Fanabarellalisa
Swapping out Magical Linguist for Pyromaniac. Nice and simple.
The fire is for sterilization, obviously.
DM-Salsa
Okay, looks like everyone's pretty happy with where they're at for the most part. :)
So, on to getting this rolling again. Here's the options that I'm seeing (Note: these are not necessarily mutually exclusive.):
1 - Trick the goblins into leading their leaders out into an ambush.
2 - Pumping the goblins for information.
3 - Killing the goblins and moving on.
4 - Leaving the goblins here.
5 - Something one of you clever people will come up with to blindside me. :P
It looks like y'all are wanting to do 1. Do you want to pump them for information too?
Morgrym Stonestepper
I dont want to pump them for the information.
I think we should stick them in a press and squeeze the info out.
[/sarcasm]
honestly, looking at 2, then using them for 1
Lazur Anil
I would be ok with asking them to lead their leaders into an ambush. They have been starved and shouldn't be to loyal to them at this point. Fill their bellies and see if they will help us. We may make honest goblins out of them yet.
DM-Salsa
Okay, so lukewarm on getting info out of them, a definite yes on using them to get their leaders into an ambush, and some disagreement on how to go about that second task.
Does that sound about right?
Also, did I miss Trig going on a vacation? Has anyone heard from her player?
Trig Fanabarellalisa
Two then one.
Trig hasn't had much to say in character, and I've had a lot to prep for this week. My bad.
DM-Salsa
Okay, so we're going two, then one. Who here speaks goblin? I need someone to pose some questions. You can use diplomacy to improve the answers you get.
If you're stuck on what to I ask, I can have Shalelu ask them some questions to get the ball rolling.
Trig Fanabarellalisa
Halfway through that post I thought to myself, Yeah, Goblins absolutely would buy into Mad Max's SHINY AND CHROME and I'm all for it.
DM-Salsa
Sorry for the delays, but I don't think I'll have the map up tonight and I'm going to be busy all weekend, so it might be Monday before we get going again.
DM-Salsa
Well, that took longer to get up than I'd hoped. Sorry for the delays in getting going again, but we're finally moving! I've also updated the map link under my name to go to the ambush map now. If you click on the Thistletop link, it'll take you to the map.
Thank you for your patience with me. I really am sorry about the wait while I got my act together.
Morgrym Stonestepper
No worries, I think we are all aware of how life can be.
Morgrym Stonestepper
Probably a quick halt, while maps get set up and things get sorted out. :)
AdamWarnock
More like the GM needs to get his head back on straight. I really am sorry. I’ve just been in a not so good place mentally. (Not really bad, just not good.) I’ll get us moving again Thursday night. Again, thanks for your patience. I’m just dealing with some stuff and it’s been affecting just about every part of my life.
Morgrym Stonestepper
Trust me, I may not be going through the same thing that you are. But as an individual with PTSD, I can relate.
Just a reminder. health first. Nothing else is as important as that.
Trig Fanabarellalisa
Echoing calls for taking time for you. I was just being impatient. You take care of you.
DM-Salsa
Thanks all. I know it can be frustrating to have a flaky GM, so I really do appreciate your patience.
I've been busy with work and then recovering from my second covid vaccine shot the past several days. I'll be posting on Monday assuming that I don't have to work too late in the evening.
Again, thank you for your patience. I'll keep running the game as long as everyone's having fun, even if things seem to move at a snail's pace at times.
DM-Salsa
Hey guys, there’s a link to the map in my status title thingy. Thought I’d remind you. :)
Morgrym Stonestepper
At work, which is blocking it.
Will look as soon as I can drag out my tablet.
Lazur Anil
I undergo surgery on Thursday to remove a lump from my abdomen. I will be in the hospital a night or two, supposedly, and then at home on drugs. I don't know what my posting will look like so please bot me if needed.
DM-Salsa
Here's hoping that everything goes well. Post delayed. Been a little busy with other things and work tonight.
Morgrym Stonestepper
Get well soon.
