It was 50gp.

I'll tell you guys right now, I'm going to be really busy for the next few days. Posts on my end will be even more sporadic than usual through Thursday.

And once again, last two weeks of the semester, posting will be sporadic this week.

F Kellid Patient Ambusher 2 | HP 15/15 | AC 15, T 13, FF 12, CMD 15 | F +4, R +6, W +2 | Init. +3, Perc. +10 (+11 vs. traps)

Sorry for my absence. Retail and holidays mix horribly.

Alright, dragging quite a bit. I can shunt things along, did anybody want to do anything back in town or shall I go on ahead to the boar hunt?

Grand Lodge

F Varisian Ranger 1 | HP 12/12 | AC 17, T 14, FF 13, CMD 17 | F +3 R +6 W +2 | Init +6, Perception +6 | FE: Goblinoids +2

You can move to the boar hunt, I think Valerica would be wanting to go on it asap anyways.

M Human Wizard (Diviner) 1 | HP 12/12 | AC 14, T 13, FF 10, CMD 13 | F+3 R +3 W +2 | Init +4, Perception +4 (Forewarned) | Diviner's Touch 7/7 | Bonded Spell 1/1 | Active: None

I think the boar hunt sounds good.
But Wayland wanted to check with Brodert Quink or Abstalar Zantus about the critter.
And see if anyone has spells he can scribe.
Exploring the cave system with our current resources seemed questionable.

Inspired Blade 1 | HP: 11/11 | AC: 19 | Panache: 5/5 | Initiative: +6 | Perception: +5

There are potential things to do in town, but nothing that couldn't wait till after the boar hunt from Kitchel's end. Exploring a tower would have been quick-ish, the cave system not so much, so knowing it's there if we need it for later is fine with me.

M Human Wizard (Diviner) 1 | HP 12/12 | AC 14, T 13, FF 10, CMD 13 | F+3 R +3 W +2 | Init +4, Perception +4 (Forewarned) | Diviner's Touch 7/7 | Bonded Spell 1/1 | Active: None

I apologize for any dragging-ness on my end.

At least in my limited experience, and this could be partly due to different GMs, some APs have introductions that give the party a good deal of momentum (Strange Aeons, Ironfang Invasion, War for the Crown). Others that are more sandboxy at the start can benefit from more GM intervention (Kingmaker, Runelords, Giantslayer).

Ironfang and War for the Crown both get sandboxy after a very intense railroady part, so you've had time to establish momentum and get into a rhythm.

I know Runelords gets more into a plot later, but for the time being I wouldn't object to being railroaded a bit more.

Trig wants to pick up a Healer's Kit in town, but that's really it at the moment.

Fine with being veered back towards the plot if we wander too far off course.

To the hunt!

I'm good moving on as well.

Inspired Blade 1 | HP: 11/11 | AC: 19 | Panache: 5/5 | Initiative: +6 | Perception: +5

I was about to say that surely we've gotten enough loot to buy a single first level scroll, but then I looked at the loot sheet. It is enough, but not by a lot.

Is there any reason not to have sold the mundane gear that we've gathered for half price during the second half of the day yesterday? Which I guess might just be the small studded leather armor. But it's something. With that and (especially) the reward from Foxglove earlier, we could afford that feather fall scroll. Trig might object to using party funds for that now, but Kitchel wouldn't mind at all.

Grand Lodge

F Kellid Patient Ambusher 2 | HP 15/15 | AC 15, T 13, FF 12, CMD 15 | F +4, R +6, W +2 | Init. +3, Perc. +10 (+11 vs. traps)

I will try to update the list later today but as I can see we have the following left to be distributed/sold.

2 small studded leather armor
1 small whip
1 potion of cure moderate wounds
2 medium chain shirt armor (broken)
2 medium scimitar (broken)
50 gold coins (from Foxglove, as this was given to Valerica I wasn't sure how it was being split)

Otherwise we have each received 6 gold coins from the split gold. I would say that returning to town to sell some stuff and get that scroll wouldn't be a bad idea. A healing kit may also be good if we can afford it. I personally would put my 6 gold in towards a healer's kit if needed.

Grand Lodge

F Kellid Patient Ambusher 2 | HP 15/15 | AC 15, T 13, FF 12, CMD 15 | F +4, R +6, W +2 | Init. +3, Perc. +10 (+11 vs. traps)

Also of note, do any of the casters have access to Mending to fix the broken gear? Or do we just want to take the hit on selling them?

By my math, if we sell as is we will have a total of 68.63 gold from the sale, plus 50 total gold. That should be enough for the scrolls and healers kit.

M Human Wizard (Diviner) 1 | HP 12/12 | AC 14, T 13, FF 10, CMD 13 | F+3 R +3 W +2 | Init +4, Perception +4 (Forewarned) | Diviner's Touch 7/7 | Bonded Spell 1/1 | Active: None

Wayland has Mending. Unfortunately, the limit is 1 lb per caster level, so he can't fix the scimitars or chain shirts.

Female Gnome Shaman 3 | HP: 28/28 | AC: 15, Touch: 11, Flat-Footed: 15 | CMB: +0, CMD: 10 | F: +3, R: +1, W: +6 | Init: +0 | Perc: +10 (+12 w/Cal) [Low-Light Vision]| Channels: 2/4 | Active Effects: Life Link (Calin, Wayland)

Trig would absolutely (continue) scowling at using party funds towards a scroll of Feather Fall, but she wouldn't push it too hard. She just doesn't want to go down there again.

And Trig had enough money thanks to the Hagfish Challenge to outright purchase the Healer's Kit, so that doesn't need to come out of party funds.

Just a heads up guys, this weekend I have a local Convention which I will be involved heavily. I won't have much time to check in and post, but I will try.

Have a good time at your convention, man.

Will do. Running three PFS scenarios (hopefully) and playing some more.

Boy if that is not a massive block of text. I have added to the campaign description a link to a map of the outlying areas of Sandpoint.

Wow hey did not mean to go dead silent for over a week, got sick as a dog and I'm only just getting better.

I really do apologize for the slow pace of this game. It's evident that I severely overestimated what my school-life balance was going to be like, as well as my own ability to focus. We're only about a third of the way through book 1, but the Glassworks leads directly into more adventure without the painful open world-ness that's dragged on for far too long.

M Human Wizard (Diviner) 1 | HP 12/12 | AC 14, T 13, FF 10, CMD 13 | F+3 R +3 W +2 | Init +4, Perception +4 (Forewarned) | Diviner's Touch 7/7 | Bonded Spell 1/1 | Active: None

I only meant to say that given the pace (and I understand life takes precedence) we the players should not stretch things out further with meandering off the path. We should work with you when you are trying to move things along.
Although some games go at a faster pace, this one is still enjoyable and engaging. Thank you for running it.

We've actually gotten further than either of the RotRL games I was in as a player. Never got to the Glassworks. One didn't even make it to the mausoleum after the festival, actually, but I sure learned some lessons from that one.

May need to zoom in to see the map better, especially the doors, I've labeled approximately where Tif heard the noises coming from. This is more for reference, if it comes to combat I'll use an inset map.

Female Gnome Shaman 3 | HP: 28/28 | AC: 15, Touch: 11, Flat-Footed: 15 | CMB: +0, CMD: 10 | F: +3, R: +1, W: +6 | Init: +0 | Perc: +10 (+12 w/Cal) [Low-Light Vision]| Channels: 2/4 | Active Effects: Life Link (Calin, Wayland)

I would like to second that this is enjoyable. You're doing well so far, and you've warned us of posting gaps ahead of time, so that's fine.

Hopefully Trig isn't putting anyone off so far. She's been a bit of a handful but I can scale it back if anyone feels personally offended.

Inspired Blade 1 | HP: 11/11 | AC: 19 | Panache: 5/5 | Initiative: +6 | Perception: +5

I'm going to toss another it's certainly been enjoyable so far onto the pile! If anyone's going to apologize for derailing things it should probably be me.

Kitchel is interested in lots of things (which is why she'll be going for investigator next level,) and the combination of shifting attentions as well as lack of understanding of social situations for humans does seem to be dragging things in directions that might not be intended. I can also scale that back if anyone wants me to as it's just some RP. The source of the letter for example I expect not to go anywhere (why would the halfling telling us about it know anything?) but it's the sort of thing that Kitchel would ask about. I certainly wasn't looking to add new things for us to do so much as RPing it up.

I'm pretty happy with how Trig is being played so far, so from my perspective there's no offense to be worried about.

Sorry for the week of absense team. Work kicked my butt last week.

As for enjoying it... Oh yeah. I think this group is doing well over all. I like the characters and while there are some difficult interactions, I think they are awesome RP and wouldn't ask them to change. Trig and the rats are all great characters.

Out of town this weekend. Don't expect too much on my end.

Hey all, I'm going to be a posting a bit less frequently for a bit. Got a new baby and a (probable) new job both starting soon so real life is busy with preparations of various sorts. I should be able to make qyick posts but please feel free to bot me if I'm holding up combat.

No worries, I got a new job myself and am working on moving to a new place so I'll be irregular for a bit. More irregular than usual.

Yay Level 2!
Perhaps we should check in to see who is still here, and recruit replacements if necessary? I think we have lost a couple of players.
It would be good for any new recruits to know of the pace and be okay with it.

Yes, level 2! I am still here and I am okay with the pace.

For the loot, so far the only thing I see that Edamm would want is the shortbow and the thieves tools. She would be ok if someone else wants the bow though.

And last, Edamm would want to go back down into the escape tunnel to see where it goes and hopefully figure out if it has something to do with the goblin attack. Does anyone think this would be a bad idea?

Huzzah level 2! The pace is slow, as in sure I don't need to point out, but it's suiting me well at the moment. I do agree we should do a head count though. See where we are player-wise.

I'd be up for recruiting a couple more people, as you say making clear to them what the pace is like. I'm glad you guys are cool with it, I really am still enjoying GMing.

Is Tif still around?

Let's go with your choice, you can either take half your hit dice rounded up or you can roll for hit points.

Trig is all leveled up. Did you mean Half +1 (rounded up) or something else?

Right now I have her in PFS mode with half hit die +1 but I can change that.

Also, I forgot where to find our loot/gold that we've earned so far. Could you point me in the right direction?

Half +1, yes.

Edamm did make a lootsheet a while back here which I will make a link to in the campaign description but it is a little out of date. There's the loot you got off of Tsuto which for your convenience includes: a composite (+1) shortbow, a set of masterwork thieves' tools, 125gp in treasure, a potion, and a ring with a rune on it.

And for the sake of not slowing things down more, uhhh Wayland can hit the spellcraft check on a take 10 with Trig aiding, the potion is a Potion of Cure Light Wounds, and the ring is a Ring of Protection +1.

A couple of things for people coming in, welcome. Like I said, the Glassworks has just wrapped, everyone just reached level 2, and I'm going to get a post continuing up tonight. I'm going to be totally honest, I'm not wholly sure how to go about introducing your characters. Trig, Wayland, and Edamm have made names for themselves as heroes in Sandpoint, which is a reputation that is only going to be further enhanced with events of late. If the three of you want to know each other prior to coming in or not, it's up to you.

@Morgrym: I think your point buy is low, it appears to be 15 points and we're using 20 points.
