Calin Moonbreeze |

Calin works right next door to the Rusty Dragon at Davrien Hosk's Goblin Squash stables as a stable hand. He has volunteered for the city watch as an extra hand when needed as well. I would imagine he has seen or dealt with your heroic folk maybe a time or two since he works next door to Ameiko's tavern.
While not a true local, he has lived in Sandpoint for the last 3 or 4 years, so if you are locals he has probably met you a time or two before I would imagine. Im reading and catching up on all the game play posts now :)

Trig Fanabarellalisa |

It doesn't really make sense for Trig to know anyone unless they happened to be Sczarni. Which I'd be fine with. Feel free to send me a private message but fair warning, you're probably going to get scolded. A lot.

Wayland Egorius |

I'm traveling with limited access for a few days but when I am back I will post in Gameplay and also offer some potential connections to any of the new PCs.

Morgrym Stonestepper |

Sorry, so long, I missed the acceptance due to an attack of life. :)
Will update to level 2, before I post in game.

Morgrym Stonestepper |

Yes, the point buy was a little low, but sorted, along with downgrading to level 2.
I can figure out a way in game to get with the party.
As for the slow pacing, I can work with that.

Wayland Egorius |

Wayland has a rather vague background in between leaving Sargava and coming to Sandpoint.
He has been looking to make his fortune as an explorer/scholar/archaeologist and has applied to join the Pathfinder Society.
He could well have been on a caravan that Morgrym was guarding, perhaps a year ago.
Lazur could have been somebody that Wayland hired to retrieve a field notebook that was stolen by an unscrupulous rival.
He would only recently have met Calin Moonbreeze, since he hasn't been in Sandpoint for very long.

Wayland Egorius |

That works for me, Lazur. Perhaps the notebook included various rumors that Wayland had collected about a potential Thassilonian ruin.
If the GM wishes, this could be a clue to get us on track if we get stuck.

Morgrym Stonestepper |

going on a quick trip for the next few days. please bot if needed.

Morgrym Stonestepper |

Back from my quick trip.

![]() |

GM Dreamer... Not sure how you would rule on Ponok acting with Edamm being unconscious. Would it be appropriate for him to attack, or would he just take a defensive position over her? Just checking before making a post.

![]() |

I will be traveling this weekend again to take care of my wife's grandmother. We may be leaving as early as this afternoon. I may have better access though than normal, so I will post if I can. If you need to bot Edamm and Ponok, feel free to do so. Thank you.

Morgrym Stonestepper |

As much as I would like to use the Longsword, I cannot see my character using it. It just feels wrong for me to use. Now if it was an axe, I would use it.
:)

Morgrym Stonestepper |

Thanks for the offer, but I have 2 light axes already so if you want it, keep it.
1 - Dwarven Maulaxe - Light B/S weapon
2 - Boarding Axe - Light P/S weapon (Cold Iron)
I am trying to work this character as a switch hitter, and my first time as a warpriest, so mistakes might be made.

Morgrym Stonestepper |

Calin, I think that you having it might be the best choice.

Wayland Egorius |

There really wasn't another option. A combat against a flying invisible foe would be an interminable slog.
We didn't get a surprise round (perhaps weren't quiet enough) and then it beat us on initiative.

Lazur Anil |

I don't know that it would be that bad. It's invisible so it becomes visible as soon as it attacks or once the duration runs out which won't be too long. That is as long as it's not continually summoning creatures to throw at us.

Wayland Egorius |

So it is my hope that we can hand-wave as much as possible and get back to the entrance to this dungeon having acquired a scroll of See Invisibility (150), 2 scrolls of Faerie Fire (50), and 2 scrolls of Protection from Evil (50).
We had 175 from before this dungeon and can get 153 from selling the MW handaxe. That leaves us with 78.

GM TheSilverDreamer |

Duly noted. I do apologize, I went home to see my family for Thanksgiving and didn't have my computer. I will post properly either when I get back tonight or tomorrow morning.
Lucky for you guys the demon is agoraphobic and won't leave the dungeon (and I'm not even joking a little), and those scrolls are common enough to be in stock so it shouldn't be more than an hour to get them and get back.

Wayland Egorius |

The door is no longer spiked shut; it was burst open from the inside and then propped up again, so just leaning there. With a hole in it.
One flaw in my ranged-option plan is that our party is mostly melee types, with nobody with Precise Shot.
So if one PC is in front blocking the corridor with Total Defense and Prot Evil, those behind with bows probably need very high rolls to hit the sinspawn (-4 for cover and -4 for into melee) and they hopefully need 20s to hit the lead PC.
That is a VERY long combat in any PbP.
It does get better if the archers in back ready to attack when the lead PC steps back. Then it is only a -4 for cover, not also the -4 for into melee. Sort of a fighting retreat down the corridor. And they can only attack us one at a time in the corridor.
Morgrym in front? He is pretty tough and also not much of an archer. Would be AC 20 with his shield, Prot Evil, and fighting defensively. Or 22 with Total Defense.
Then archers are Calin (+4), Edamm (+4), Lazur (+3), and Wayland (+3). Trig can either attack or use Guidance.

Calin Moonbreeze |

I could also be up and provide aid to Morgrym. With one of us on either side it means they cant just skirt us to reach the archers Trying to plow through the middle means eating more than one AoO. Lastly though it doesnt help the archers too much I do have improved trip if they start to get a little overwhelming.

Wayland Egorius |

If we establish position in the straight corridor that goes east-west, then only 1 can attack us at a time. And we only need 1 PC to hold the line.
But, having you and Morgrym block the front works well if we set up in the area in front of the door to their room, rather than in the 5' wide corridor.

Morgrym Stonestepper |

So if I have this right, I am in front, with shield on, and blocking the path for the fugly critters to try and get by.
Everyone else tries to shoot them down, while Calin and I play, pay attention to us.
I think that is workable on my part.
As for the door, I thought it was still spiked, but guess not.
GM, if not spiked, will just cast prot evil before drawing the fuglies attention.

Sorry I was out of touch this weekend as well. Family and then working with the wife at the shop (small business life during the holidays).
As for the plan, I will go along with the group. Ponok will likely stick by her side for the moment, though he's currently not watching her back as she asked (pushing is tough) so for now he's just sitting there.
I am also going to apologize in advance for the upcoming weekends. This upcoming weekend the wife and I will be attending PAX Unplugged, so I won't really be able to post much from Thursday night until Monday night (I'll try via phone if I get a chance). If needed feel free to bot Edamm and Ponok.
The rest of the weekends for this year will be spent at the store so I will also be out for those times mostly. I will be more capable during that time (the shop is not open ALL day and night) but no guarantees.
Thanks for understanding and enjoy the season guys and gals.

![]() |

So, PAX Unplugged was a blast. Unfortunately I was not really able to post while there (not that I didn't have access, just most of my time was spent at the Con or sleeping) and with preparing to go and dealing with coming home and returning to work... I couldn't get the chance to look.
Good to see that we are moving forward.

![]() |

@Wayland, hadn't seen the charge. Here's hoping!
@Calin, ouch, seems the dice hate is spreading.
@Trig, oh wow, didn't notice you had lifelink. Cool. Edamm will likely discuss that after the fight, strategically.

GM TheSilverDreamer |

Not only did that sinspawn charge, not only was it prone, not only was Calin flanking it with Ponok, but it is also currently Raging, giving it a total AC last round of 4. I can say with all honestly I have never seen somebody hit with a natural 2 on the d20.
The summoned jackal is technically statted as a wolf, but jackals are the sacred animal of Lamashtu and is pretty close anyways. Not that that's important to you guys but I just felt like sharing.

Wayland Egorius |

I can say with all honestly I have never seen somebody hit with a natural 2 on the d20.
That actually becomes quite common at mid-high levels, especially with martials on their primary attack.
My cavalier took a trait to let him reroll a "1" on an attack roll because starting around level 7 or so he would miss only on a 1 if he was charging.
Morgrym Stonestepper |

we still here ??

Trig Fanabarellalisa |

I was waiting to sew the answer to Wayland's question but I suppose it has no bearing on what I was doing, anyway.

GM TheSilverDreamer |

Yeah, I have no good excuses here. I just got caught up in IRL stuff and the month of January slipped by before I even realized it. My apologies, all.
Also if the first sinspawn seemed to go down easier than the second that would be because I forgot to include its Rage bonus to Con when determining maximum HP, and by the time I realized my mistake I already said it was dead.

Morgrym Stonestepper |

Been near a month, any word ??
