Alright, introducing Badia the Leaper! Half-orc barbarian of the mighty frog totem! She likes to jump, kick butts, and jump!

Appearance

Skills:
Acro +2T, Diplo +4T, Intimidation +4T, Lore(Desert) +6T, Nature +8T, Stealth +2T, Survival +9E
Human Druid 4 | HP: 28/48 | AC:18 TAC:15 | F:+7* R:+5 W+9 | Perc +9E | SP 1/4 | Reso 0/4 DC15 | Speed 25 | Wand of Heal 4/10 l Active Conditions: Shield Up

Nice! I just finished mine as well.

Ok, thanks both. I'll take a look and get back to you.

EDIT - Badia: I can't calculate your saves to be that high (I get Fort 4 plus 1 for Expert and 3 for Con = 8; Will 4 plus 1 for Expert plus 1 for Wis = 6; Ref 4 plus 0 for Trained plus 1 for Dex = 5). Also I can't get to +9 for your bite attack (4 plus 4 for Str).

Plus, isn't wielding weapons Anathema for Animal totem?

If I've missed anything please let me know, in which case apologies!

Naadhira: looks ok, I think. If there's anything you particularly want me to check then let me know.

Skills:
Acro +2T, Diplo +4T, Intimidation +4T, Lore(Desert) +6T, Nature +8T, Stealth +2T, Survival +9E
Human Druid 4 | HP: 28/48 | AC:18 TAC:15 | F:+7* R:+5 W+9 | Perc +9E | SP 1/4 | Reso 0/4 DC15 | Speed 25 | Wand of Heal 4/10 l Active Conditions: Shield Up

I do have a question about food for animals. I couldn't find anything like 'animal feed', so do we buy regular rations for animals as well?

Skills:
Acro +2T, Diplo +4T, Intimidation +4T, Lore(Desert) +6T, Nature +8T, Stealth +2T, Survival +9E
Human Druid 4 | HP: 28/48 | AC:18 TAC:15 | F:+7* R:+5 W+9 | Perc +9E | SP 1/4 | Reso 0/4 DC15 | Speed 25 | Wand of Heal 4/10 l Active Conditions: Shield Up

Things everyone would know about me:

- I was hired by you guys as an escort through the desert, but eventually we became teammates.

- I've been a wanderer for a long time, and my social skills are lacking. In fact, I sometimes refuse to enter places that are noisy or crowded.

- My armour is made of Gnoll hide and fur. I hate them.

- I can't read or write beyond very simple words in Druidic or Kelish

- I have a camel who is my best friend. I sleep next to him. His name is Hijen and he laughs when I tickle his neck.

Ack! I missed the anathema. Okay, changing totem to copper dragon. A bit less silly, but she still likes to leap.

I messed up the Fort save bonus, but magic armor adds its bonus to saves now as well. So they should be +9, +5, and +7.

The expert handwraps of mighty fists add +1 to unarmed strike attacks. But I'll replace that with a brooch of shielding.

Oh yeah I forgot about magic armour bonuses to saving throws!

@Naadhira - this bit of the AP lasts a maximum of 9 days, which to a camel is the gap between lunch and dinner. So don't worry about it.

@Solicitor: get well soon!

@Naadhira - camels have their own stats from the PF2 Bestiary:

CAMEL CREATURE 1
Animal
Large

Perception +3; low-light vision, scent 30 feet
Languages —
Skills –1; Acrobatics +2, Athletics +6
Str +3, Dex +1, Con +4, Int –4, Wis +1, Cha –2
Desert Survivor A camel lasts up to a week in severe heat
without drinking water, or up to 6 months without drinking
water at cooler temperatures.
AC 13, TAC 12; Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +2
HP 30
Speed 35 feet
Melee jaws +5, Damage 1d4+3 bludgeoning
Range spit (range increment 10 feet) +4 touch, Effect camel spit
Camel Spit Once per hour, a camel can regurgitate the contents
of its stomach as a foul spit. On a successful attack, the
target is dazzled for 1 round (or blinded for 1 round on a
critical hit) and it must succeed at a DC 14 Fortitude save
or be sick 1.

Skills:
Acro +2T, Diplo +4T, Intimidation +4T, Lore(Desert) +6T, Nature +8T, Stealth +2T, Survival +9E

Oh sweet!
They still cost the same as a riding horse, yes?

yes, I think so

I'll repurpose this alias into a rogue tomorrow. Half-Orc to be friends with Badia. :) Vaguely looking at a rogue-intimidate build right now but that may change with more consideration!

Great, so we're just waiting for Solicitor to recover and let us know whether it's going to be a ranger or a wizard and then we can get started!

If people have extra money left over after character creation, might I suggest pooling it together for a wand of heal? We will probably need it without a cleric in the party.

^^^^ This ^^^^

Also, please ensure that you put your Resonance totals in your stat-line so I can track it (joy).

Plus, you get 2 Hero Points to play with. Let's see if we can remember to use them this time :)

EDIT: just seen that new Errata have come out. Goodbye to Signature Skills!

Also, they changed the animal totem anathema so you can use weapons. So frog totem all the way! Ribbit!

Heh. Yes, I missed that one first read-around. But it looks like you can only use weapons while you aren't raging?

EDIT: the intro to this one is mostly exposition and roleplay so I'll try and get something up later today. It shouldn't matter too much if your characters aren't completely finished, we can do that as we go along.

Yeah, I'll still go for it though.

|HP: 233/233| AC: 34 | F: +25, R: +24, W: +27+ | Dip +28, Dec +26, Itm +24, Med/Prc/Rel/Soc +23, Lor/Occ +19 | Lvl 1: 4/4, 2: 4/4, 3: 4/4, 4: 4/4, 5: 4/4, 6: 4/4, 7: 3/4, 8: 2/3, Focus: 4/3+1 | HeP 1/3 | Active conditions:

Even without a cleric at least we'll have a chance to avoid traps this time! :D

I will JUMP over any traps that show up!

Here's what I got so far:

Class: Ranger
Race: Halfling
Background: Hunter

STR 10 / DEX 18 / CON 12 / INT 12 / WIS 16 / CHA 10

-Expert in Stealth with the Assurance & Quiet Allies skill feats for Stealth
-Ranger feats aimed at improving his ability to crossbow people in the face
-A clandestine hunter who is thrilled and enthralled by the idea of hunting ever bigger prey and prizes.

Have yet to dig through the magic items, but I'll do that when I get back home in a little. Everything but that and his fluff is penned down. Now to translate it to a digital sheet :)

Skills:
Acro +2T, Diplo +4T, Intimidation +4T, Lore(Desert) +6T, Nature +8T, Stealth +2T, Survival +9E

O_O I didn't realize Solicitor, Irfan was Aivar O_O

Can I use the goblin renegade background for Caraid? He's almost a goblin and its quite fitting for the little fluff I've figured out for him.

@Caraid - ok, I'll allow it, but my "no goblin PCs" policy is still strictly in force.

Backstory time!

Badia was born to a small tribe of desert-dwelling half-orcs in Katapesh. When she was a little girl, gnoll slavers raided her home and took her into captivity. They brought her back to Okeno, where she was forced into a life of labor. Though she grew strong and tough, she longed for freedom.

At night, she would peek out through the bars of the fence around her work camp and watch the desert frogs leaping around between the sand and the shore. Badia idolized the creatures, knowing that if she could only harness the power of their mighty legs, she could leap over the fence and escape her wretched situation. In secret, she carved a frog totem and prayed for deliverance. And one day, something heard her prayers.

Maybe it was Gozreh. Maybe it was Gogunta. Whatever the source, Badia awoke the next morning to feel her rage at her imprisonment and her captors about to boil out of her. Instead of trying to quash it down, she embraced it, letting it bubble to the surface. She felt her face shift for the first time, mouth widening and filling with razor-sharp teeth, tongue elongating and becoming sticky. When the gnolls tried to stop her, she tore them apart with her vicious bites and made a break for the fence. And when she got there, she summoned all of her froggy strength....and...she...

...JUMPED!

Finally free to forge her own path in life, Badia became a mercenary and fell in with a group of like-minded adventurers. No matter what dangers they will face, Badia will be ready to leap into action will all of her froggy fighting prowess!

So we start with 300 sp, one lvl 1, two lvl2 and one lvl3 item, which means we can't get an expert armor or weapon, correct? And so, not apply the +1 armor rune since we can't afford expert armor? Unless I specifically opt for a cold-iron warhammer, since that particular treasure isn't a catch-all for cold-iron weapons?

Sjeez, this is really convoluted.

+1 armor includes the cost of the rune and expert armor, so you can choose that as your 3rd-level item. But I don't think you can get expert weapons.

Really now? Good. I'm browsing back and forth non-stop to read all the fine print and it seems odd that a +1 light or medium armor is lvl3 compared to an expert light steel sturdy shield being lvl4. Guess it all takes getting used to.

I think it's because you have to "invest" the magic armour for it to work, but an expert shield adds its bonus all day every day.

EDIT - Oh no, wait, is armour something that you don't have to invest Resonance in? I'm so confused...

EDIT II - Also, Badia managed to get an expert weapon (handwraps) and +1 armour so it should be possible to get both.

Don't ask me. Paizo really seems to be sounding the fun police sirens with regards to the restrictions implemented in PF2.

But I'm having a rather s!~~ty day and pretty much everything and anything is able to test my resolve today xD I should be able to post my character later tonight.

For some reason the expert handwraps are a lower level item than an expert weapon. :(

Skills:
Acro +2T, Diplo +4T, Intimidation +4T, Lore(Desert) +6T, Nature +8T, Stealth +2T, Survival +9E
Human Druid 4 | HP: 28/48 | AC:18 TAC:15 | F:+7* R:+5 W+9 | Perc +9E | SP 1/4 | Reso 0/4 DC15 | Speed 25 | Wand of Heal 4/10 l Active Conditions: Shield Up

I still need to pick up a second 2nd level item, and a first level item.

I also have 115.4gp to spend/pool/save

Halfling Wizard 4 | HP: 34/34 | AC:20 TAC:17 | F:+6 R:+8 W+7* | Perc +x5 | SP 4/4 | Reso 4/4 | Speed 25 | Active Conditions:

Hrm, the select an avatar page is bugging out on me hard.

By narrowing down the selection I can circumvent it, but hrm, this is a new one ;x

Skills:
Acro +2T, Diplo +4T, Intimidation +4T, Lore(Desert) +6T, Nature +8T, Stealth +2T, Survival +9E
Human Druid 4 | HP: 28/48 | AC:18 TAC:15 | F:+7* R:+5 W+9 | Perc +9E | SP 1/4 | Reso 0/4 DC15 | Speed 25 | Wand of Heal 4/10 l Active Conditions: Shield Up

Alright I selected my magic items:

3rd: Staff of Fire
2nd: Hat of Disguise
2nd: Wand of Heal
1st: Feather Token (ladder)

OK, everyone is more-or-less there, so I'm going to put the first post up. It's mainly just a chance to get into your characters' skin a little more.

Halfling Wizard 4 | HP: 34/34 | AC:20 TAC:17 | F:+6 R:+8 W+7* | Perc +x5 | SP 4/4 | Reso 4/4 | Speed 25 | Active Conditions:

Alright, I think I got everything down on the sheet. From his stats to his gear to the total amount of bulk, it should all check out. I hope. I think.

Also, my neighbours just got to hear me swear after the hot darned site ate up my background, personality and background. Which I didn't copy. Awesome.

...

Ya know, I've read that damn rulebook over and over and I STILL managed to completely miss the fact that wizards can wear armour now.

Sheesh

Skills:
Acro +2T, Diplo +4T, Intimidation +4T, Lore(Desert) +6T, Nature +8T, Stealth +2T, Survival +9E

I have assurance (survival) at expert rank for a result of 15. Is that enough to succeed on the survival checks, or am I going to have to work harder than that? =P

The Survival DC is 18.

Anyone got their eye on the falchion? Caraid might be interested.

You can have it. I can't use it while raging.

Halfling Wizard 4 | HP: 34/34 | AC:20 TAC:17 | F:+6 R:+8 W+7* | Perc +x5 | SP 4/4 | Reso 4/4 | Speed 25 | Active Conditions:

Go for it, Caraid!

Yeah, anyone can wear armor now! I took the feat for it, but technically anyone can wear hide armor in return for some skill penalties. Admittedly, that *could* cripple you, but there it is.

I have never played a Han Solo'esque wizard before, so this should be fun. I noted down my memorized spells on the char page and will put a cross (x) in ze box [_] when I have used it.

[X]

Can I assume you're going to take the camels? (Those of you who don't have one already, I mean)

Yes, camel up! I will get a post up soon.

Halfling Wizard 4 | HP: 34/34 | AC:20 TAC:17 | F:+6 R:+8 W+7* | Perc +x5 | SP 4/4 | Reso 4/4 | Speed 25 | Active Conditions:

I am entirely unsure what a halfling on a camel would look like, but yes, Alisti will surely take one.

Something like this?

Skills:
Acro +2T, Diplo +4T, Intimidation +4T, Lore(Desert) +6T, Nature +8T, Stealth +2T, Survival +9E
Human Druid 4 | HP: 28/48 | AC:18 TAC:15 | F:+7* R:+5 W+9 | Perc +9E | SP 1/4 | Reso 0/4 DC15 | Speed 25 | Wand of Heal 4/10 l Active Conditions: Shield Up

Yeah just hold onto the hump

So, quite a lot of this part of the AP is in Exploration mode, so I need to know what tactic you will be using.

Remember that Sneak and Seek/Investigation or whatever it's called put you at half speed.

I will try to Sneak!

Halfling Wizard 4 | HP: 34/34 | AC:20 TAC:17 | F:+6 R:+8 W+7* | Perc +x5 | SP 4/4 | Reso 4/4 | Speed 25 | Active Conditions:

Alisti has stealth plus he's small, so I might as well vote for a sneaky beaky approach.
