With the abiltiy to swift action heal urself u might wanna consider memorizing a heal spell or two.

Story wise. Is there some sort of time limit we're dealing with or can we back off and rest and refresh before getting at it? I think we can do one or two more encounters but we're burning through resources pretty fast!


You are conquering a town inside the Worldwound to recover a holy relic thought to be contained within this citadel. Now you do understand that elsewhere most demonic forces are taking on the main crusader army, but it is always possible that what you are up to will get out to the main demonic force, and since they can teleport, you won't have a large amount of warning if reinforcements show up.

So you are sort of on the clock, but it is indefinite.

Not sure if I explained, but your mission is to reclaim the Sword of Valor. Of course it isn't actually a sword, but a banner. It's a very powerful artifact that can enable to secure Drezen against demonic depredations if you can find and activate it properly.

@Rayne looking at your stat line, you are at full HP. I would suggest trying to keep the stat line updated so that everyone knows the state of the party. I know when I play healers I just scan the stat lines to see if anyone is injured and don't read all of the combat text to try to figure out who got hit and how much their DR, resists, or something else took off from that.

As far as resting goes I still have plenty of spells for the day. My wizard side is barely used tbh. We should push on a bit more before trying to rest. When we do rest I can cast rope trick so we don't have to backtrack.

Godwin opens the door!


A huge statue of a squat dwarf with a massive hammer and shield stands at forefront of this small chapel, flanked by twin tapestries depicting forges. Several rows of benches extend back from the dais on which the statue is mounted, watched over by three more stone dwarven sentinels in the alcoves along the eastern wall. A final, larger tapestry covers the back of the chamber, apparently illustrating and commemorating the construction of Citadel Drezen and its stand against demonkind. All of the room’s decorations have been torn, smashed, scratched, and otherwise befouled—their original sacred purpose can be barely seen below layers of filth and ruin. The three eastern statues in particular seem to have suffered the brunt of this blasphemy, for the entire surface of each has been etched with demonic runes.

As you open the door, the three statues of dwarves start to move. Init time.

It is likely you assume that moving statues are not evil outsiders. You are 7th level and have been fighting a wide variety of demons by now (you are a crusader at the Worldwound).

@Nuala my normal shot is a 1d8+10 and the manyshot shoots two arrows hence the 2d8+20 on the first attack but the crit only applies to one of the arrows and not both so I add in the 2x more damage for the one arrow which was another 2d8+20. So the manyshot crit looks like a 3d8+30 + 1d8+10 for a total of 4d8+40.
