Sparhawk. |

Sparhawk glances at Seamus and nods as he keeps his crossbow trained. "If you do as I said, and tell us everything you know of the events hereabouts, I will make sure you get a fair trial. Decide neighbor, I grow impatient."

brvheart |

"That is beyond my power. Izoze and the cold fey forced me and my men to cooperate. I have some of them captive if you wish to see."

Sparhawk. |

Sparhawk grimaces at the beyond my power bit. "Why don't you start by letting my friend here (he nods to Seamus) bind you. Because if you so much as look wrong I will finish what I started. And while he does that, you can tell me how fey forced you to do this, but yet are captives of yours." Weapon still out, readied attack if he tries anything

Seamus Passeri |
Seamus, keeping a keen eye on the prisoner, sets his crossbow down and removing a rope from his pack, eases beside Caan and, if permitted, ties the clerics hands behind his back, as he asks, "Can anyone tell if he is lying, I don't trust necromancers."
perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

brvheart |

You find 2 vials, mwk thieves' tools , a ring of keys and 15 GP. There is also a spellbook.

Caan the Unfettered |

Caan shrugs. "I dunno. I've always had trouble with your faces. Orcs are easy to read, humans are hard."
The Half-orc leans down and begins (awkwardly) performing first aid on Paletress.
First Aid: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 "Bah. Stay with me!" Caan shakes Paletress's limp body by the shoulders.

brvheart |

"I managed to capture one. Don't believe me? Look in the storage room upstairs."

Sparhawk. |

"Aye, but you have yet to explain why a necromancer was forced by fey to attack us after taking one prisoner... I assume they came in, forced you to work against us for them, and decided it was OK you took one captive, and left it here for you to keep? And if you did take one captive, why do what they said and attack us?"

brvheart |

They do not know about the captive fey I have. Have you looked outside of late? They did THAT!!!!

Sparhawk. |

Sparhawk nods, "Lets go together, but first let us find out about these fey."
DM you can gloss over this in ooc if you want but basically we are going to interrogate him for anything fey related. How he caught it, what and who forced him and why, where they came from, and how he ended up involved with them, and if he knows any information on the kind of fey or their weaknesses and abilities
After the questioning, Sparhawk lifts his sword and says, "I promised you a trial. As an executor of the Pandion order I, Sir Sparhawk, find you guilty of crimes against humanity. The crimes are: attacking innocent persons without due cause, raising undead abominations, and commiserating with evil. I hereby sentence you to death."
With that, he stabs the bound cleric through the chest.
I assume auto hit and crit for coup de Grace on helpless target
Damage: 4d4 + 10 ⇒ (1, 3, 3, 3) + 10 = 20
He then turns without so much as a twitch to Seamus, "Ready, neighbor, lead the way."

Seamus Passeri |
Seamus stands and listens during the fey conversation, his mind starting to wander, his sword tip beginning to droop. As Seamus speaks of the Pandion order he expects Sparhawk to gag the prisoner to return to the village so the kidnapped lady could have him punished. Seamus nearly swallows his tongue when Sparhawk runs the man through. His eyes bulging, his mouth agape, he nods his head when Sparhawk tells him to lead the way, that was not what I was expecting.
Not sure where the door to the basement is, he first checks under the stairwell for the entrance sorry hard to tell where the stairs are on the map when he locates the entrance he proceeds with caution.
perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12

Sparhawk. |

Sparhawk winks at Seamus, "You didn't expect me to drag along an evil necromancer, did you? As a knight I reserve the right and power to administer justice according to the edicts of my order."
He follows along to the cellar after taking a look at the potions.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

brvheart |

Actually, you don't find a stairs heading down anywhere in the room.

Seamus Passeri |
frustrated that he did not find the stairwell going to the basement under the steps Seamus lifts up the bearskin F to see if there is a trap door there.

brvheart |

Underneath the bear skin is a trap door, which is locked with a padlock.

brvheart |

One of the keys opens the lock. It opens to a stairs down to the cellar. @Sparhawk, you really didn't get much useful except double talk.

Sparhawk. |

Gotcha
Sparhawk casts Light on his sword, peering down into the stairwell. "Could be trouble down there. Caan, are you able to do anything for Paletress? How and where is Autumn?"

brvheart |

A half-dozen boxes and barrels take up the majority of this underground cellar. A rough blanket lies spread on the floor the southeast corner next to a bowl of half- eaten food.
In the room is the Lady Argentea Malassene.

Sparhawk. |

Sparhawk grunts, "No, my Lady, we are your rescuers. If you are able to move please accompany us out of this cellar. I assume you have no companions down here, unwanted or otherwise?"

brvheart |

"Thank-you, good sirs. I have concerns about these winter creatures that have come here and one Izoze. Their leader I overheard was some Teb Knotten."
You don't find anything else useful in the cellar. XP for rescuing the lady 120 each.

Seamus Passeri |
after rummaging through the basement he follows Sparhawk and the lady upstairs, asking, "Shall we stay here for the night and return in the morning? I'll check these rooms, do we want to check the outbuildings all together or just a couple of us?" As the group talks he checks the rooms on the first floor.
for checking the rooms can he use the perceptions checks under the spoiler above?

Sparhawk. |

lol
"We need to rest and treat Paletress wounds, but we do need to make sure there is nothing else dangerous lurking in this cabin. Then we can board up the windows and wait the night. Be sure with your poking around not to free that captive fey,Seamus."
I suggest we secure the lady with Paletress and aurora while we make sure no more enemies in the house, then sleep?

brvheart |

The room remains dark and silent. The wardrobe contains linens, a washboard, and nothing else of interest.

Seamus Passeri |
walking out of the room Seamus declare "Well this room is safe to sleep in, lets check the next one." working in a clock-wise direction Seamus approaches the next room H8 He carefully checks the door for locks and traps if it appears clear he then opens the door.

A large fireplace takes up most of the north wall of this room , its radiant heat providing palpable relief from the cold weather outside . Cabinets and shelves line the remaining wall space, a n d four windows lookout on the wintry landscape surrounding the lodge.
Stoking the fire is a female half-orc.

Seamus Passeri |
seeing the girl care for the fire Seamus scratches his head No way she didn't hear the fighting. I hope she's not with the necromancer, I don't want any one else killed hoping his disarming approach would not cause an attack he asks "Hi I'm Seamus, are you with the bad guys or the fey or were you here in the cabin? My friends and I are here to rescue the lady they had in the basement."
just in case we need one
diplomacy: 1d20 ⇒ 8 oh well, so he's not pretty

"I am not really WITH anyone. They gave me shelter so I am here."

Hearing the conversation and Death wail, I Come to the Balcony, seeing a uncharacteristic act for a Knight putting a prisoner to death without a vote of his peers, I become Naseated at the sight and thought and faint. Apon waking, I find the group has located the lady we came for, now i want to go home, i am done, anyone who would kill a helpless opponent who is unable to honorable defend himself in single combat has no honor and must atone before I would trust my life to his protection or provide my expertise, so I gather my things to make my way home, just have to get my berrings, maybe I will wait until morning, return with the group and then part ways, that way I can report him too.

Smiling at Autumn's comment about a 'cook' Seamus continues the conversation with the young lady. "When you have a moment why don't you come out and introduce yourself to the team. We will need to secure the building, is there anything we should know? We shouldn't be here too long. Probably tonight and then we will escort the lady back to town."

brvheart |

She has a short sword and minimum.
