After finishing the boar, and resting, Sparhawk awakens early to gut and prepare the boar, packing it all away meticulously, but leaving enough for the party to feast on for breakfast. "Paletress, can you follow the horses tracks? Good chance they returned to their home."

Caan the Unfettered |

Caan kneels down next to poor Seamus and begins mumbling: "Groetus be with us, after and ever after."
Wake up Seamus, there's bacon soon!"
Spontaneously cast CLW (in place of bless): 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Content with his healing efforts, Caan gets to work preparing Snow shoes.

After Climbing at least a hundred feet into the hills, the snowy trail finally levels off. In a clearing among the trees, a large wooden lodge overlooks a ravine spanned by a long rope bridge. Smoke rises from the lodge's two snow- covered chimneys, and large wood pile is stacked a g against the outer wall.
A small out building stands east of the lodge, and a stone well nearly blanketed by snow is barely recognizable to the north. Several tracks lead southwest toward a detached stable .

Numerous horse and human tracks cross back and forth through the snow near the back porch of the lodge.

Sparhawk. |

"It might be in our best interest to wait and watch for a bit from our vantage point. So we know what we are getting into. Are any of you very good at sneaking around unnoticed?"

Seamus Passeri |
Seamus blushes a little trying to figure out how to answer the question without incriminating himself, "I used to play hide-and-seek a lot when I was a kid, so I'm pretty good and being stealthy" +7 Looking at Sparhawk and then the team he asks, "Do you want me to wander down near the house and look about?"

brvheart |

You trip a trip wire on a crossbow trap:
crossbow: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (6) + 15 = 21 damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
When the trap is triggered, the crossbow not only fires at the creature
who triggered it, but also falls from its perch on the porch, dragging a string of attached pots and pans with it.

Seamus Passeri |
feeling the tripwire that's not good just as he hears the click of the crossbow that's not good at all and feels the bolt piercing his shoulder he flinches from the pain could this idea get worse? just as the pots and pans begin banging on the porch. crud, it got worse
Seamus quickly returns to the party, "That didn't go as planned, I think we can assume they know we are here, shall we just go up and knock?" Then looking at Caan, "Anything you can do for this, brother?"

Sparhawk. |

Sparhawk rolls his eyes at the hide and seek comment, knowing full well what he means, but not seeming to be too bothered by it.
As the pots clattter her drops low and groans, "Not good... We need to move once Seamus is back and hide our tracks. His will lead them right to us."

I think that my owl can handle any scouting mission, now and in future and a fast getaway, kinda what he is trained for.
I am sure he can do it, he should have went first, but why not scout them still and hedwig can play a game of hide and go seek with them after, making them follow him while we slip past them
Hide move and Hide in low branches: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (15) + 25 = 401d20 + 25 ⇒ (20) + 25 = 45

Seamus Passeri |
As Caan pulls the crossbow quarrel out of Seamus shoulder and begins his odd chant, Seamus nods his head at Autumn's recommendation. sounds like a plan to me, we'll let Hegwig handle the scouting and I will worry about the locks we can split pick pocket duties ;) He then looks at the red puckered scar where the bolt had protruded from, moving his arm a little he tells Sparhawk "Well I'm in good enough shape to move, if that's what we are doing"

Sparhawk. |

I would assume Paletress could roll survival to do that? Aurora rolled for the owl, so I think we just waiting on what happens with the noise trap and owl decoy, and whether they notice Seamus trail and if they follow it.

brvheart |

You wait awhile and no one comes out. Now what are you going to do?

Sparhawk. |

Oh on well that works. Didn't check roll20 so didn't know nothing happened. Let's have the bird scout the lay of the land around back, then we will need to just approach.

Seamus Passeri |
Seamus, his teeth starting to chatter a little, finally stands up and says, "I don't think they are coming to us, even though they know someone is out here, so were going to need to go to them." He stands up and walking down the path, past the tripwire he missed the last time and carefully walks up on the porch, searching for any more traps, then he checks the door for traps and locks.
perception: porch: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
perception: door: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27

brvheart |

You find no more traps on the porch nor the door. It is unlocked.

Seamus Passeri |
Sariel waves to the rest of the party, signifying that they should follow. As the remainder of the team comes to the edge of the porch, Seamus, holding his crossbow, loaded in his right hand, opens the door with his left and looks in the building.
perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15

brvheart |

Seamus opens the door and there are five bandits in the room. One of which takes a swing at him! Roll init Seamus.
short sword: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22 damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
confirm crit: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 extra damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
init bandits: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Paletress, the Laughing Blade |

Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Sword out, Paletress shrieks with mad laughter, bursting into motion the instant a sword pokes out the door.
Rage: +2 str/dex, AC now at 20. Will be 21 as long as two or more bandits are adjacent to her, +1 to attack as well
She moves into the room, as far as she can to get two or more bandits in reach, and swings.
Longsword with Power Attack: 1d20 + 5 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 5 - 1 + 1 = 211d8 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
With a peal of thunderous laughter, she cleaves into her chosen victim before turning a wild-eyed glare upon the nearest enemy, baring her teeth in a rictus grin.
"HA HA HA YOU LOT ARE ADORABLE!"

brvheart |

Initiative Order Round One
Paletress
Sparhawk
Seamus
Caan

Sparhawk. |

I can sort of see the map on the phone but manipulating anything is near impossible.
Seeing a banding so close inside the window, Sparhawk puts away his crossbow and pulls out his Glaive, smashing the glass and stabbing at him.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Damage: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Since I was hiding to the side out of sight hopefully I got a bonus like no dex

Paletress, the Laughing Blade |

Paletress' actions detailed in previous post. She's now right inside the door facing down three bandits, though one is either heavily wounded or dead...
Figured with my roll on initiative I could just say what she was doing as it would pre-empt everyone else. :)

brvheart |

Are you guys bothering to consider the distance you were back? Only Seamus was up there at the beginning of the fight. Paletress knocks down the one in the doorway so you don't have a target Caan and Sparhawk, they have been watching you through the windows since Seamus tripped the trap. You miss. They were not coming out, but they were on guard and at the ready. Seamus and Autumn are up.
