Ravens opens the door.
As Ravens reaches for the door Simon says, "Wait."
Assuming Ravens complies Simon steps up to examine the door and surrounding area for traps.

Skiron rides through the mouth of the passage astride his nightmare hound, which moves through the air as though it were walking along ground.

Simon Demarkus |

I assume it's closing off the hallway and not moving back toward the main group. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
"Ravens, This way!"

"Not I, more's the pity. Mithral for my armor but my blade is mere steel, other than its magic, which does us no favors at this time. Nor do I have a Mask suited to the task of boring stone, alas."

Hey folks, I apologize for today. I could not get on the paizo site
Ravens: Guess what, after probing around you find an area that looks promising and you are able to find another possible entrance.
Simon: That wall has a hardness of 8 and 1800 HP, you may be there awhile.
I will update the map shortly

Jeneva follows Ravens to the new egress. "Shall we toss something down this corridor to trigger any more traps or ambushes? We've no shortage of boulders to roll, I suppose."

"good a plan as any. "
Simon makes an "after you" motion.

Jeneva nods and returns to the first room, hauls out the nearest stone, heads back to the most recently-discovered access, and pushes the stone down the hole, letting it roll until it stops or something happens.
If nothing happens, she retrieves a second stone in the same manner before heading down; she might need another attempt with more visual confirmation.

Light from the entrance shows that this tunnel is extremely long and heavily decorated in a riot of bright colors and patterns. The walls and ceilings have been coated with plaster and painted with a variety of unusual scenes featuring strange rooms, odd creatures and exotic locations. The floor is decorated with mosaic tilework which features an obvious "path" of bright red tiles that wind across the ground. Not a hint of the original stonework is visible under the heavy decoration.
The roof here is 20' tall and the small path of red tiles is about 2' wide

Skiron takes in the tunnel and its decor with keenest interest.
What other Knowledge check(s), if any should I make vis-a-vis the tunnel and paintings, and would you say there's a Singular Quality at work here (add +4 to my roll below if so)?

cows grazing in a field

Slaves human, elf, orc. And beastman hybrids working at various tasks

a torture chamber full of tools of torture and Evo including a large cell door with the hands of some ferocious beast gripping the bars

Skiron. these are obviously the scribblings of a madmanthey make no sense whatsoever
Simon. the incredible detail of the paintings hid something from casual observation that now seems obvious a pair of robed wolf headed figures are painted on the wall holding an elaborate bronze chest between themselves however the chest is no painting but an actual metal box embedded in the plaster extending only a few inches from the surface

Simon Demarkus |

Simon stops searching and looks closely at the wall,
"This mosaic isn't a mosaic. It's an actual small chest embedded in the wall. "
Simon examines the box closely. Specifically looking to see if there is any indications of traps. Specifically on the lid of the box that I presume it has.

Ravens tries to read the message in the tiles. What sort of check to figure them out?
If/when he fails to decipher them, he points them out to others.
Actually Ravens you can read it i have put what you can read in the campaign info section The message winds along the red tile path, there is more if you were to follow the path.
Simon: You notice that the chest is opened by a stud on top that causes the front of the chest to swing down. Also from your insane perception checks from earlier, you know that you are standing on top of a pit trap and there is is pit trap to the north of you.[ooc]If you look at the map south is the way you came in, north heads further into the tomb.

Simon Demarkus |

Standing clear of the pit traps and making sure his companions fob the same, Simon levitates a pebble to press the stud on top. Hopefully, opening the box. He'd like to open it from afar if he can.

Ravens the Birdmaster |

Ravens reads aloud what he sees. The scorn in his voice is not easily masked.
"ACERCERAK CONGRATULATES YOU ON YOUR POWERS OF OBSERVATION SO MAKE OF THIS WHATEVER YOU WISH, FOR YOU WILL BE MINE IN THE END NO MATTER WHAT!
Go back to the tormentor or through the arch, and the second great hall you'll discover. Shun green if you can, but nights good color is for those of great valor. If shades of red stand for blood the wise will not need sacrifice aught but a loop of magical metal- you're well along your march."
Ravens looks around, especially to the smart ones, to see if they have any insights.
"This place sucks. No babes at all."

![]() |

"The babies are all in the mass grave down the other side of the hill, didn't you see them?"
"Anyways, if anyone has an enchanted ring, something somewhere may demand that as an entry fee - quite the premium. 'Night's good color' could be black, purple, blue...or red or purest white, in some realms...but not this one, never mind. As for 'the tormentor'..." Skiron shrugs, and with the tip of his halberd points at the mosaic(?) of the torture chamber and caged beast. "Would that be this?"
I look around the chamber with detect secret doors.

Ta'ruk |

Ta'ruk sees the traps that Simon has found. "As we suspected, the path leads directly through the traps. Nothing is going to be easy. I think we should take our chances with the tormentor."

Simon Demarkus |

Ravens looks around.
"Maybe we should dig this entire place out. We walk through no halls at all, but dig around them. Only after the walls collapse do we explore for what we are looking for," Ravens suggests.
"Though not a bad idea, it would take an excessive amount of time unless you have something creative in mind. "
