So I may have 1 more player, but say he does not what would you like?
Say he does not...what?
As for what we'd like, I can see a few gaps we could potentially fill:
- decent healer
- thief
- various out-of-combat specialists (in the vein of Rokugan's Courtier, DRAGONLANCE's Noble or Master, some update of the DARK SUN Trader, or 4 Winds Gaming's silly Voyageur)
- outdoorsman (Druid, Ranger, etc)
- a subtle mage (think Green Ronin's Witch, if you're familiar with it)

Fabric rips between sight, mind, and screen as Ravens enters the thread.
"I summon myself from the aether and into this thread! Let the circuits tremble and the pixels quake at my coming!"
Ravens dusts himself off and removes he silver cord attached at the waist.
"Prisoners, eh? Dark intent, you say? I shall ponder the depths of my black soul and darkest intents for a character worthy of this group."
Ravens draws a large stone from the aether and places it near him. He dusts off the rock, has a sit, and begins to ponder. His chin rests upon this clenched fist and that upon a bowed elbow upon knee.
Both the build and the character/personality are still forming. I know it will be a heavy handed creation, but his voice is not yet fully known to me.
Ravens ponders this thread, this recruitment, this wretched hive...of scum and villainy.

This is TCG.
Created an Alias. I'll clean the sheet up before the game so it's easier to read.
If I end up not being the party locksmith i'll move some skill points around, but otherwise I'm good.

Simon Demarkus |

My name is Simon. I’m a killer for hire. I don’t really care who the target is if the price is right, but mages are my specialty. You’d be amazed what people will shell out for a dead mage. Most people think it’s hard, but not as much as you might think. Most of them are arrogant prats who think they’re above the rest of us. Hubris is far more their killer than I. I’m just the one who brings it to their attention. For a moment anyway, just before they go to the Boneyard.
See, the trick is to get close and keep them from getting a spell off in your face. When you look like I do and are as seemingly unarmed as I am that first part is easier than you think. Thanks to my bastard parentage I look goodly and nice. People will take a lot on face value. “You look angelic, so you must be nice.“ Trusting idiots, but it makes my job easier so who am I to complain?
I don’t know who my parents are, but whoever they are doesn’t matter. I was left on the doorstep of a monastery in the Minata islands. The monks raised me and taught me to fight. When I was old enough to ask questions the sensei told me I had blood of angels in me. Well, that’s nice and all, but it’ll only take you so far. I guess I enjoyed it while I was there, but once I got old enough to start understanding how the world really worked I had to go. Plus my magic started manifesting and there may have been an incident with an incinerated initiate. I decided it’d be better for me to leave in the middle of the night. Of course I made the body look like it was me and that the other kid ran off. Wouldn’t want a bunch of monks tailing me my whole life. Anyway, I digress. We were talking about killing mages.
The second part to killing mages is a little trickier, but again not as much as you’d think. Once you get in close and they decide they want to cast a nasty something-or-other in your face you punch them in the throat. It’s crude, but effective. You can also slice across a hand, box their ears, a sharp punch to the gut, break their nose, or that sort of thing. The throat punch is my favorite though. They never see it coming and the look on their face is priceless as their magic fizzles. Then you run them through with your blade a few times and that’s that. Search through their belongings, because mages carry some seriously good s**t on them, and go collect your money.
That brings us to how I ended up in this Gorum’s a**hole of a prison. Well, the details aren’t that important. Lets just say one of the downsides of killing mages is that sometimes they organize. Killing a cabal is much harder than killing one at a time when they’re not expecting it. Long story-short I killed the kin of one of this cabal and they came after me in a big way. The fight ended up leveling part of this city and a bunch of people died. Of course those Jacka**es blamed the whole thing on me. It wasn’t my fireballs that blew up the orphanage, but whatever. They convinced the magistrate that I tricked them into doing it, which is technically true, but I wasn’t the one who threw the fireball. That was actually kinda funny. I got the one mage to fireball his buddy on accident. The fact that it was an orphanage and caught fire was just a bonus. Anyway, as I was saying, they blamed the whole thing on me and called it “crimes against humanity” or some such. I’m not even really human so that shouldn’t even apply. Pansies. They were just afraid that if I were killed I’d get myself resurrected and come after them. So they stuck me in this cesspool instead. Charming, right? So here I am. Sitting in this cell talking to you. You’re not great company, but a man’s gotta keep himself busy somehow.
Edit: Made some minor character edits. Little less Wis little more int.

Welcome Painlord. It looks like we have a full table.

I was going to say that perhaps Rosa could make a cameo appearance as prison staff (it's a somewhat easier role to see that character in, anyways)....

So we have two gish-y casters both Sorcerers, a Barbarian with a rather non-standard bag of tricks, and an Alchemist-esque with some summoning abilities and a rather unique worldview, plus whatever our birdmaster becomes.
Should be quite interesting indeed....

That is an interesting idea have 1 group of players be prison guards and another inmates. Seems like it would open up some very unique roleplaying opportunities.

DMTFY |

So I thought I would give you all some background on myself along with my general style of play.
I have been playing RPG's since that magical summer between 8th and 9th grade, coincidentally that was the year of my first job in which I made $3.35/hr and spent most of it at the video arcade.
I played up until 1998 when I suddenly became too cool for D&D. Fast forward to 2013 when I accepted a job here in the S.F. Bay Area. I reunited with alot of my HS friends who were playing some game named Pathfinder and well I have been going ever since.
Unlike the majority of DM's you read about on these here boards. I truly enjoy it when players "beat" me. If I was to tell you that I am well versed on 50% of the rules in pathfinder, well it must be true cause it's on the internet right 8>). Seriously though when I make a mistake do not hesitate to let me know.

Oh, geez, I hadn't thought of that. That's been done.

*Raises hand sheepishly* Uh, did I mention that I was dubbed "the best rules lawyer we've got" by someone in my local Pathfinder Society group who'd been playing since the "redbox" era (admittedly, that group has always been rather small and fell into an indefinite coma a few weeks ago, and the guy who said that died a year or two before), and that within that group I am known as "Thoth" (admittedly, that was the name I introduced myself to them with just to see how long I could run with it, but apparently I then went and earned it)?

I have a feeling that would end very differently with this group....

DMTFY |

So given that this will be my first attempt at DMing in a looong time you are probably saying "Why aren't you doing a low level game" I enjoy games around these levels and higher and what better way to learn than jumping in the deep end and going for it.
I enjoy a rules light/rule of cool type game where the players are the stars and I take a seat in the back and go along for the ride. That being said if for some reason you have not at least heard about the ToH let me enlighten you. It is vicious in the worst possible way, the chances of surviving this module are slim to none and I will not be pulling punches. If you survive you will have serious bragging rites.
Once we get a little more settled I will give you all an outline on how this whole prison thing is going to work.
@IHIYC: Great link BTW, So your the rules lawyer good it will save me time 8>).

Ravens stands and stretches, kicking the large stone back into the aether. His skin crawls and moves, his clothing and armor change, the forces around and within him change.

So let me give you a rundown on how this first part is supposed to go, this will be a complete sandbox in which you are free to interact with each other the guards or other prisoners. I thought it might give you all a chance to get a feel for one another's style of play.As far as PvP, I understand you all are rotten bastards but let's not shiv another player 8>) it's not fun for the guy who gets shived. There is no time limit on this part we will just go until you are ready to receive your mission
I will not be using a map for this part but I do have one for the tomb as soon as I figure out Roll20.

How are we contained exactly? A lot of us have magic and other skills. Antimagic cells? Antimagic shackles? etc

If I recall the basic description, we're on an Abyssal layer, our jailers are powerful fiends. That's a pretty strong deterrent on its own, especially if you don't have a coherent escape plan, access to thorough resources (we don't start the game with our gear, for example), and are too low-level to plane shift.

I rolled up a totally sweet Lothario build with the Dangling Participle archetype.
I mean even if you're completely successful in your seduction and she can shapechange she's still really a snake from the waist down. Temporary alterations or otherwise.
I dunno. It's magic and I'm sure you'll be fine. Unless she decides to cancel the shapechange mid-coitus. It just strikes me as an awkward position that I wouldn't want my favorite appendage in.
Hope you have a regenerate spell handy. :-)

Why couldn't she be the other kind of marilith, with the snake part on top and the 6-limbed lady part on the bottom?!?
