Ravens is going to be that guy isn't he? The one whose mouth moves before his brain wakes up nine times out of ten? LOL.
Always good for comic relief.

Apparently. What's so scary about being held in a devil-prison surrounded by pain seeking captors while your soul and mind are wracked constantly by those to drive you insane?
To be fair, he has yet to be whipped in his enchanted, sturdy Burlap Back of Comfortyness. Dibs on that idea for RPGSS. I'm sure it blocks devilic pain whips, right?
Only one way to find out for sure...who's with me!?

Orthos wrote:I'm just waiting until he tries to pull something like that on Jeneva =)Uh...do you mean the devil whipping or the trash talking from Ravens?
LMAO
The trash talking/flirting.

Hey Ravens, could you put your stats in a nice easy to read format. Like say Simon has 3 posts above you
Definitely. I'll have it up after morning meetings.
The trash talking/flirting.
Pfft. You think Ravens is going to flirt with a girl with less than 4 arms? Please...he has standards.

Pardon me; my computer and I both picked a suboptimal time to have problems.
No Worries, I just did not want you to experience what happened to me in a PbP game. I went to sleep and upon waking, eating my breakfast. I checked online and there were 82 new posts...This was on a weekend

We're excited.

I'm running out of escape ideas. The next thing I'm going to try is sneaking into snake lady's room when she's on patrol. At this point I'm not sure what else to do.

Orthos |

Going to mention this to the rest of the group before heading off on a likely suicide mission? =)
Honestly it's a pretty tight ship. Jeneva's watching for opportunities and trying to get a gauge on the enemy without actively engaging and risking blowing their cover, but it seems everything is pretty covered, except for when the marilith's out on patrol. They've got guards and guards to spare.
Her only other idea right now is to kick up some kind of brawl and try to make a move while the guards quell it, but she hasn't thought up a way of reliably instigating a big enough fight, hence why she hasn't mentioned it to the group. (That and I've been working.)

Twilight is a beautiful word and a lovely time of day - pity about that, uh, recent lowbrow phenomenon sullying the word a little, but we can't permit it any lasting traction. Me, I prefer to associate it more with the wonderful board game Twilight Imperium, which I was rather heavily involved with while that crap-parade was making its way through town.

If I had my choice the whole cast and crew of that swill would be down here with you guys.
Twilight...the movies cast? With us!?!?
Uhm...remember this?
One other thing folks, If any of this dark stuff going on in the prison is making you uncomfortable let me know. I will tone it down to whatever makes you comfortable. Just so everyone knows I will not be describing rape or other scenes equally distasteful online
I thought there were limits to the horrors you would subject us to.
/me puts foot down.

Well then, like I said, stick with Twilight Imperium. The Embers of Muuat know how to throw a good slave revolt, and the Ghosts of Creuss could warp in and pilot the getaway ship when it was all over!

Don't sweat it Orthos, Friday afternoon till Monday we are on hiatus. i.e Yes you get to have a life 8>).Anyone is welcome to post over the weekend, but the story will not advance significantly till everyone is available.
Which reminds me, the only purpose this part you are in now serves is to let your characters interact with one another as opposed to hanging out at "Ye olde adventurer bar". Besides you guys would just destroy the place.
If everyone is ready we will move on to part 2.

I'm ready for Part 2. I'm looking for gaps in the defenses, but an anti-magic plane with an army of fiend guardians and a deathtrap ledge is a pretty efficient prison.

Likewise ready. The only test Jeneva could presumably do is to see if the prison's magic stops her Rage from taking effect (not likely but she has zero Spellcraft and who knows with these weird custom spells ;) ), but she can operate without it if it comes to that, and she doesn't want to show her hand too soon.

With a name like Exclusive Essence, I'm guessing Dear Leader borrowed it from a FORGOTTEN REALMS sourcebook, and it originally began with with the word "Elminster's" (not to mention the function is kind of evocative of how Forgotten Realms magic works).
I'm quite ready for part 2.

Jeneva you are quite correct in that your rage will function

Actually it's from a 3PP supplement from 2E, along with that cool whip spell the demons used on you. "Fiery Lash of Unbearable Torment". Ok then I will move on to Part 2 in which our heroes Receive their directive and head off to the dreaded ToH.

At a desk at the far end a highbacked chair is turned so that the occupant is blocked from your sight. a voice that sounds like a southern gentleman asks you all. I trust none of y'all are enjoying your stay here?
Great. This is a plantation....

Correction: We come here as big rocks, and they try to wear us into grains of sand.
As my father likes to say: Non Illegitimi Carborundum (which, by the way, is actually terrible Latin)!
