sorry, busy days again... I'm fine with running Fires of Karamoss (bought the scenario already). But I'll be on vacation next week, so I don't think there's any point starting it before that. I hope I'll be able to post from Greece, but GM'ing requires a bit more effort (and a laptop, which I wasn't planning to take along)

Okay, no problems, Jyri.
How would everyone feel about me running Test of Tar Kuata (it's a 3-7, so out of subtier with the 4 character adjustment) in the intervening 2 weeks (as well as RoW)? I'll promise to be gentle (within the rules).

I'm good as long as you don't feel like your gm -ing is being taxed from running two games. I wish I could offer to help gm, but my schedule right now wouldn't allow it if I wanted to.

SMH, we'll it seems that the let's slow down the PBP gang is ready to go full throttle ahead.
As always, there are 2 rules, 1) Keep the band together, and 2) have fun.
I am in for gaming, but the planing, replanning, and re-replanning is not something I do well. I'd just rather play.
So Wardstone is on the back burner for now, as the 'slow down speed up gang' won't be able to keep up with 4 scenarios (Damien is GMing 2 which is crazy).
As always I am up for anything. Let go roll some dice!

Damien Wilmann |

Heh. Yeah, sorry about all those changes everyone. I just caught a glimpse of the Sky Key and now I can't let it go... would be amazing to get it all!
If you'd like to GM, John, you can always do Test of Tar Kuata. I'm not precious about it. I just figured I'd pound through it and hopefully finish about the same time as Frostfur (which you were waiting for in any case, so Vox can play). If I didn't finish in time, you could still pick up Wardstone immediately after Frostfur anyway (still only 3 games then).

Sounds good, but I'll have to bring in a different character for either of those, 'cause I'd like to play Gunari in #6–18: From Under Ice with Lort.
since we're talking a 3-7, that could be either Trask (at the low end), Faustus Sulpicius Voralius (Hellknight of the Silver Crusade), or maybe Lady Natalia Landros (of the Sovereign Court -- she and Finarin may have interesting conversations).
Since we've already got a summoner, I won't be bringing in Dierdre and Lord Snappy (she's a druid). Jyri, are you updating Amaranti for Unchained, or leaving him APG?

![]() |

That'd be fine. I love playing Faustus... though he's even better in person. :P
He is currently level 6, I believe... I'll have to get him up to date. I suppose this makes sense since both Finarin and Gunari will be out, given that John will be running?
:D
Either Lady Natalia or Faustus would be good for the group (both are melee-oriented divine casters), but Faustus is definitely more fun. Both are level 6, both deal really good damage (Faustus with his Bane ability, Natalia with her power attacking nodachi).
But, for sure, Faustus will answer the call.

"I have to ask you all one question. Do you have your books in order?"

"Ha! I was expecting Gunari," exclaims Lort jovially, "I'm afraid I spilled mead on my homework. My mind serves as my record anyway. Heh. I spilled mead on that, too!"
Lort seems to be dressed in his formal gear for today, and he unsubtly shows off his new belt, "I think I might have a receipt for this somewhere. Here, let me look for it at the bottom of this mug..." Lort chugs his drink and calls for two more.

Sorry for the relative absence today everyone! Its been a busy one, this is the first chance I have had to sit down in the last 17 hours...
We just completed our annual fundraising banquet for the pregnancy center I am on the board for. I had to leave work early to drive up north so I could be here for it. And since I had to leave work early, there was a bajillion (engineering term) things that I had to make sure were ready so that there wouldn't be any issues with me gone.
What a day...
To top it off, there was some primo opportunity for some RP in 2 games, and I couldn't just settle for a quick wayfinder post. Hopefully I did them both justice... It can be so hard sometimes to put onto paper (internet paper) what is going on in your head.

Hey guys, sorry for the delays in my posting this weekend. With traveling back to my hometown for mother's day, seeing my family, and traveling back home at the end of the weekend, there hasn't been much time for posting.
I should be back to my normal posting schedule tomorrow, but I wanted to stop in to the forums and let everyone know why I've been silent most of this weekend.

Heya... Doing a little recruiting as well as just posting my schedule.
Hope you all don't mind. However, I have almost hooked a Twin Cities local that is a blast to play with (Ray Albrecht) and his ... not sure what.... Kuhlaid.
If that doesn't work for you all, just lemme know.

Aside from misgivings about the name of his character, sounds great to me! If we have 6 at the muster point, then we can get straight in. Does he want to play for the ones you GM as well? If so, we'll need to swap contact details...
... speaking of, can everyone going to GenCon email me your phone number please? I'll then post it on a private Google spreadsheet. That way, we can get together more easily (ie. at all). I'll also post a private something or other for us to post some photos to (if you like) to also help with the getting together thing!

With any luck I will be killing my triathlon training, so I won't be nearly as fat as I usually am... Middle aged white guy... Check. Guess I can't train that away.

He won't be able to ... he's got the same schedule that I have (tier 1, actually rooming with me)[/ooc]
He's a lot of fun as a GM, too, so he's another option for you guys. Heck, most of the GMs there would be fun.

I think we have another player. Jon Dehning (my VC) is chiming in that if Ray can make it, so can he!
He'll be playing either his "Man of Influence" THUNDERLIPS! (barbarian), or this gnome cleric. Probably the latter, I would guess. This would be the gnome cleric that Faustus lifted up so that he could like the lion face in Library of the Lion.

Okay, but if John and Chris play Returned to the Sky, we've already got a full complement. I can ask Ryan to sit it out if we really want, but he's flying in all the way from Australia...
7-02, on the other hand, we have 2 free slots for (I think John said he couldn't make it for the weekend).
We've got free player slots for all other games, though! Does Jon want in on the other games or is he GMing the same schedule as you and Ray?

The four in my room all have the exact same schedule. Almost like we planned it. :D
If we're full, I am sure they'll be fine. Sort of sounds like Ray will only be in for one of the two games, so we'll figure it all out. It's all good.

No idea about banned races. It seems they like giving them out as special boons for GMs who run at events, so they'll probably stick to that. Last season, they allowed some that were previously boons - so fingers crossed!
Psionics will make a recurrence, though! Not sure how much you've heard about Occult Adventures, but a reasonably workable form of psionics are included there... and it's the GenCon release! I'm not sure what I think about it, but you can check out the playtest for a preview. Obviously, some things will change post playtest (fingers crossed for a better kineticist - such a boring and underpowered class as it is) but it will give you a very good feel for things.
I'm pretty sure this will be legal for PFS play as the playtest was also legal (prior to November 2014).
