sorry Torvald Jawhar is correct; you're dying

male Snows of Summer

Ok guys sorry I had to pick through the threads carefully with all the re-rolls ect..Here's the sequence of actions picking up right after thug 2 hit Jawhar with a glancing blow.

Torvald attempted to down/draw his elixir and was knocked back un-conscious by thug 2's AoO.

Thug 3 moves flanks Jawhar and cuts him down

Craggark hit boss man for 10hp! (but does not confirm crit)

Bosses turn...didn't take will now: att: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22dmg: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

The boss slices his axe across Craggarks arm.

Next Jawhar missed his stabilize roll (now at -3)
After that Jamir just missed skewering thug 2

Jamir lunges forward while taunting the thug but his blade is deflected by the man's shield
next it was thug 2's turn and he'll sheath his weapon provoking an AoO should Jamir want it. He then does what's under the spoiler if he's still standing

thug 2 action:
Thug 2 sheaths his weapon and attempts to grapple Jamir cmb: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18 Jamir is now grappled if thug 2 didn't go down with the AoO (thug 2 had 11hp)

Next Torvald failed his stabilize roll he's now at -6hp
After Torvald it's Thug 3's turn to act
The third thug advances on Craggark and attempts to cut him down from behind. att: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19dmg: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Craggark sees the axe fall and feels the viscous bite of the steel...he knows he in trouble...
It's Craggark's turn then the bosses..sorry guys I really didn't want this..... PS give me your map grid coordinates Craggark and Jamir so I can update the map

Craggark grimaces at the two axe slashes and put his back into the corner of the still-standing charred wall.

Come to me, you two bastards the half-orc thinks, pulling his shield completely around his body and preparing to fend off the next incoming blows.

"I've got these two taken care of, Jamir. Let me know if you need help handling yours."

Craggark steps into square O2 and enters into full defence. (stats modified in by-line)

Rapier, AoO: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 81d4 ⇒ 3

Once grappled (Dodging Panache would not help enough, apparently), on his next turn he will use "Derring-Do" to boost his escape artist check to escape the grapple.

The third thug runs by Jamir, as Jamir is trying to twist himself from the grasp of thug two. (note in the future:Creatures with the grappled condition can't make attacks of opportunity. male Snows of Summer

Craggark lands a massive blow on the third Thug drooping him like a rag doll. He switches his stance to dodge blows easier as the boss closes in. The boss was in O4 so you couldn't have cleaved him anyway. He 5ft's to N3 and then takes a swing.
The boss rears back,you're a bit of a braggart, how bout' I cut you down to size? His axe swings at Craggark's mid section. att: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18dmg.: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 Oh my goodness! Dodge for the win?! for some reason my herolab isn't recording it but I count Craggack's AC as +4 armor, +2 dex, +2 shield, +1 dodge =19 right?That's how martial flex works right?
The boss thinks his blow will land true disemboweling the cocky 1/2 orc; however Craggark nimbly dodges the blow at the last second..

Jamir from everything I see on the forums: retaining the grappled condition is a remnant of the old 3.5 system. It's vague but, it says you only need to escape the pinned condition. If I could house-rule this (and I can't it being PFS) I'd rule if you break the pinned condition by 5 or more you break the grappled condition as well. However, that's not raw. What appears to be raw and the way I'm interpreting it is if you succeed any escape artist or CMB check against opponents CMD, then you've effectively escaped both conditions. Therefore:
Focusing the goon's attention on his legs, Jamir takes him by surprise when he yanks his shield-arm free and slaps the thug lightly across his nose. The halfling manages to get his feet back under himself as the thug just barely catches his arm again. Jamir quickly yanks his sleeve away tearing the cuff of his best shirt and the last remaining thug looses his grip.
Frustrated, the second Thug takes his hands up in the double axe handle position in an attempt to knock Jamir silly..However, this is just the opening the little halfling was waiting for. Thug 2 is taking an unarmed attack to inflict non lethal dmg. Jamir get's an AoO
The thug's blow comes down hard toward Jamir's head after Jamir took his opportune swipe .. T 2 att: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13non-lethal dmg: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Jamir steps aside the blow..The flow of the battle starts to change.
It's Craggark's turn Jawhar is at -5hp and still dying

Liberty's Edge

Jamir dances back, laughing in his adversary's face as the goon lunges toward him again.

Win or lose, live or die, this is what I signed up for when I jumped ship in Absalom!

I would still like to find out what's in that chest, though.

Jamir sees an opening, and strikes.

Rapier, AoO: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 131d4 ⇒ 2

The thug telegraphs a wild, desperate punch, and if there were anyone watching, they would see Jamir step towards the blow and twist...

Underfoot Assault!

The swing goes over Jamir's head by almost a foot, or would have if the little swashbuckler were still there.

The thug looks around wildly for his prey, but can't see him anywhere! It's impossible! Where could he have...

"Perhaps you are looking for me?"

The goon looks for the voice coming from behind him. Nobody's there.

"Down here, my unwashed adversary! It is I, Jamir Montajay, of the Cassomir Montajays! I am your new shadow!"

Thug 2 looks over his shoulder and down, and sees Jamir grinning back up at him, far to close for comfort.

"Boo!"

Jamir and Thug 2 now share a square. If I can't do both the AoO and Underfoot Assault, I'll just do the US.

male Snows of Summer

you can do both actions Jamir. The AoO is triggered by the unarmed attack while the underfoot assault is triggered by your attacker missing. Interested to see what Craggark does with the boss next!

male Snows of Summer

Can the boss take his turn now? Or is there something else that needs clarifying? If I can go please let me know.

Your positions are thus..please correct me if you believe otherwise. Two turns ago Craggark moved to O2 and went full defense while still having cleave as his martial flex feat. The next turn he hit and drooped thug 3 with a crit and used his move action to switch his martial flex feat to dodge. the boss moves up N3 and swings at Craggark just barely missing because of his new feat. On Craggark's latest turn he power attacks and misses the boss choosing not to use a move action or 5ft step. (everything ok with this? Is there anything wrong with this summary of events?)

On Jamir's last turn of events the following happened. He used escape artist and wiggled free from the pin ending his turn in square J2. Next thug two tried to un-armed strike him. This allowed Jamir an AoO (which he missed) and then the thug's strike missed which allowed Jamir to use his underfoot assault class ability moving into thug 2's space I-3.

It's now the bosses turn (unless u guys say otherwise)
It's the end of the 6th round of combat.

I have initiative like this at the top of the 7th round
(your positions and HP next to your name)
Jawhar (needs to roll stabilize) (I-2 -5hp)
Jamir (I-3 12hp)
Thug 2 (I-3 11hp)
Torvald (out cold but stable)(H-2 -6hp)
Craggark (O-2 3hp)
Boss (N-3 8hp)

I'll proceed once every active combatant approves.

Thug grunts as he moves away from Jamir. Jamir stands next to him now his rapier dripping with blood.

still need Craggark to clarify his last action before I take the bosses turn...then it will be Jamir's turn

The boss located in M-3 takes a swing with his axe at Craggark att: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22dmg: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 sees Craggark wobble but not fall. He snarls as he takes a 5ft step back toward his ally Boss is now in L-3: it's Jamir's turn, Craggark is disabled (A disabled character may take a single move action or standard action each round (but not both, nor can he take full-round actions, but he can still take swift, immediate, and free actions). He moves at half speed. Taking move actions doesn’t risk further injury, but performing any standard action (or any other action the GM deems strenuous, including some free actions such as casting a Quicken Spell spell) deals 1 point of damage after the completion of the act. Unless the action increased the disabled character’s hit points, he is now in negative hit points and dying.)

Jamir takes a 5-foot step to J-4, and draws his alchemist's fire.

"You like potions, big man? Try this one - a gift from my friend Torvald!"

Jamir throws the alchemist's fire at the boss.

Boom!: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 201d6 ⇒ 4

Jawhar, if you've got anything left, Ask Sarenrae to make this bastard burn!

male Snows of Summer

Thug 2 takes an AoO with a shield bash as Jamir throws the alchemist fire AoO: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (18) + 2 - 4 = 16non lethal dmg: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 the thug misses with his opportunity attack but is unfazed and tries to grapple Jamir cmb: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (8) + 2 - 4 = 6 [ooc] this provokes an AoO from Jamirfrustrated, the thug takes a 5ft step to K-3 now back to back with his boss.
Craggark you can go before Jamir as I don't think Jamir can drop thug 2 with his AoO even with a crit. Btw I looked up if you can use a shield for an AoO and it appears you can. Thug 2 is at full AC because he regains his AC from his shield on his turn and he attacked with it on Jamir's turn. It's Craggark's turn but Jamir get's an AoO against thug 2 : locations are: Thug 2 (K-3), Boss (L-3), Craggark (N-4), Jamir (J-4)..After Craggark and Jamir's AoO the boss start's his turn on fire

Craggark's grim expression belies his slow blood loss and his desire to end this.

Craggark steps to M4 and takes a slash at the leader with his cestus. He will dip to -1 after this action, buoyed only (temporarily) by orc ferocity.

Cestus attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 171d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

male Snows of Summer

Craggark's blow gets past the bosses shield but is turned aside by the man's chain armor. The boss is burning alive reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 he pats at the flames furiously but fails to extinguish them before they burn him further fire dmg.: 1d6 ⇒ 3 it's Jamir's turn, don't forget Jamir also has an AoO against the thug 2. The boss is no longer on fire and stays in L-3

I thought I could take the 5-foot step to be able to draw & throw the alchemist's fire without triggering an attack of opportunity, the way they did to take their potions - it doesn't matter now, but after the combat I'd like to figure out what I got wrong there.

If an unconscious character can defer his turn in the initiative order, Jawhar, please defer!

Jamir stabs at Thug 2 as he grabs at the halfling again.

Rapier, AoO: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 71d4 ⇒ 2

Jamir sees Craggark's attack deflected by the boss's chainmail and realizes that there will be no last-minute, heroic victory for them. He briefly considers withdrawing to give himself time to think - a tactical retreat, not an escape.

But if I move out of their reach at all, these goons will collect their bounties for dead Pathfinders with the bodies of my friends.

Nor could I trust these murderers to spare my friends' lives if I were to surrender.

No, they have left us with no choice but the choice that is the only one I could ever make - to go down kicking and fighting, and leave the bastards with scars that will pain them for the rest of their days, may they be short and filled with tears.

"Craggark, my friend, we had a good run, did we not?"

"That is why I think our friends deserve the chance to die on their feet with us, don't you agree?"

Jamir takes a five-foot step back to J-3. Now that Thug 2 is not immediately threatening Jawhar, Jamir pulls out his smelling salts and cracks them open under Jawhar's nose.

Jawhar is immediately conscious and staggered. Totally worth an AoO on Jamir if it provoked. GM, please describe the expressions on the bad guys' faces if possible!

"You have one chance, my friend. Channel your goddess's power or cast a spell, but you, Craggark, and Torvald need healing quickly!"

He turns back to the goons.

"Last chance, you miserable, bottom-feeding bastards. Run!"

I am not sure if it is possible for an unconscious character to delay or not. If so, I definitely would. If not, I'll have to hope the bad guys don't attack me in the interim.

Jawhar's eyes pop open, seeing Jamir's frenzied expression hovering over his face.

His mind remains clouded to current events, but he remembers that the team was in very dire straits.

"Sarenrae! This weak servant requires your aid. Please bring your healing light upon the instruments of your divine will and allow us to continue bringing glory to your name."

Not even attempting to get up on an elbow, Jawhar grabs his holy symbol and reaches inside of himself to bring forth the healing magics of Sarenrae.

Channel Energy to heal. Exclude both bad guys.

Here is what I believe is the current map, set up in Google Slides. Those of us still mobile can drag and drop our own tokens (or anyone else's, but that would be rude). GM, you should be able to move everyone - including to correct any placement I got wrong. I have a feeling this will be useful if Jamir and the baddies will be chasing around the board for a little while yet.

I just noticed a typo in my move from this morning - it says I stepped back to "J-3" when I meant to type I-3! I wasn't in J-3 to begin with, and of course that wasn't where I wanted to go since it still leaves me adjacent to thug 2. Not asking for a retcon - it really was a typo.

male Snows of Summer

OK here's a re-cap of the last 7-8 actions..
1. The boss hit Craggark and reduced him to 0hp then moved to L-3
2.Jamir took a 5ft step to J-4 and drew an alchemist fire and threw it (provoking an AoO from T2 that missed) hitting the boss for 4hp
3. Thug 2 (located in J-3) tries to grapple Jamir again (provoking an AoO from Jamir that missed): the grapple attempt fails and the Thug 5ft steps to K-3
4. Craggark 5ft steps to M-4 and swings with his cestus missing the boss and causing Craggark to be at -1hp and use his orc ferocity to keep standing (orc ferocity now gone)
5. the boss takes a full round action to put out the fire (failing his saving throw and taking 3 more hp dmg: this probably would have provoked another AoO from Craggark but none of us caught it and it probably benefits your party to have Craggark at 0hp instead of one; either way I'm ruling hand off the chess piece here lets move on)
6. Jawhar holds action
7. Jamir 5ft steps to I-3 pulls smelling salts and revives the unconscious Jawhar
8. Jawhar stirs awake and channel's for 1hp healing on all his allies: this brings him to -4hp (but stable an conscious), Torvald is at -5hp, and Craggark is back to 0hp (disabled), Jamir was already full please read discussion for more elaboration

The thug(in K-3) seeing the priest stir and start to use healing magic; 5ft steps to J-2 draws his axe and attempts to kill Jawhar(AC -4 while prone) while he's still on the ground die Pathfinder scum! att: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14dmg: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 The blow almost cleaves Jawhar's head in two but his skull cap prevents the axe from penetrating too far....never the less...Jawhar topples to the ground once again...

Jawhar is at -7hp, it's Craggark's turn
