A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for Levels 5–9.
On an isolated demiplane, the Pathfinders explore an Osirian ruin transported from Golarion by a powerful sorcerer centuries ago. And though the Pathfinder Society believes the fruits of their delve to be ripe for the picking, the unnatural landscape surrounding the tomb and a run-in with an unexpected guest make getting out with the treasure a tough task for the PCs.
"The Dog Pharaoh's Tomb" is the first scenario in the two-part Wonders in the Weave campaign arc. The story concludes in Pathfinder Society Scenario #3–14: Wonders in the Weave—Part II: Snakes in the Fold. Both chapters are intended to be played in order
Written by Jonathan H. Keith..
It will be in these months – the months of Gozran, Desnus, and Sarenith – that the Pathfinders of Golarion will once again scour the corners of the world for mysteries untold and treasures unfound.
Will you answer the call?
Join us April 5th, 2014 through July 5th 2014 for Play-by-Post Game Day 2: A Hymn of Wind and Flame
I expect players to post at least once every day. I am a full-time student, myself, so will likely be able to post multiple times each day, finals permitting. Looking forward to this!
To sign up, please reply with a PFS legal character. Thanks!
PS - I do plan on finishing up with Wonders in the Weave - Part II if we have the time. Also, if we get enough players, I don't mind running two tables, one for each sub-tier, but that might just be wishful thinking.

GM Kim, do you have any plans to follow this up with the second part of the series? I think it would be more fun to play through with the same group, if possible.
In any case, I submit my application to join with this character (Lady Natalia Landros, "Cleric" of Aroden 5 - actually a Battle Oracle).
*note: I need to update the character on the site, here, but will be doing it soon.

Yep, as I said in the first post, I intend to follow it up with the next part, as well, even if it happens outside of the game day event. Hopefully we can finish both within the time constraints, but if not, that's fine by me, too.
Oops, missed that part. Then, for sure, count me in for both!

So, as I read it, we have:
Al Suresh Khalida (Magus 6)
Myself (Battle Oracle 5)
Shandor (Sorcerer 5)
WerePox47 (Magus 9 or Inquisitor 8)
That gives us a legal table, at sub-tier 5-6. Another player (or two) would be good, but we can play now!
Kim, looks like you are running a lot during this game day!

[spoiler=Background]
From a nomadic tribe from the desert, (DM please insert name if you want a name). Her father, Rhachan Haduru, was the cleric in the tribe and often took his daughter on missions to get rid of the desert undead and outsiders. She learnt a lot, but did not have the absolute faith her father had, instead she started to understand the desert and mountains more and had a talent for tracking. Her father taught her about alchemy and herbs for healing as part of his clerical domain. Whilst her uncle taught her the way to make bows and traps to help in her training from Ahbu'Dansdhuk the tribes ranger and guide through the desert. She learnt many skills from him.
Unfortunately, her father died on one of her missions and in accordance with the tribal custom, she was going to be forced to marry Rashu Kuhmjan one of the tribes
unmarried men. She loathed this man and ran away from the tribe, since when she has wandered the desert and mountains searching for the undead that killed her father and earning money as a guide to traveling parties.
Her last job as a guide bought a rich merchant through the desert, on a quiet and unnoticed route known to Zaquielle and few others, to Katapesh. Despite her protestations, Abu Nadri the rich merchant, kept her in his pay to protect him whilst he did some business in Katapesh City. With his business settled, he recommended her to the local Pathfinder Lodge and she has now been contacted and asked on her first Pathfinder mission.
A smallish thin wiry girl, noticeable for her long freely flowing red hair, an unusual color for those from Osirion. She wears an old piece of leather armour, ingrained with red and black sand. The armour has dulled metal studs protruding from the greased but cracked and patched surface of the armor. She flits nimbly on her feet, never standing still very long in one place, a bundle of nervous energy. In one hand she carries an ornate brown longbow with one arrow always ready to be cocked fired, over her back quivers with plenty of sharp bright pointed arrows, twinkling in the sunlight. Also on her back is a little used buckler, as though she had bought it new very recently, the small picture of skeleton cowering from a cleric of Sarenrae holding up his holy symbol clearly visible. By her side, a flail hangs loosely attached to her brown leather belt. On her back a cloak of dark browny yellow and kahki wavy lines, it too shows the sands of the desert ingrained within its fibres, showing it has been worn by the young girl for some time. In her red hair, dried desert flowers, prove the femininity of the warrior woman. Her eyes, a brown color are alive with a vibrancy, that comes with youth and dart about searching out features in her surroundings, in much the same way she cannot keep still. The eyes though are smiling and friendly when they alight on you and take in your features, as is the smile that grows on dark complexion as she notes you as a friend.
N.B. Took out 1 rank of swim to add 1 rank linquistics, Ancient Osirian) which I always meant her to get due to her Osirian heritage...

So, the Venture-Captains, in their infinite wisdom have seen fit to team me, Lady Natalia Landros, Paladin of Aroden, up with another interesting crew.
Looks like we have:
myself (Battle Oracle 5),
Shandor (Sorcerer 5),
Al Suresh Khalida (Magus 6),
WerePox47 (Magus 9 or Inquisitor 8),
Zaquielle (Ranger 6 - archery),
and Grimner Foehammer (Inquisitor 8)
This is APL 6.3 if WerePox brings his Inquisitor, and 6.5 if he brings his Magus. I believe either then should keep us at the low tier. As an FYI - Lady Natalia will not be leveling between these scenarios (she's at 5.1 currently).
WerePox, if it matters, I would suggest that if the Magus is going to level after the first scenario, you should play the second. Beyond that, it really doesn't matter to me. Play what you'd prefer. This party is going to be interesting. ;)
GM Kim, I agree, with WerePox. Please open the discussion and gameplay threads!
| GM Kim |
Okay, so we have:
Al Suresh Khalida - Magus 6
Lady Natalia Landros - Cleric 5
Shandor "The Beast" - Sorcerer 5
Grimnir Foehammer - Inquisitor 8
Zaquielle - Ranger 6
giving us an even APL = 6. At least for the first scenario. We'll see who levels up afterwards!
And, yep, I can open up the discussion and gameplay threads.
Sharna al-Subaiyyat

If you are still looking to round things out...
I could bring a couple options:
Witch 8, with Healing Hex and cures since you can never have enough healing;
Bard-barian/DDI 7; melee/some/skills/little-bit-of-everything.
The witch is probably more useful to you guys in terms of healing, but she's level 8, so, you may not want that for APL reasons.
This is the witch but her stats aren't fully updated, I'll have to get on that.
| GM Kim |
Okay, so we are now at:
Al Suresh Khalida - Magus 6
Lady Natalia Landros - Oracle 5
Shandor "The Beast" - Sorcerer 5
Zaquielle - Ranger 6
Ilmakis - Rogue / Fighter 6
Sharna al-Subaiyyat - Bard-barian/DD 7 or Witch 8
giving us an APL = 5.8 or 6.0 = 6, no matter what Sharna brings. So bring which ever you want!
