@Jethryk. Cool. You signed up with a settlement yet for the land rush? I'm in The Golden Flask (Now Tavernhold on the Guild Leaderboard for our settlement name). Don't know if I'm actually going to play a caydenite, but it seems like a good group so far, and we've just got tentative agreement to a merger with the Dreamchasers (Desnans).
That reminds me, I need to go look and make sure we didn't get booted out of our settlement.
Nope. We're good, still up in the northwest surrounded by badlands :p If you're planning on doing much PvE stuff, I suggest heading our way, I think we're going to need everyone we can get!

@Mi'Dre: No, I am not signed-up with a settlement as of yet; my understanding was that the land rush was only for people who had backed the Kickstarter at the 'Company' level, and I signed-up as an independent...?
I was in on the kickstarter... but only did it for the physical goodies.
I spent way too much on the kickstarter, but I'm getting excited about it again now that it's actually drawing near. The land rush thing was initially just meant to be for the Company peeps, and that did reward the top three guilds with a settlement spot, but now they're doing a second round, where anyone who has bought early enrollment can 'vote' for a settlement by joining that settlement or 'guild'. So yeah you can totally look through the guilds on goblinworks and pick one you like.
As I said if you're looking to do much PvE, and plan to play a character within one alignment step of CG (so CN or NG) then you're welcome to join Tavernhold. Otherwise you can find the rest of the guilds in alphabetical order here, or the top 40 guilds in members/votes here. The top 33 (really top 30 but the guilds who won the first land rush still show up on the leaderboards) get a settlement, and 'votes' (members) are tallied weekly on a Monday morning.

I thought Mi'Dre already torched the Treant's remains, at least I said he was going to. Making a big deal out of desecrating the forest might work as well though, can take boggards as cannon fodder.

In addition, if they fail such a save, they receive another save 1 round later to prematurely end the effect (assuming it has a duration greater than 1 round). This second save is made at the same DC as the first.
Hmm, the latter option is harder but more likely to succeed.

The last week hasn't been great for me in terms of RPG headspace (note primarily due to in game fraction in another PbP that's now resolved) - and that's obviously been reflected in a lack of in game posting.
While I get back up and on my mental feet - I'm going to officially take a 1 week sabbatical from my DM'd games. This will give me the comfort to recharge my batteries and hopefully get back on the job on roughly 13th July.

Im a fan of some sports. Mostly ice hockey but I especially like sports that are on the global stage. Like the World Cup and the Olympics.
