Well have you enjoyed the Round per Round role dynamic and the way I handle encounters so far?
*cough! cough!* apart from minor mistakes of mine *cough! cough!*
Congratulations you have all won a negative trait called Nemesis!
Nemesis: You have someone/thing that actively seeks to harm you at every turn and if he can end your life early.
This negative trait goes away if your Nemesis is vanquished. Removing this negative trait grants 1,000 exp.
You also win a trait
Dare Devil: You take incredible risks for many or no reason what so ever and can actually come out unscathed. You may add once per day 1d6 to any d20 roll that you have failed.
Example:
Reinholdt attempts a will save DC 16 he fails getting a 12 since he might pass it he decides to risk and use his 1d6 extra to attempt to pass it.

Just realized that I'd forgotten to pick two of my traits.
Looking over the data base I have no idea what to pick. The only one that sticks out to me is Demon Slayer, now that we've had a taste of that. Would you allow it?
Any suggestions on other traits?

Figured would ask this here, when Alaire was laying Jager and Deylon to rest, would he have found the ring on one of them? I vaguely recall one of us picking it up but can't recall who.
That said if it's too late or whatever, that's fine. Figured I would ask all the same just in case.

You are assigned to help Alaire Ravness, as his noble father worries for him and your particular set of skills might prove useful, since there wasn't much for you to do at the manor or more likely he was just tired of you and send you on a fool's errand. Truth be told you were approached by the youngest sister the one most fond of Alaire as she pleads to you to protect him, giving you an important memento that he will recognize immediately (a toy knight very small one, size of a chess pawn). It seems the only other male in the family is ill and probably at this rate his dead bed, leaving Alaire as only male heir, which seems to be somewhat of a problem for his elder sister and her new husband. Will you protect Alaire?? Will you just be of to a fool's errand and enjoy you freedom?

The Channel that healed him was DM Fiat, Deiros said so on the last page of discussion. Not that any character would have seen it anyway, being enveloped in darkness at the time.
On that topic, I meant to ask if the Faith bonus to DCs works with Channel Energy (when Alaire uses positive energy to harm undead for instance)? It's considered a supernatural ability but figured I should check just in case.

Super boring! JK!!! :) It's been busy. My son's 2nd birthday and xmas within are 3 days of each other so I can't think creatively enough to do dialogue. Sorry. I'll post something soon. Promise

Alaire-
Loving your old-English dialogue. I happen to be a an actor who has done a lot of Shakespeare so I thought I'd give you a hand
Your last sentence-
"Sir Rammsteiner, if thy would, please take the lead. These lands are your own and it would be only fitting. If we are to avoid the tragedy of the day prior we must make haste, though."
- wasn't quite right in terms of ancient grammar. To be accurate it should have read "Sir Rammsteiner, if thou would, please take the lead. These lands are thine own and it would be only fitting. If we are to avoid the tragedy of the day prior we must make haste, though."
Hope you don't mind the critique. I really am enjoying how you've chosen to do your dialogue.
| Alaire |
No, honestly that is really helpful, Vance. It fits the noble dialogue for him to speak like that but I'll admit right now I haven't studied any Shakespeare in literally around 7 odd years. It is more than a little rusty and I don't remember a lot. Been giving it my best shot all the same.
Any help or more references like that would be excellent suffice to say! Thanks!

That is a pretty nice resource to have. I'm in the same boat as Alaire in that I haven't been subjecting myself to very much classically written literature. I'm just lucky that my PC wasn't formally educated in speech and etiquette. He has a decent CHA and strong leadership qualities and that's basically what I've based his voice on.
