Paizo's usual line is "Build anticipation towards product release" which implies, the stuff people *most* want, will playtest last....

TEASE!

*looks at the list of new stuff in the book* Eidolon templates? Yes!

Lol, it is a good thing that I didn't actually get around to designing my own Eidolon templates since Paizo has probably done a better job with them XD

So, I can't help but wonder how the templates will work. I assume that the summoner will be giving up something to add the template (which contains some abilities) to his pet. I wonder if they will work simmilarly to an idea that I was throwing around: replace the summoner's 'summon monster' ability, and in return give the eidolon a bunch of non combat abilities that will give him 'flavor'. That way summoners don't have to make a choice between giving their pet the flavor/abilities that they want and making him him into a combat machine that's actually useful to the party.

I'm also looking forward to seeing those 'ki tricks'; though who knows if I'll still be playing a monk when the book comes out XD

Assuming it works like the other open playtests the info will be available to download for anyone going to the site. No fighting or pulling of hair or the such : )

Personally I am curious about the wild magic and alternative magic systems.

WAIT A SECOND!!!! Before we all get caught up with the coolness of this book, what is with the Wayne A. Reynold's hand shot here? I mean what is that? I feel a little jipped! When do we see the FULL image?

That is the full image. You were expecting something else on the cover? The new iconic is called Rigby, and he's all about fists.

I would have thought his name was Sinister.

Forever at war with his brother, Dexter.

Ultimate Magic? Psh. That's old news. For those of you with Facebook accounts, I've unveiled the true story here.

It would make a great Dark Matter d20 campaign.

Monday? It's Monday now, right?

Where's all the stuff?

-parks on the download site-

What time? +3 hrs, I'm east coast.

I'd guess it'll go live Monday at midnight Pacific time, so 3 a.m. your time. It's prolly gonna be mentioned on the Blog as part of their midnight auto-update. Might get a main page mention as well.

My suggestion: grab your stim of choice, snuggle up to your Intertubes Sunday night, busy yourself with a selection of streaming videos or music, as per your preferences, and begin a string of regular refreshes at 2:58 a.m.

Then cry as everyone who's doing the exact same thing causes a server overload. :P

Once again, you do our community a service. This is just the kind of thing which that Mona character tries to keep a lid on.

Ross or Vic could answer better, but don't count on a midnight upload. Just wanted to add a disclaimer so no one was mad when they stay up late and then don't get something when they expect it. It will be up sometime on Monday, though, rest assured.

Historically, the playtest PDFs tend to show up between 3 and 6 PM on the release day (Paizo time), not at midnight. This may not be true this time out, but I'd be more likely to put money on a late-afternoon/evening appearance than a midnight one by far...
